Spent a great week here for Spring break. Great location. Our favorite bed was the hanging bed on the porch. Very soothing sounds of nearby water. Very big open kitchen with plenty of space to cook. Book this place you won't regret it!
Beautiful home and area. Home was as described in the listing. Our crew fit perfectly with plenty of extra space. The cute cafe/store 5 minutes from the property was also wonderful. Would definitely stay again!
My group of 10 adults found the property to be clean, well-kept and accommodating for our group's size. In particular, the cooking equipment and dining area helped to facilitate a wonderful steak dinner. We had a wonderful time, and if your group is looking for an affordable, calm weekend, this is a great place to stay!
We spent a cozy family Christmas at this spacious cabin outside of Asheville/Mars Hill. The cabin was easy to find, the hot tub was a favorite of the family, internet worked just fine for a cabin, and we had an enjoyable week- long stay.Only issues with the space were that the place needs a good cleaning, which might have been still delayed due to regional hurricane clean up. We also might recommend a set of instructions for how best to use their specific fireplaces as we are admitted novices and couldn’t figure it out despite the assistance of how-to videos so didn’t get to enjoy that part of the stay.Overall a nice place where our family enjoyed a memorable holiday.
The cabin had an odd layout but that just added to its charm. I loved all the decor choices as well. We cooked most meals and had everything we needed. I would love to visit there again.
We had a fantastic girls trip here! The cabin was very clean and had everything we could need inside. The kitchen was perfect for cooking for everyone, and the back porch was a wonderful spot to drink coffee in the mornings. The gravel road was a little hard to get up with small cars, but we made it work. Would definitely recommend for a weekend away with a larger group!
This cabin was a fantastic spot for our family of eleven to stay for our first vacation with all our children, their partners, and our grandchildren. The cabin is gorgeous, unique, and filled with beautiful details. The large kitchen and living room were gathering places for deep discussions, games, meals, and fun. There was also enough space for everyone to have privacy. We watched the stars at night, cooked meals together, and reconnected in deep ways. We were close enough to drive to incredible hiking, rafting, and sites in Ashville. We had an unforgettable time as a family.
The cabin was great place for our family to get together along with our dogs. The cabin is very well stocked with pots and pans and the necessities to cook about any meal. The open kitchen-living area was a favorite where everyone could be together in a big open space with views from the windows. The hot tub was great. The outside decks were great to relax on and to look out across the ponds and the woods behind the cabin.
Would definitely rent this place again for our family get together.
Beautiful cabin. Neighbors weren't super close so you did have some fun. The hike up the road was always fun. Host was responsive and kind. One thing that is out of their control that was a bit of a headache was the trash. Wish there was a large bin we could put it in. Trash on sunday was also a bit of a headache. Overall, great and incredible property, maintained, and unique!
We had the best time at the cabin! It's much larger in person and the pictures don't give the area justice. There is a small pond stocked with koi and other fish a few steps away from the property.
The AC wasn't working upstairs but the owner let us know ahead of time and installed window units prior to our arrival. They worked just fine.
To get to some of the bedrooms, you have to walk through the garage but once there, it's cozy.
Would highly recommend staying here!

Quiet Rustic Vacation Home
We stayed here the week before Christmas and had a fantastic time. Brought my parents and three teens. Enjoyed tubing, hiking, zip line at Navitat and the Biltmore. We cooked most meals in the large kitchen but did eat out at the Biltmore. Amazing meal! The kids enjoyed the hot tub and downstairs apartment was their hide away. There was plenty of firewood for the beautiful fireplace. Owner was responsive and gave thorough instructions on everything. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was for cleanliness. Towels were fresh but we washed our sheets before we slept on them.
House was stocked with all necessities. Unfortunately the house was not very clean upon arrival, the refrigerator did not stay cold and property was on difficult to ground particularly for my parents. There were two parties next to us that were up very late and two stray dogs that didn’t want to leave the area. On a positive note, we enjoyed the area and corresponding with the owner was easy and timely. It was a nice break from work. Thank you Jeanine for sharing your home with us.
Cabin was actually as pictures shown online. Plenty of space for our 3 family stay. No one complained about the beds so they were all comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies & well organized. Rustic & historic decor. 2 fire places, well stocked with wood for burning. Hot tub worked great & was used a bunch.
Reason for 4 stars on cleanliness is we found a vape at the bottom of the hot tub at first use. Obvious from prior users. Cob webs in various places. But it's a cabin so we expected that. Main floor stackable washer / dryer didn't really work, so we used the ones in the garage which worked perfectly.
If we plan another trip to the area we would definitely stay again.
If there were 10 stars for communication with property manager, I would give them. She is a fantastic communicator. In any event, this was a great venue for a great event - the marriage of our daughter. Everything about the cabin was as advertised. We had no problems whatsoever. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings on the deck, chatting, and drinking our martinis. We made good use the enormous hottub. There were plenty of towels for our party of 6. And there was enough space to let everyone enjoy themselves even when they wanted to be alone. Thanks!!!!!

Nice place, but a few troubling issues
The home is very spacious and pleasantly rustic. Lots of nooks for relaxing. As has been mentioned previously, the third bedroom is accessed through the ground level garage.
That said, we spent a good deal of time and effort keeping rainwater from pouring out of the fireplace onto the floor during a moderate rain event. The gas grill was built up with so much grime and food residue that it was nearly useless. The downstairs toilet leaks around the base. Most concerning, however, is the ongoing difficulty in getting responses from the rental agent. As of two weeks after our stay, I have not received contact regarding these problems, nor have I received a refund for my security deposit. Not good.
All in all, I regretfully advise all to find another place to stay.
We provide linens, towels, a fully-equipped kitchen with quality pots and pans, microwave, toaster, crockpot, gas grill and electric grill, coffee maker, condiments and spices, salt, pepper, and delicious well water! Just bring your food!
