Wonderful villa

Fantastic stay!

Our stay in this villa was great, amazing space inside and out. We travelled out of season in late October so really appreciated the heated pool and heating available in the villa as it was. A bit chilly at night. It is ideally situated to visit all other areas of the Algarve. Loved our stay, thank you.

This is our third time at Villa Rose and everything, yet again, was perfect for us. We had a very relaxing 10 days with another 4 rounds of golf played at the Gramacho and Alto courses. Thanks again Nick for having us.

Great family holiday

Well located lovely family villa.heated pool and comfy large lounge were highlights. Great balcony over looking golf course. Plenty of loungers but could do with an upgrade. Water park 4 minutes away was fabulous and restaurants in carvoeiro excellent, a lot of choice and great food. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Fantastic villa

We spent 7 days with family and grandchildren. It was above expectations and we can’t fault it in any way. Very comfortable, great location, like home from home. And the heated pool was a bonus. Very easy communication with owner. We’ll definitely go back and recommend to friends.

The villa was very spacious and had a great outdoor property. Separate lounge areas by the pool , fire pit area , ping pong table and upper outdoor deck with seating area and a beautiful view of the golf course. Unfortunately the villa was not clean inside or out and needed updating. Interior did not present well at all. The host did not respond quickly at first as we had some issues with the freezer, & air conditioners. It would be helpful to have a list of service numbers in the unit for required maintenance and any important information regarding the property, It was a disappointing stay.

Another wonderful stay

The villa is even better than the photographs show. Gorgeous pool , lovely garden and spacious rooms. Added bonuses are multiple channels on the enormous television and ping pong table ! Communication with the owner Nick is excellent. Once again a fantastic holiday at this delightful villa.

Just had a wonderful 7day stay in this fantastic villa. The house is perfectly situated in a beautiful, peaceful location with easy access to shops, restaurants and golf courses!! The indoor layout of the villa was perfect, with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. The outdoor area was also amazing with a gorgeous pool, great seating/sunbathing areas and wonderful views. Communication with the owner, Nick, was excellent. We would definitely come back and would highly recommend to family and friends

Heated Pool was amazing...

Nick's villa was perfect for our family holiday, we selected this villa as we wanted a heated pool for our daughter who has Cerebral Palsy so she could stay in the water longer than a non-heated pool and it worked a treat... Ideal location if you like to visit close by towns, Carveiro, Ferruguda, Portimao, Silves etc... We had a fantastic family holiday and seeing my daughter enjoy the swimming pool as she did will give us great memories, thank you Nick...

Peaceful and relaxing

We had a lovely fortnight at Villa Rose, the villa is well equipped and very comfortable and set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We arrived at midnight and the key collection was all as procedure and posed no problem at all. The pool was a delight and beautifully warm enabling swimming every day and the gardens were just coming out in flower and looked lovely. We had a meal at Quinta dos Santos, a local winery which is only minutes away which was fabulous sitting on the verandah watching the sunset and there are numerous very good restaurants within easy reach, you are spoiled for choice!

An autumn break

Great house, much bigger than expected with nice pool. A few little irritations which are easily solved and shouldn't put you off. No bath mats, tea towels, hand towels , dish cloths, cleaning equipment. All the sun lounger cushions were soaking wet as outside in the rain.

Perfect house in perfect location

This was a return visit to Villa Rose for our family, having had an amazing summer vacation there last year. Again, Villa Rose did not disappoint. The owner had done some work on the house since our last stay so the house was lovely and fresh inside and out. Newly re-covered lounge suite and new covers on the pool loungers which made a big difference. The house has everything you need from an amazing pool, to Sky TV in the lounge and additional televisions in the bedrooms. My husband and two sons brought their golf clubs this time and played 8 rounds over three of the Pestana courses which they thoroughly enjoyed. The Pestana staff are all friendly, attentive and also eager to help when required. We love the house so much we are already booked in for October for another 10 day vacation. 10 out of 10 for everything.

Perfect 2 week break

By far the nicest villa we have stayed in. Spacious and well equipped. Great location. Outside space perfect. Lovely pool area and BBQ etc. very peaceful on the golf course. TV in the sitting room was brilliant for watching the Euro’s final. Nick was the perfect host. We booked a year ago and whenever I sent an enquiry it was answered promptly. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Lots of supermarkets close by. Auchan was probably our favourite. Also has a good pharmacy. Apollonia was probably the equivalent of Waitrose - nice but pricey. Avoid Aldi - awful. Carvoerio has some lovely restaurants. Highly recommend taking a boat trip from Portimão to see the caves. We used Atlantis Tours. Club house on the resort - very good for a G&T at the end of day. All in all a perfect 2 week holiday with our teenage children and their friends. Would highly recommend.

Good stay

We stayed at this villa over the Easter holidays. Overall, the place was great for our family of 6 - two kids, parents and grandparents. Plenty of space in terms of bedrooms, living room and dining room. Ping pong, pool and large TV for entertainment and well-maintained garden. Kitchen was supplied with enough dishes/utensils to prepare most meals at the villa. Villa is also equipped with central heating, which was lucky because the weather was cold and wet during our stay. Nick was a great host and was very responsive to any inquiries we had, including having a pool manager come over to check the pool following a big storm. One thing to consider...check-in/check-out is done through the golf course nearby, which took extra time as the reception desk was managing other guest issues at the same time we were collecting and dropping off keys. We have stayed at other villas in Carvoeiro over the years, which by our own personal standards were better equipped in the kitchen, had cleaner more modern bathrooms, and were better positioned within Carvoeiro, which is why we have given an average rating here.

Best communication ever !

We stayed at Nick's house for 1 week in October. The communication with the owner is 100%, the BEST I have ever experienced! Really very good. You should know that the house is a bit older, the equipment is a bit outdated, the kitchen is fully equipped, dishes and appliances could be renewed, but do their job. We bought a “sharp” knife on site which we left in the house. The next guest will be pleased. Unfortunately the house was not well cleaned when we arrived, crumbs and dirt everywhere, bathrooms not really clean. We bought some cleaning products and cleaned the house. The owner invited us to dinner at his expense, thank you very much. In the bathroom there is unfortunately already a lot of mold on the silicone joints and in the lower guest bathroom it smells if you do not close the drain from the sink. TV in the living room mega and a great sound. Unfortunately, the devices didn't work in 2 bedrooms, but that was a good thing so the kids don't have to watch TV all the time ;-) The pool and garden are okay and the golf course right next to the house doesn't bother us too much. However, the house is on the main road to the reception of the golf course, and there is quite a lot of traffic that you can hear. All in all ok and smooth communication and key handover/return. Once the house gets a “basic renovation” with fresh equipment, then it will be a 5 star house again. So there are 3 from us.

Wanted to love it.

This property is lovely but needs updating,the villa was not adequately clean on arrival.Sadly the start of our holiday was really let down and we were disappointed to have to sort out several issues before we could relax. The owner was quick to respond and more than happy to help but it would have been better had they been proactive rather than reactive as the first week was spent fixing the issues.The cleaning service is not thorough and as the owner is restricted to using the resort cleaning service you should be prepared to expect 'evidence' (trying to be nice here) of the last renters.The owner responded quickly to our complaint and sent the cleaners back but the cleaners only allow a 2hr clean of the property so even this did not sort it out.The whole place needs a deep clean. The kitchen and appliances need updating for rental,the stair bannister needs stabilising(we had a disabled family member and the only bath in the property is upstairs FYI)The washing machine was broken on arrival and replaced the following week;great but the machine should have been replaced years ago.Toilet seat was broken and cupboards in the bathroom were not usable and housed bits and pieces.TVs in the two downstairs bedrooms were not smart even though we had stressed their importance prior to booking. The huge Smart TV in the lounge was great and the pool is beautiful and well maintained.We had a drain issue which meant that there was a sewerage smell for the first 2 weeks. Mixed experience.

Das Haus ist sehr grosszügig und gut unterteilt. Der Garten ist ebenfalls sehr gross und gepflegt. Der Pool ist gut nutzbar. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist sehr gut. Insbesondere ist zu erwähnen, dass der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter sehr gut ist. Er antwortet innert Minuten und hat für alles eine Lösung. Ich kann den Vermieter wie auch das Mietobjekt allen mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen.
