PRIVATE HOT TUB; BEAUTIFUL DECK WITH MOUNTAIN VIEW AND ABUNDANT WILDLIFE. There is a circular drive-in front as well as level parking right off the road in front of our sign. We own the lots on both sides of the cabin....so you'll never feel crowded .WOODBURNING FIREPLACE, PRIVATE HOT TUB . TOWER FANS & CEILING FANS ARE PROVIDED FOR COOLING. WE HAVE ADDED A HOTEL TYPE AC & heat unit to the main living area! This will cool down the kitchen, living, dining area , hall bathroom and help with cooling the bedrooms! Nights in Ruidoso are cool but there are plenty of fans to add to your comfort. Three Roku - televisions.
We do allow dogs, maximum of 2, by approval. Pet fee applies, per dog. Must be housebroken & DO NOT GET ON BEDDING OR FURNITURE. If evidence that a dog has been on bedding or furniture, additional cleaning fees apply. The Ruidoso area has so much to offer! An abundant choice of restaurants, numerous golf courses, snow skiing, breathtaking mountain scenery, shopping(many unique shops), horse racing, The new ALPINE SLIDE for fun on the mountains in summertime! Las Vegas style gambling , multiple places to hike, go karts, activities for the entire family. Our just sit on the deck, take in the beautiful mountains & wildlife, sip on your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evenings.What's not to love?
The people are among the friendliest you will find. That's why people keep returning year after year. If we do not have the dates you want, give us a call about our 2 bedroom cozy cottage next door , Elk Crossing.
You won't find a cleaner or better kept property, we don't believe! We have an excellent housekeeper and make it a priority to have top-notch bedding. We've worked hard to have a high rating on our reviews and will continue to do so! And.....we appreciate every single one! Please check road and weather conditions when traveling in winter months. Ruidoso is a mountainous area....and snow chains or 4 wheel drive is recommended in snowy seasons. We have central heat and ceiling fans, tower fans for cooling at the cabin.

We really enjoyed our week at this cozy but huge log cabin. Three bedroom and 2 baths was ample for us and our adult children. We enjoyed the wonderful hot tub and sitting on the back porch just relaxing in this beautiful haven. We would definitely book again. Thank you!

We had such a fantastic stay! The cabin was in a great location and was minutes to anything in the city. We had numerous deer around the cabin almost daily, saw/heard elk around, and the birds were nice. We traveled to White Sands NP, Lincoln, and drove up the mountain to Ski Apache. Great views! The cabin had everything we needed and more. Watching the mountain sky in the evening/night from the hot tub is always a favorite activity to see satellites and military planes flying around. When we do return to Ruidiso, we would definitely stay here again if the host would have us.

Great destination to relax

Depending on time of year, guests should be warned about lack of central a/c. Common toiletries, usually present in hotels would be nice. Lighting in kitchen was dismal.Janelle, property owner was available for calls and texts and was very responsive as needed. We loved see the wildlife.

Charming Cabin

Quick Getaway before the school year

The property was amazing. There was a small issue when we arrived and I reached out to the property owner and she had it resolved quickly. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect for Family Ski Trip

We loved our stay at this cute cabin for our family ski trip. Very close to downtown and the ski run road. Loved that we could take our dogs with us and had small backyard for them to roam. Would definitely return!

Cool and Relaxing time

We enjoyed our stay . The cabin was easy to find and it was cool and relaxing . We saw deer and elk and feed them apples from the deck. It was very enjoyable

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our week at the Lazy N cabin. The area is very convenient to midtown and grocery stores but feels private. We saw elk, deer, a fox and a lot of birds (hummingbirds, nuthatches, chickadees, jays etc.) in the area around the cabin while we were there. The small AC unit kept the cabin cool during the day and we left the windows open at night. We used the hot tub several times and it was easy to use and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes etc. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

Cozy cabin!

This cabin had everything we needed and more. Great location right off the main streets and close to restaurants and shopping! Janelle was an amazing host and answered all our questions prior and even during our trip promptly. The hot tub was great and the stars at night were amazing. We really enjoyed seeing all the tame wildlife around the cabin, especially the kids. The same deer would come back every day to see us haha. We were looking for a relaxing weekend in Ruidoso and that’s exactly what we got thanks to this wonderful place. We would definitely stay here again!

Mountain Cabin in the summer

This Cabin was nice and not to far from Mid town and a grocery store. Would have been a little more comfortable if the A/C unit was already hooked up and running- ( It was sitting on back deck awaiting install). Ruidoso was almost 90* the time our family was there. I think we would rent this place again in the fall. Janelle (owner) called us before we arrived and discussed the cabin & hot tub.

Great Getaway

The Lazy N Cabin is a well-maintained property, is as advertised and owner is so nice. The hot tub worked perfectly and the décor was very Ruidoso. Only thing that could be an issue (especially if using sofa bed) is that there are no curtains or blinds on the windows in the den/kitchen area or doors. There was a searchlight or motion detector light going off constantly late at night. We had a perfectly good time and the toddler loved the pine cones and deer!

Very nice but needing updates.

If we had known that the entry was 12 feet down from the road we would not have chosen this property. My wife had surgery on her back recently and had a difficult time maneuvering around the cabin. In other words it was a dangerous entry for her.

Cute little cabin in the woods met all our expectations for a quick shopping get away with a friend! The cabin was comfortable and well appointed with basic supplies and everything we needed. The hot tub was excellent and we very much enjoyed the back deck area for morning coffee and evening sunsets and deer watching! The cabin could use a good deep cleaning and some modernizing, but overall was a great place to stay and more than met our needs!

Great place

If you are looking for a place to stay in Ruidoso this is it. The cabin is so nice , the kitchen is full of cookware, dishes and everything you need We stayed on the deck a lot and watched the deer, wild horses, hummingbirds and elk. It’s close to town and grocery store. Your hostess is amazing. If you ave question she answers right away and so nice. We had an amazing trip. And would definitely go back

WE LOOK FORWARD TO CREATING WONDERFUL MEMORIES WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS.....AND SHARE THIS LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN WITH OUR GUESTS WHEN WE CANNOT BE THERE. Fall also is a great time to visit. The changing colors of the foliage is gorgeous, of course, holidays are wonderful in the mountains too! Perfect place to make special memories.
