First Time

House was super cute. Parking was good, was able to get truck with enclosed trailer and another big vehicle in with still enough room for another. House had everything we needed and plenty of room. Short cut trail behind house to get to beach was easy. Restaurant and grocery were close by. Only downfall was the pool was cloudy/green on arrival but the guy came out next day to treat. Checked on it daily. it was cleared by the time we left. The Roku didn’t work in the master bedroom and wasn’t fixed. Nothing to stop our fun and would come back for sure. Yes I would recommend this house.

Very nice house, enjoyed staying there

Suntastic was a great house for our needs. We had 8 people and a dog. Rooms were comfortable and cool. There was no lingering animal smell and the house was clean and neat. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and appliances if you love to cook. There are games and puzzles and the Dish TV worked great. Even though it’s in a cul-de-sac with 4 other houses, it is very private-set back off the street and woods all around it. Thank you! We had a great time!

Not a good experience this year. The place was not cleaned by checkin at 4:00 pm and no call to say it wasn’t ready. With grandkids, we needed to eat and prepare for bed upon arrival.!Could not do either. Lost the whole first day yet paid for it. And the next several days were catch up days. Then, had an ant and fly infestation problem for the remainder of our stay. Also, traffic in and out of Ocean Sands on entry and exit is deplorable. Driving there is a distasteful experience. Local grand poobahs don’t seem to care. Fine: I’ll go elsewhere. Definitely need to plan my one week vacation at a client friendly place. OBX is too complaisant.

Thank you for your feedback and for speaking with us while here. We are so sorry that we were delayed in getting the house cleaned and happy we could work out an agreeable solution. We realize the traffic getting here can be exhausting and we want everyone being able to unpack and start relaxing on time. On occasion, circumstances are presented and we work with them the best possible for a positive outcome for everyone. We do hope you will give the Outer Banks another try in the future as we do all appreciate the love our vacationers have for this area we call home.

Feels secluded because of trees surrounding house. The pool and hot tub were great hangouts.

Enjoyed our stay with family! It rained a lot throughout the week, but made the most of time in the pool and on the beach. Would have loved to walk the trail to the beach, but was flooded with rain waters.

Great place to stay

Great location. Close to grocery stores. We visited them nearly daily. Very private even though houses are close together. Trees all around. Need shade around the pool. Sun hits it nearly all day. The single umbrella was not enough to hide from the sun.

Great house, nice pool and hot tub. Everything you need is here at the house. There's a short cut path behind the house to the beach, only a 5 minute walk. Will hopefully be coming back next year.

Great Memorial Day Getaway!

My family of 5 had a wonderful stay over Memorial Day Weekend. The house had a great layout and was very clean. Towels and sheets were provided and the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and dishes. We loved the old Fisher Stereo system! The pool and hot tub were great to have at the house and the walk to the beach was under 10 minutes. We used both the gas grill and charcoal grill. It was great to be able to bring our dog with us ~ she very much enjoyed her stay as well. We also happily cashed in on the offer of a free dozen of bagels ~ thank you! The rental agency contacted us about an issue with the dishwasher, which was resolved easily. My only note to future guests would be that although the kitchen is stocked with cookware and dishes, there is NO basic cooking supplies such as salt, pepper, oil, etc. Would absolutely return!

The house was very nice, private and accommidating. We loved the pool and hot tub. Though it was a trek to the beach, the quiet time was worth it.

August 2015 Stay

We enjoyed our stay, and were generally very pleased with the overall experience with Village Realty and our accommodations. Unfortunately, we were 2 hours delayed entry while the house was being cleaned. Village Realty was very quick to respond to maintenence issues, which was much appreciated, even providing partial reimbursement for prescription pet food due to an ant and spider problem, that although addressed immediately, did continue throughout our stay. We appreciated the owners allowing us to bring our pets, and enjoyed our vacation, despite the minor inconveniences. We did want to mention that the agent who came to the house and dealt with us regarding the pet food, was by far the most personable, and professional employee we encountered, and we'd like to extend our thanks to her.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with your dog despite minor inconveniences! In an effort to keep this home free of ants and spiders the owners have arranged for regular pest control treatment moving forward. With help from your valuable feedback we will continue to improve our processes to help make vacations here even more enjoyable.
