The house needs a handy man to go through and fix ,cabinets and draws. The refrigerator handle is loose and quite noisy. The TV was hard to set up .The description of the house did not say it had another unit that was occupied

Yosemite Aviary had plenty of space for our party. The A/C / fans cooled down the place pretty quickly. The kitchen is well stocked for all pots/pans/utensils. Parking is truly limited to 2 cars so you need to consolidate outside of the park if there are more.

Terrible experience with the Host. We arrived late Wednesday night to find the rental without power. Although PG&E warned customers about the potential outage more than 24 hours in advance, the Host, Grand Welcome, claimed they weren't aware of it until we notified them. They then provided information showing restoration wasn't estimated until 3 days later, almost our entire trip. There was no heat, refrigeration, ability to cook, lights, or power for my elderly parent's medical equipment. Staying in a mountain home in October without power wasn't a viable option for any longer than we had to. We vacated first thing the next morning, notified Grand Welcome, completed the checkout tasks we could, and found alternative accommodations.I don't blame Grand Welcome for the weather or the outage. I do blame them for refusing to make guests whole who arrived for their reservation and could not reasonably use the property. I also blame them for not informing us in advance about the potential outage, or taking steps to make the home safe and livable without power.We showed up and found the home without electricity, heat, refrigeration, lighting, or the ability to cook. Under those conditions, the property was uninhabitable for anyone, yet Grand Welcome still refuses to make us whole.Based on how Grand Welcome handled this situation, I would never book another property managed by this company. I hope they choose to do the right thing and reconsider. House is worn and dirty too.

Great location for visiting and exploring Yosemite but this home is tired! House was as clean but bed spreads and mattresses need replacing. Two burners on stove top were not working. Stove is so old there are no markings that identify temperature levels or determine which burner works with which knob. Cabinet door missing in the bathroom. Kitchen drawer is missing stopper and falls out when opened too quickly. Did not disclose there is a downstairs rental unit in the house. Downstairs tenants must pass the bathroom window in the shower that needs to be kept open because there is no vent/bathroom fan. There are washer dryer hook-ups in the downstairs bathroom. The fan in the living room is loose and swings when turned on. Downstairs fridge handle needs repair. The fridge is super loud and should be replaced or swapped with the one upstairs. Interior wall paint is mixed hues of a similar color. Property management texted if I wasn’t going to leave a 5 star review to reach out. I did. I was told these issues could not be addressed because we were leaving the next day. When we looked at prior reviews for the unit we noticed renters experienced many of these same issues the last few months. Feels like gaslighting!

Comfortable bed, good WiFi, and hot showers, but the place is in need of maintenance. Only two of the stove’s four burners worked. When we contacted the host, the initial response was, “Don’t cook on it.” When we asked what we were supposed to do with all of the food we brought (nearest grocery of any type or restaurant is minimally 30 minutes away), the response was, “OK, use it.” We were told someone would be sent to fix the stove the first morning of our stay, but no one ever showed up. This is just not acceptable, as the signs on the wall near the door are very specific about how things should be left at the end of the stay since the Grand Welcome Group’s cleaners have over 100 properties to service. If they own that many properties, they need to have a full time maintenance person on retainer 24/7. The stove was never fixed during our four day stay (no maintenance even showed up) and we cooked for six people on two burners throughout our stay. The towel bar fell off the wall in the bathroom the first time someone attempted to take a towel off of it. The handle to the downstairs sliding door came off in our hands when we tried to open and shut the door. Good location in regards to Yosemite, but maintenance and updates are definitely needed.

We have stayed in several VRBO properties and based our expectations on the online photos and description. This property was not as represented. It was dirty, poorly maintained, and raised multiple safety and security concerns.We documented and photographed numerous problems: the front door did not close properly, leaving a large gap; the kitchen tablecloth had grease stains; the sink contained black hair and grass; the shower had mold; the cabinets were filthy; a bathroom was missing a drawer, leaving a dirty opening; a bath towel had mascara on it; bathroom mirrors were smeared; the refrigerator handle was broken; the back door could be pulled open from outside even when locked; and the deck was dirty and appeared potentially unsafe, so we did not use it. The downstairs ceiling fan made a loud grinding noise, the furniture was old, dirty and broken down, and a bedroom had a bug trap. The neighboring property also appeared to be a junkyard.After one night, we notified the owner through the VRBO app that we were leaving early and provided photographs. We followed all checkout instructions. Grand Welcome responded that no refund could be provided because they had not been given an opportunity to inspect or correct the problems. We questioned why the property had not been properly inspected, cleaned, and maintained before our arrival.We were effectively displaced, remained there approximately 12 hours, and spent the following day finding a hotel for the remaining two nights.

Great place, close to many sites

This is a great place to stay! It's right in the park and close to many sites if you have a few days to explore. The grill came in very handy for our group of friends. WiFi worked great and every room had a fan. I will say, the beds are a little on the stiff side, but if you bring a cushion top, you'll be fine. Would stay here again.

Very good stay

For some reason, the booking is Not reflected in Vbro. Email doesn't convey. Last min checked in but we are in the mountain which has No internet to get aNy 8nstruction. If check in process is sent 24 hours ahead, will be Much better. PropertyBis great! No stairs compared with a long stairs with most of the other properties.

Yosemite West is a a great location for easy access to Yosemite NP. The property had good WiFi and a nice oven and microwave. It also has great potential. That was the good part. Unfortunately, it is suffering from cummulative neglect. It’s The bugs inside the house, black widow spiders outside, pealing paint, overall lack of cleanliness almost everywhere, as well as broken cabinets, and a busted water faucet were a huge disappointment. Our 24 yr old says the place is fine for a group of young adults looking for easy access to the NP. That may be true but that is not how the place was advertised or propmoited.

Overall we loved the location - we were closer to the red woods side ( Mariposa) and at least 30 minutes drive to the falls or half dome, and other attractions,Space was needing some care and maintenance as bathroom had a drawer missing, beds were not very comfortable, comforters looked very old and there was an overall smell of dust. The last day we found mouse droppings in the laundry counter drawers as we were looking for Landry detergent. We provided feedback for most things we observed right away and received acknowledgement of feedback but nothing was done to try to remediate any of it.

The location in the park was convenient to everything, the neighborhood was bery nice, the view was awesome, the size of the property was perfect, the beds and baths were all awesome and parking was great too. the plenty of hotwater! They supplied paper towels, toilet paper and all linens and bath towels needed. Laundry detergent and dish soap for washing dishes was light so you can by another small bottle at the store if you are there for a bit and plan on cooking. They supplied dish detergent for dishwasher too.The satellite TV did not work at all our entire stay bit id you have streaming on a laptop, the wifi is great. We had that so we used that once oe twice at night. Wifi works great if you need to do any work.Very peaceful setting. Stove does not work great, only got one burner to work and on the last day the burner would not work right, had to play with it for a bit but got it to finally work. There os a toasters and a microwave and an oven and a grill too.Over all it was a great stay.

It was fine. The beds were comfortable. The windows were difficult to open. There was no laundry soap available. There was an inadequate supply of bathroom soap. The left two burners on the stove didn’t work. The television didn’t work and we did have savvy tech people with us so it wasn’t us. There was debris on the back upper deck. There was bear activity. We had a bear on the deck two mornings I realize that you have no control over that piece.
