The Bayou Lodge was the perfect getaway for our family of 21. We had 11 adults and 10 children and it couldn’t have been a better location and home. From the check-in process, wonderful welcome basket, well stocked home, fantastic covered porch, dock and kayaks, it made our bi-annual family reunion the best ever! There was so much to do and room for everyone. We will definitely be back! Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

We had a great extended-family weekend at the Bayou Lodge located in great area on Lake Martin!! If you bring your own water toys, there is boat launch nearby and the boathouse and dock easily accommodates 2 boats and 2 wave-runners. There is very comfortable outdoor furniture on all the porches and decks and a fire pit for night time S’mores. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil or gadget you need for family dinners and other entertaining like our granddaughter’s First Birthday celebration. All the bedrooms are spacious and almost all have private baths. There are so many separate areas for sitting and relaxing that each generation can find their own spot in this house. The hosts were very helpful throughout the planning and check in process and we had no need to contact them during our stay. We would definitely recommend this property for any large group including either a family reunion or corporate weekend retreat.

Great place for a big group!

We loved every minute of our stay, we had 15 adults and 4 children under the age of 3 and never once felt crowded. We will definitely be booking another trip next year. Highly recommend.

Family Christmas

We loved everything about our stay. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated. Our stay was enhanced by enjoying family time around the fire pit at night. We are already looking forward to our return trip this summer!

Wonderful trip, the house had plenty of amenities (including baby items). The fire pit next to the water was a hit all day and night. The kids enjoyed the canoes and Kayaks. Right across the water from the boat launch kept the little ones entertained watching the boats load and unload. The pool table and board games kept all ages entertained. Very clean, great location, for a large group it was excellent. We enjoyed it so much we began checking the availability as soon as we checked out. We hope to book again soon!

Beautiful home for a large group

We had all ages and plenty of places to sleep. I especially like that there are two dining room tables so everyone could eat together in the same room. There are lots of water toys to use and the deck and dock are beautiful. The owners are very helpful if you need anything. The location on the lake is great for children to play and swim.

Great location for retreat

The house was a great location for a leadership planning retreat. Everyone had adequate space to spread out and have some down time/quiet time and there was ample space for us all to come together for open discussions; around the gathering table and in the living room. The views of the lake are amazing.

Our Second Stay At Bayou Lodge

This was our second year staying at Bayou Lodge and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We have a large family and some with mobility limitations so having bedrooms on the first floor and minimal steps to the water is a must for our group. We love Lake Martin and plan to come back as often as we can.

WOW! The photos of this property do not do it justice - though no photos really can! It is beautiful, welcoming, sprawling ans we had the most wonderful time during our weekend at the lake. We rented the property to host a Pilates Wellness retreat for 15 guests and there was more than enough room for everybody to have their own space or for all of us to gather together. Kitchen is well equipped. Plenty of parking for the entire group. Robin was so lovely to chat with and had great recommendations. 10/10 would stay here again! Thank you!
