Property was close to piers, restaurants and shopping. Food in the area was awesome. King bed was great. Directions to property parking was a little difficult to follow, but except for that the place was great, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Portland.
We stayed 2 nights after a drive through Vermont. The location is really good. Walking distance to most of the places we wanted to go. The host was helpful with directions and recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Nice to have dedicated parking not on the street. We would definitely stay here again.
This was a great location to stay in the west end of Portland. Easy walk to Old Port, great coffee shops, museums, and delicious restaurants. Short drive to see some of the best lighthouses in the state. I will definitely rebook here next year when I'm back in the area.
Unique place to stay close to everything in Portland
This place is located in a nice neighborhood close to lots of the attractions and eateries in Portland. Park the car at the place and walk to just about everything. Living space is just right for two people. Enjoyed it more than a hotel room.

Property was close to piers, restaurants and shopping. Food in the area was awesome.
King bed was great although pillows very hard. Directions to property parking were difficult to follow. Good place for a couple not needing anything fancy.
In a good location. Parking was a little tricky, but after the first time, it was easy. Walking distance to the water front. For me, there was one downside. I got sick the day we arrived. Which meant we spent the entire time at the house. The internet wasn’t great. I think this was a Portland issue, as the service was poor everywhere. I would stay here again. We drove to restaurants, but honestly, the parking was not closer than walking would have been.
Using Ann's excellent directions for finding it, we parked our car in the assigned spot and didn't move it for 3 days! Walked to shops, restaurants, and bars. Victoria Mansion is literally at the end of the block and the art museum is about 3 blocks away. Less than 20 minutes to harbor for Casco Bay ferries. Check out the places along Wharf Street. Kitchen is small but efficient and we only used it for breakfast and evening drinks/snacks. Neighborhood market is pricey so get your groceries before arrival if you don't want to drive. Traffic isn't awful but parking is very limited.
This was our second stay at this apartment. i wrote a raving first review and said that if we came back we would stay here again if we could. I won't repeat everything I said in my earlier review. Simply stated, look no further for a superb place to stay in Portland!
This is a spacious older property in an excellent location. Great curb appeal, large living room and dining room, fully equipped kitchen. Attractive interior with hardwood floors, nice period wood trim, etc. Good sized bedroom with update bath (shower and vanity). We decided not to rent a car and instead walked to everything, although an off street parking space was provided. Very nice quiet neighborhood. Close to art museum, music, Old Port waterfront. So many restaurant choices- most all are local; not chain restaurants. Easy check in/out. Short ride to airport. Would stay again if we return to Portland.
Property is centrally located making walking around town pleasant. Dozens of restaurants, shopping opportunities, museums and other activities are in easy reach. Drive to PLH is quick too. Would stay again if we return.
Everything you could want in a can't beat location with a warm, responsive host. Easy walking to Old Port and environs with off-street parking for longer Maine treks. Nicely laid out with private spaces to the rear and "public" (lounging, entertaining) spaces to the front with well-equipped kitchen in between. High ceilings, pocket doors and architectural details add charm. Lovely for both short and extended stays. We'd look forward to returning.
The apartment was very comfortable and supplied with everything we needed. Very convenient location. Close to everything. Anna was always available if we had any questions. Nice street & neighborhood.
There were some quirks about the apartment (small shower, odd tiny step going into kitchen, non-closing interior doors) but all on par for an older home (our house is 200 yo and has many of the same quirks), but they do not detract from the excellent stay. The apartment is centrally located and a short walk from everything. Once we parked, we didn’t need our car until we left. The owner responded to correspondence on a 12-24 hour delay. Overall a great place to stay and we would stay here again.
We stayed for hear for 3 nights and were very pleased. My partner and I were working remotely and the dining area allowed for us to comfortably use the desk and dining room table. The location is wonderful! Walking distance to Old Port, Waterfront and around the corner from the Art Museum. And.....so many good restaurants!!
My wife and I spent 10 days, August 8-18, 2021 at .this delightful apartment. We have done 75+ home exchanges and apartment rentals in the past 20 years and this was one of very best experiences ever. Communication with Ann was very easy and quick.. She was always friendly and accomodating. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, well appointed, attractive and nicely laid out.. The kitchen is very well equipped. The water pressure in the bathroom is great and there is ample hot water, which comes on quickly.
We loved the location. It's on a a quiet street in a very nice part of town. We flew in from New Orleans and did not rent a car. We walked everywhere we went. However, whenever we went to the Old port and Waterfront, we ubered back to the apartment. The walk to the Waterfront is easy, slightly downhill all the way and takes only about 15 minutes. The trip back to the apartment is uphill most all the way.
This was our 3rd vacation trip to Portland, ME in recent years and our very best trip there yet! If we return to Portland again, and that's very likely, we will determine the dates of our visit based upon our ability to stay at this apartment. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Ann's place was perfect for my family. We traveled with two large dogs and an infant and the home was more than accommodating. The location was perfect and we were able to walk everywhere. The home was very clean but there was a fish smell in the kitchen when we first arrived that I think may have been from a previous stay putting something down the garbage disposal. I ran the disposal again and the smell dissipated. Overall, it was an amazing stay and we will definitely come back if we visit Portland again!
