Thank you, Scott! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and loved The Stone House—it’s definitely a local favorite. Happy to hear you had a great time overall, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime!
The house is in a great neighborhood in Reno. The house is comfortable inside. I think they could make sure the backyard patio is ready for use. What it shows in pictures is not what we received. I contacted the owner but no one was able to come over after 5 days of rental, at that point we had made other plans.

Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us. We’re glad you enjoyed the home and neighborhood, and we appreciate your comments about the patio. Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future.
The house is very cute. Our stay was very nice. I would recommend gutting the upstairs bathroom, it needs a complete update. Growing up in Iowa my parents built a house in 1956. The main bathroom was pink, just like this one. This house is beautiful other than this bathroom. I was disappointed mostly because I spent my first 18 years looking at a pink bathroom. The lawn here is meticulously maintained and the neighbors are friendly. It is close to everything. I would stay here again if I didn't have to look at the color pink? A lot of the neighbors park their vehicles on the street. We rented a larger vehicle that made it difficult to navigate in the through traffic lane. A small car would have helped. Congradulations on a well maintained home.

Such a beautiful home in lovely, quiet neighborhood. The house is older, with updates, but you can still feel the original charm. Kitchen had everything we needed, plus more. Amazing oven, clean fridge (no smells). Beds were comfortable and backyard was very welcoming with the little lights.

This is a great place to stay. It had everything we needed and we were glad to be "home" at the end of the day. Patrick was easy to reach and responded quickly. This home is in a quiet, attractive neighborhood; it is very clean and well-cared for. The house has been nicely updated and retains its original charm.

This home was perfect for my family’s visit to Reno. Beautiful home, spacious, great location, in a nice quiet neighborhood, not too far from downtown & dining locations. Beautiful backyard area for enjoying the amazing Reno weather. Home was very clean and had all the amenities needed. Communication with host was phenomenal. When we come back to Reno, we will surely book with them again.

We had an amazing stay! Started off with great communication with the owner and clear & home simple instructions. The house was as described and looked like the pics; very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and it's location was perfect for going to the casinos, restaurants, and shopping.Highly reccomend this house! We're already talking about booking it for another long weekend.

Thank you so much for the fantastic review, Brad! I’m thrilled to hear you had such a great stay and that everything, from communication to comfort, met your expectations. I really appreciate the recommendation, and I’d love to host you again in the future!
My husband and I and our son enjoyed staying at Old Southwest Gem. The owner, Patrick, was communicative and easy to reach when needed. Check-in was simple and the charming home was as advertised with a very nice bed/bath renovation in the basement and plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and had everything you could possibly need to cook any meal at home which we like to do sometimes. We were especially excited to discover a closet shelf of games and enjoyed a family game night while we were there. There were also lots of books and even exercise equipment (yoga mats, etc.). Staying here felt more like staying at a friend’s home! Patrick was not kidding when he said the neighborhood is very quiet…other than the garbage truck, I’m not sure we saw more than a handful of cars driving on the street over three days. It’s mostly residential nearby but I did walk to a coffee shop one afternoon when the weather was spectacular. All we were asked to do upon checkout was empty the garbage, start the dishwasher and lock up which was nice since we had to depart early in the morning. Would definitely rent again if the need arose!

Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re glad you enjoyed the home, amenities, and peaceful neighborhood. It was a pleasure hosting you, and you’re welcome back anytime.
The house is beautiful and comfortable and has everything you need. The backyard needed attention being early in the season, so was not the oasis we were expecting from the pics. We got check in info only after arriving and requesting it (instead of getting it with the address). Those were the reasons for a 4 rating.

Thank you Alena for your kind words about the home and for taking the time to leave feedback. We’re so glad you found the house comfortable and welcoming.
Regarding the backyard, we sincerely apologize — Reno experienced an unusually late winter this year (including a late April freeze and snowfall in Tahoe), which delayed our spring landscaping maintenance. We're already addressing this now that weather conditions have improved.
As for check-in, we appreciate you letting us know. Our standard check-in time is 4 PM, and we always try to accommodate early arrivals when possible, but it sounds like there was a communication gap that we’re working to improve. We truly appreciate your understanding and would love the opportunity to host you again under even better conditions!

The property was as advertised except for the fact that the bedding and furniture smelled very bad. There is sweet fabreze odor on all pillows and the main couch in the family room. It resulted in headaches for most of my family in addition to the obnoxious odor when trying to sleep. My greatest issue was when I asked the host to rectify this, they indicated that they’d work on it. I had proposed new sheets just so we could sleep there. When we returned from our Memorial Day basketball tournament, I found they had done nothing. The host then became non responsive. Just went dark. Absolutely horrible. I paid more than 1000/night for this home as it was a holiday rate. Simple fix - buy and change the sheets while we were out of the house. Nothing. We had to abandon the rental and rent a room a hotel in town. Horrible experience.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We appreciate your support and are glad we had the opportunity to host you. We hope you had a wonderful stay and would be delighted to welcome you back in the future.
