We had a nice long weekend for the American 250! Close to several towns to do things during the day, off the beaten path for quiet and peaceful relaxation. Two small ponds with a steady waterfall overflow that made the most peaceful sound to just relax and unwind. Large place with plenty of sleeping spots. Your family will enjoy!
Very spacious home. The location is great for activities in the snow. Lots of room for parking!

Overall, we enjoyed our time at the cabin. The location of the cabin and outdoor space was nice. The amount of open space in the cabin was ideal for our large group. We had one issue upon arrival, but the owner handled it promptly. Suggestions for improvement would include updating bedding, towels, and furniture in the living room. Also, the cabin could benefit from a deep cleaning especially in the kitchen/living areas. We did not use the basement level. It seemed cold and dark and windows did not have curtains or blinds. The driveway was a steep gravel, one lane path. We had a very difficult time driving back up to the cabin. I highly encourage all wheel drive.
We had a wonderful weekend in Mars Hill! This was our second stay at the house—our first was over 10 years ago. We enjoyed the covered porches, and cooked a number of meals in the kitchen. It was a comfortable stay for our group, and we will likely book a stay again in the future.
We had such an amazing time at the cabin. From the large common areas to the pond area, there was so much to do. We plan on coming back for many years to come!
We had a nice family stay at the house. The kitchen was well equipped and the porches were wonderful to hang on and have a cup of coffee in the morning.
Overall, we had a great stay. The property was not as private as we thought it would be based upon pictures, but it was still nice.

Thank you Tara for your feedback. Yes we do have neighbors on each side of us that are rentals as well, however we do enforce no loud music etc after 10 pm so hopefully music wasn't the issue.
Beautiful home and area. Home was as described in the listing. Our crew fit perfectly with plenty of extra space. The cute cafe/store 5 minutes from the property was also wonderful. Would definitely stay again!
Spent a great week here for Spring break. Great location. Our favorite bed was the hanging bed on the porch. Very soothing sounds of nearby water. Very big open kitchen with plenty of space to cook. Book this place you won't regret it!
My group of 10 adults found the property to be clean, well-kept and accommodating for our group's size. In particular, the cooking equipment and dining area helped to facilitate a wonderful steak dinner. We had a wonderful time, and if your group is looking for an affordable, calm weekend, this is a great place to stay!
The cabin had an odd layout but that just added to its charm. I loved all the decor choices as well. We cooked most meals and had everything we needed. I would love to visit there again.
House was fun... had all the amenities we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub and campfires. Just hanging out with family and enjoying a nice long weekend. Owner always replied to emails.
It was a rough start but it was an incredible experience. We enjoyed every minute. Mornings on the back porch were so soothing and you never want to leave. The “boys” big and small loved the fishing. It was a wonderful experience. The hostess was very kind and always helpful.
We had a fantastic girls trip here! The cabin was very clean and had everything we could need inside. The kitchen was perfect for cooking for everyone, and the back porch was a wonderful spot to drink coffee in the mornings. The gravel road was a little hard to get up with small cars, but we made it work. Would definitely recommend for a weekend away with a larger group!
The cabin was great place for our family to get together along with our dogs. The cabin is very well stocked with pots and pans and the necessities to cook about any meal. The open kitchen-living area was a favorite where everyone could be together in a big open space with views from the windows. The hot tub was great. The outside decks were great to relax on and to look out across the ponds and the woods behind the cabin.
Would definitely rent this place again for our family get together.
