My daughter had a great 20th birthday in Yosemite. The host is friendly, the place is awesome! You have everything you need. We will definitely be staying here in the future!
This place was absolutely perfect for our stay! It is a beautiful location and Bill has thought of everything to make your stay a special one. The kitchen is very well stocked. There is plenty of room for families to stretch out. The beds are very comfortable. Great communication! I’m very picky when it comes to the properties I stay in, and this place met ALL my family’s needs. I can’t wait to return!
My family and I had a blast! This place was spacious and clean and the perfect location being a short drive down to the valley. My girls (12, 12, and 5 years old) enjoyed the area around the cabin exploring and building snowmen. The owner was super friendly and communicative. Highly recommend! I hope to come back again!
This house was perfect! It provided a worm and cozy place to gather after a Yosemite adventure… The host has done a great job providing anyone interested with very accurate details and he was incredibly welcoming and accommodating…Thank you!!
The home is just as lovely as described in the listing. It was spacious enough for our group of 4 and also offered privacy. We would definitely stay there again.
Close to Glacier point Road inside Yosemite National Park. Quick access to Yosemite Valley compared to outside the park accommodations. The house is well equipped and comfortable. We prepared most meals at the house.
Great location for going to the Valley, Glacier Point, and Wawona. While house is just outside the park, we did not have to go through an entrance station every day. Quiet and clean. Owner is friendly, communicative and available.
Very nice place inside the park. Owner thought of about every thing we may need, including flour for our sausage gravy, motion lights for going to restroom at night ,Shampoo/conditioner/bodywash. Comfortable livingroom furniture . Couch was used to sleep on by my nephew, no complaints. Yosemite is great, if prone to car sickness need to ride up front. Enjoy!windeDo take note
Bill was quick to answer questions prior to stay and during the stay. The power company was doing a rolling power outage and Bill came over to check on us and let us know about supplies in the condo we might need due to the outage. It only lasted a few hours though. The condo was laid out well for a family of 5 and the main area seemed larger than the pictures appeared in the listing. Beds slept well and the condo was clean. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking items. It was the last week of July, so without air conditioning it was warm in the condo, but we were not there much, too many things to explore. Would recommend this condo and would stay here again.
This is a great location for seeing Yosemite NP. It's inside the gates, so no waiting in line at the entrances. The house had plenty of room and was reasonably clean. The master bed was a bit funky and made the occupants roll toward the center, but
My family and I stayed one night before heading out for a backpacking trip.
Pros: beautiful property and amazing locations. Owner communicated everything we needed to know about entering the park to access the property. Easy check in. So many movies, it was great.
Cons: the couch and lazy boy seemed pretty dirty but were very comfortable. Smelled a little mildewy inside but not too bad. No coffee to start the day (I’m used to properties having at least one day of coffee but this is obviously not a requirement). There were no throw or extra blankets that I could find.
Overall a nice place.
Nice quiet location, property owner nearby and helpful for any needs. About a 30min drive to the valley, nice and close to glacier point road and great hikes along it.
There is no air conditioning in this home. We visited in July and it was terribly hot and the house didn’t cool off until well after midnight with the windows open. Very uncomfortable if you get hot weather. Also, the house has a bad ant infestation in the kitchen and master bath. The online description failed to mention there is an extra charge per person. We initially booked for three people and then our adult son decided to join us and we were hit with an extra fee when we arrived. Overall a very mediocre experience and I wouldn’t stay there again.
Location (Yosemite West) was perfect for getting to the trails and activities we chose. Bill (owner) was gracious with his time and was so helpful with information to 1st timers to Yosemite. No issues regarding no A/C. We were able to regulate the temperature by opening the windows and letting the wonderful breeze flow through the house.
This property worked well for us. Good location and access to Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point and Mariposa. Tioga road was still closed when we visited. Two bedrooms in the basement were nice for cooler sleeping. Two nice bathrooms, one on each level were well lit and clean. There were only two of us but several could stay at this house comfortably.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything you would need was provided in abundance. No need to bring anything but personal items. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Yosemite.
We enjoyed our stay at this property with our adult son. Lots of room. It was challenging planning for the forecasted winter weather, and the Host next door was super helpful. The property description was perfect.
I stayed here with my wife and our infant son for a 4-day trip to Yosemite. You can anywhere in the valley within about 30 minutes, and this house is also nicely situated to visit Glacier Point, Wawona, or the Mariposa Grove. The house is 2 levels, with the kitchen, living room, 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom on the top level, and 2 more bedrooms and another bathroom on the lower level. It's nicely laid our to give everyone some room to roam, and the views from the deck are beautiful. The space was clean, well equipped, and well maintained. Highly recommended!

About the host
Hosted by Bill Russell
After growing up in Wisconsin I finally moved in 1980 to Yosemite to climb the rocks and mountains. In the winter I enjoy skiing the winter snows and when the snow melts into river water I use the same water for kayaking, rafting and fly fishing. I have worked as a rock climbing guide and instructor at the Yosemite Mountaineering School since 1993 and I'm very familiar with all the scenic and recreational opportunities available in and around Yosemite 12 months a year.
Why they chose this property
Yosemite Park Way is at the end of the road and in a less built-up part of Yosemite West. This insures less noise and traffic.
