PREPARED PRIVACY
Our studio is ideal for those seeking privacy and tranquility. Relax in your own resort-like suite without the crowds and hassle of hotels. Our sunny first-floor studio features high ceilings, a full kitchen and a cozy ambiance. During warmer months, enjoy a meal sitting under an umbrella in your private, fenced-in, porcelain tile patio. Couples, solo travelers, outdoor enthusiasts, LGBT and business travelers will find a home away from home. Free WiFi included!

ACCESS TO YOUR STUDIO
*Your first floor studio has no second floor above it, and no basement below it. There are no stairs. From the street where you park, it is a 100-foot walk along a concrete walkway to reach your studio.
*Your space is a completely private studio that is separate from the rest of our home. There is no access to your personal living quarters from the main part of our home. There is only one entrance to your studio through a walkway on the side of the house. The studio, which includes a fully equipped kitchen, large closet and private full bathroom, is in a secluded corner of the property, and the patio in front of the studio is for your personal use only.

SUSTAINABLE ECOFRIENDLY ACCOMODATIONS
Forty solar panels adorn our home's roofs, including some that can be viewed from the front of the property. All of our electrical appliances and outlets fully run from solar energy year-round. Excess kilowatt hours compiled during the summer months are utilized during cooler winter months.

We also encourage recycling and conservation of resources so that energy is not wasted.

POOL & GARDENS ACCESS
Guests who book from June 20 through September 5 may have access to our gardens, fish pond, cabana and saltwater in-ground pool for an additional fee of $25 per hour. Access to our gardens and pool will be only during times when your host is on the premises as our private grounds are monitored by your host. Therefore, enjoyment of our pool and gardens will be during days and times that are mutually agreeable between guest and host.

Parties are prohibited. Staying overnight guests are not permitted to invite their friends and family to our home and pool. However, other guests of your host might also enjoy our pool when you are poolside.

Glass bottles and containers and not permitted in the pool, and consumption of alcoholic beverages poolside is not permitted.

Entrance to our personal grounds is through a gate adjacent to your private patio. Once you leave your private patio, you are also likely to meet our dogs Abigail and Penelope, gentle, friendly golden retrievers. They are not permitted on your private patio.
Our private pool and gardens are behind locked gates, and your access, as such, is limited. You cannot plan your vacation around spending all your days poolside. That being said, a number of our guests have enjoyed spending time poolside. It's a matter of matching days and times that work for everyone!

HOST AVAILABILITY
I give my guests space but am available when needed. Just ask and let me know your needs.
Laundry service for your personal items is not available on the premises. There are several local laundromats and dry cleaners in the neighborhood.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Valley Stream is centrally located with a quaint village feel. Our center of town offers dozens of charming shops, restaurants and cafes that will quench your thirst for variety and novelty. Experience authentic Long Island, far away from tourist bubbles, yet only a few minutes from major highways and the Valley Stream Long Island Railroad Station.

Our Mediterranean Dream home sits along a tree-lined street in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Our tranquil community boasts neighbors from diverse backgrounds, many of whom are professionals from varied fields. Like a league of nations, our neighborhood is demographically and ethnically diverse. Children, adults and senior citizens frequently traverse the streets. Consequently, no matter where you're from, you'll feel like you belong in Valley Stream, and, as such, you'll experience travel as if you're a local, not a tourist.

There is plenty of free, safe parking in front of our home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Walk from your car directly onto the tree-lined path that leads to your private Mediterranean oasis.

Saltwater pool/ gardens optional for $25 per hour. Host must be on premises during access at mutually agreeable times / dates. Parties prohibited!

Great Host...Comfortable Stay
Everything about the location was as described and very nice. The personal touches with dog and travel pictures were nice and It was a good neighborhood for walking my dog. The host was easily accessible and responsive for any needs. I am still grappling with having fire tv rather than normal cable with easily accessible local channels. This is not specifically about this rental since my last 3 have been the same. Perhaps younger people are better at navigating this change.

Cozy and Cute
For only needing the property to sleep and shower, it was great. I thought the bed was comfortable and the place was clean. As a Type A Planner, I LOVED his little guest book. It was so helpful. We also checked out a few restaurants and bars around the property. I loved my stay and if we come back, we'll most likely use this property again!

Happy with the apartment
Guy is a very nice host, very accommodating and responsive. The apartment was clean and had all the essential items for a short stay. The location is very convenient close to the major highway. Nice neighborhood. All the amenities were in a working condition, the bed is comfortable. I would stay there again and would recommend.

The Sleeping Garden
I absolutely loved the space. The Host, Guy, was Johnny-on-the-spot. I picked the space knowing that the garden would be sleeping but it was a key factor in me choosing where to stay. The pricing is absolutely perfect for the space. Guy also has two amazing dogs that I just adored. Thank You Guy for your hospitality and the seeds.

My gardens and pond qualify my property as a certified wildlife habitat through the National Wildlife Federation. I advocate for our environment in my role as Conservation Chair of a local hiking club.
I love jazz, classical music and pop music. I appreciate live concerts and listening to relaxing music at home.

I enjoy traveling authentically, and I seek out locations that are far away from commercial zones. I want the same for my guests. No matter where you're from, our community will feel like home, and, as such, you'll experience travel as if you're a local-- having a productive business trip, but not always feeling like you’re away from home, or enjoying being a tourist but not feeling like one.

I was born on and grew up in Long Island. Purchasing a home in Valley Stream gave me access within an hour to world class beaches, bays, salt marshes, Manhattan and mountain hiking trails- all while being able to enjoy the suburban lifestyle.

We're 10 minutes from JFK Airport, 1 mile from the LI Railroad, a 30-minute train ride to Manhattan, 20 minutes to Jones Beach State Park, one mile from Belmont Racetrack and near parks, restaurants, museums and Resorts World Casino.
