I know pictures can be deceiving when renting. This house was everything and a little more! I was so happy walking through the doors. The house was so cute and welcoming. The rooms were perfect size and plenty of room in the kitchen! It's the little things...loved that there were hangers in all the closets, plenty of towels in the bathroom and shampoo/soap dispensers. We did arrive at 4am I was so appreciative that there were coffee pods to use until we were able to shop. The use of the grill was a bonus with plenty of seating outside to enjoy beautiful view. Communication with the host was quick when questions were asked. They also provided information about things to do in the area.Unfortunately the paddle board was deflated. When I reached out, I received a quick response that it actually had a hole. The yellow kayak had a small hole at the bottom, it was usable but needed to be emptied at times. Im sure all of these are wear and tear. Im glad we were still able to get out on the water.Thank you so much for letting us stay at your lake house!Jen, Mark and family (June2026)

Great location on Beautiful Lake
Lake house with a split bedroom layout perfect for friends or extended family. Gorgeous view from living area and ample outdoor space. Roomy kitchen for food prep and adjacent space for dining. Newer bathrooms and amply furnished bedrooms. Multiple outdoor spaces which are usable but not recently updated.
We had a pipe burst in our home and had to be out of the house for almost 3 weeks with our 4 dogs. The Sheridan house was accommodating for our puppies and it worked out fantastic.
Great location and home! Very quiet neighbors. Easy to communicate with the property manager. No real issues or questions arose, one of the better homes we have stayed in over the years. We only wished there were more and softer furnishings in the dining/great room area. People congregated most here and would be nice to have a few more comfortable options for lounging or sitting other than the table and chairs. Great outdoor spaces and plenty of yard space for activities. A few yard games provided would be nice since it was rather cold and windy for swimming or fires the days we were here. We would love to come back to this home if the opportunity presented itself.
We had a lovely stay at this lakefront home! The highlight was definitely the beautiful lake—it offered peaceful views and a relaxing atmosphere throughout our trip. The sunroom, with its large windows overlooking the water, quickly became our favorite spot to unwind. The kitchen was impressively spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals and gather as a group. The bedrooms were a comfortable size, and the bathrooms have clearly been recently renovated—they were clean, modern, and very functional.Another pleasant surprise was the friendly neighbor to the right, who greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome in the area. One thing to note: outside of enjoying the lake, there isn’t a whole lot to do nearby unless you're up for a bit of a drive. Vegetarian dining options are also pretty limited in the immediate area. On cooler days, we drove out to the Volo Museum and Gurnee Mills mall, both of which were fun outings.Overall, if you're looking for a peaceful lake getaway with great amenities and don’t mind a bit of driving for activities or dining variety, this is a wonderful place to stay.
