Overall, we loved our stay here, there was a small group of us. The host has excellent communication skills, overall clean and comfortable, no complaints. Enjoyed using the outdoor space in the back and close access to the beach which we really enjoyed. Everything clean and tidy. Would rent again the future
This place was perfect for my girls trip we Loved our stay, it was bigger than I expected plenty of space. It does have a tv. Watch for falling acorns!
We really appreciated the space and the location. Monarch Covid is one of our favorite places in the world. The area is very family friendly. You have access to the beach. We rented a pontoon and we had access to get everybody on and off on a separate dock just down from the cabin.
It is a good location and decent size home in a very cute neighborhood. My only complaint is that the house felt very well loved at the end of the season. Several missing light bulbs, a shower drain that filled up quickly, a broken door, missing knobs and bent up vents. I would have loved if the light switches were labeled as they were somewhat confusing. Don't let any of these things keep you from booking just a few things for the owner to keep in mind for end of season in the future. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
I was a bit disappointed that the house didn't look like the pictures posted on VRBO. Although the house was nice, I think there could have been some minor improvements. The deck was nice but the furniture and cushions were very dirty. Emma was a pleasure to work with and our communication was top notch
We thought the cottage was delightful and perfect for our family of 6 adults. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and patio area. We used the docks for tie up during the day and swam off of one of the boating docks when the Methodist camp kiddos were using the swim area for their activities.
Cabin is super cute and well equipped with nice appliances, comfortable beds and gas grill. Communication with owner, check in and check out was great! Community has a nice playground and solid, stone stairs with handrail to docks. “Beach” is on the second to last landing of stone stairs and is not zero entry into lake. Towing a boat is a little tricky in the neighborhood as streets are narrow. I would stay here again!
Brought family to start our summer off. Did some shore fishing, boat fishing and just cruised the lake. Community is very friendly and laid back. Host made it so I really didn’t need to ask anything of her.

Thank you for your review! We would love to have you again!
We enjoyed our stay at Lake Okoboji! The house was very clean, comfortable, and family friendly. There’s a nice large tv in the corner of the living room, which isn’t in the pictures. We didn’t spend a lot of time in Monarch Cove because we were visiting family who live on the lake, but the playground and public dock area looked nice. Easy access to the lake trail for running, walking, or biking.
Home was very clean inside with everything we needed. There was a lot of small debris outside and it needed a good leaf blower and broom to it. There were a lot of sticks and leaves everywhere. But overall, it served the purpose for what we needed. It’s not close enough Arnold’s Park to rent a golf cart. We still had a good time.
