The home is beautiful and has beautiful views. The host communication was great and effortless! This was a great spot for our small family gathering! We even found a few shark's teeth.

What a great location for an awesome vacation rental. The three floors of the house is amazing and the views of the bay a huge added bonus. The house is well equipped, and you can tell that the owners stay there part time. The layout allows for socializing and fun on the middle level with a sitting areas and screened in porch while others can find some peace and quiet if needed on the upper or lower floorsThe private beach access is awesome and a true benefit. Will look to find this place again next time.

The four of us, old friends for over 40 years, truly enjoyed our stay! We have traveled near and far, but are quite likely to return to the beach. The Cottage was spacious and spotless, with everything we needed for comfort, and then some! Actually, there truly are 4 bedrooms so we each had privacy and comfort to spare. We had a couple of questions; our gracious hosts responded right away and helped us get settled. One thing to be aware of, though, is the slender spiral staircase. A slight challenge for us women of a certain age, especially hauling our luggage up and down. And it might be a challenge for hefty persons too. The outside stairs served as a backup so we made it work for us. For the most part though, we do highly recommend The Cottage for friends and families to enjoy. Cheers to our hosts!

We booked this house for a group of 4 of us. The house could have comfortably held at least another 2 people. My first impression was just of how large it was.. large and CLEAN! The bathrooms, kitchen, porch, towels, bedding, everything was in great condition. My favorite parts of the house were the top deck, the spiral staircase, and the cliffs out back. You could hear the waves from below while relaxing with coffee on the top deck. The number of stars visible at night were breathtaking. I really can't say enough about the house and its location. There was a fire pit outside to enjoy, and wood burning stoves to use in the winter. For the ones who love nature, there is a giant Butterfly Bush in the front yard. I have one, and it attracts one or two butterflies.. but this one was covered in them! A dozen at least! In case you forget to pack your binoculars, no worries. They have a pair. I saw two bald Eagles just soaring over the water and countless other water birds while on the deck by the cliffs! It was just a really nice trip. The owners were polite, kind and responded via text very quickly. If you book this place, make sure to check out the fossil hunting and shark tooth hunting at Calvert Cliffs. That was really fun. Just be ready for a loooong hike to the beach!

We had an amazing time!!! The house is well appointed with updated appliances, cleaning supplies, soft towels, full kitchen items as described! We spent most of our time on the screened in porch!! Awesome bay views!! No beach view or access. Nice to have 4 bathrooms!! (1 full bath ensuite and a 1/2 bath upstairs and 1 full bath on lower level, and half bath on main floor). A tiny bit disappointed that there wasn't an additional full bath upstairs with the bedrooms but we made it work!!! Spiral staircase was a bit daunting at first! As another reviewer stated, outside stairs were a great workaround for luggage. The host was very responsive! Would absolutely stay here again!!

This was a wonderful stay from start to finish. Everything was exceptionally clean, well organized and clearly cared for. The home felt fresh the moment we walked in. The carpet looked brand new, and every room was spotless. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the sheets were cozy. The towels were plush and soft, which is always appreciated (especially if you're picky about textures). The exterior staircases came in handy (like another reviewer had said). Personally, I'm not a fan of spiral staircases, and I was traveling with my older father, so having the outside stairs made bringing luggage up and down so much easier. It's one of those thoughtful details that shows the owners considered their guests' comfort and accessibility.I also loved the little touches throughout the home, like providing dark towels specifically for makeup removal. The property was exactly as described, thoughtfully equipped, and very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well-maintained place to stay. (No direct beach access though.)
