Escape to a vintage 2-bedroom cottage just steps to beautiful Lake Chetek, part of the 3800 acre Chetek Chain of Lakes in a quiet, relaxing retreat. Summer Paradise is perfect for fishing, boating, docking your boat, (kayak included), swimming at nearby beach or shopping in downtown Chetek! You can park your trailer for a boat or ATV on site. You can dock your boat or pontoon right from our dock to start your adventure, steps from the cottage. Fish on these lakes include, northern pike, crappie, walleye, large and small mouth bass and bluegill. Whether you’re here to relax, fish, or explore, this charming two-bedroom cottage is your perfect home base. It’s a very quiet and the only rental in the neighborhood. After a fun-packed day of boating, shopping, trail riding, or just relaxing, enjoy hanging out in your yard with a game of darts, corn hole or croquet! Only 1/2 mile from downtown, you can easily walk to downtown in 5 minutes for a fun day of shopping or a night out!

THE SPACE Step inside and experience a cozy, vintage atmosphere with a charming master bedroom with a king bed and large closet. Our reviewers love the comfy bed and rave about the cleanliness of the cottage. The second bedroom features a twin bed and full bed combo, perfect for adults or kids. A full sized pullout couch provides additional sleeping in the living room. There’s plenty of kitchen space to prepare a perfect meal with a new full sized stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, air fryer as well plenty of pots/pans and utensils. Dining room table has seating for 6 people. Outside you’ll find a fire pit, grill, and a patio table to enjoy the views and watch the stars. Play a few outdoor games, or just enjoy the serene atmosphere in the quiet yard.

LAKESIDE FUN Summer Paradise is ideal for water lovers-enjoy the minute walk to the dock, only shared with the owners. Enjoy the easy docking of your boat or just hangout to enjoy the ducks, loons, seagulls, or eagles soaring above! You can use a kayak or paddle board to get out on the water. Explore all 6 connecting lakes, water sports, fishing or just relaxing. Boat rentals are available just half a mile away at the local marina. For sun and sand, the beach is just a short distance away (.8miles) Chetek offers numerous activities including golf, ATV trails, stock car races, boat racing, flea markets and a multitude of downtown events! The nationally recognized Hydro Flights water ski show near the beach will amaze you and is free to the public every Sunday.

EXPLORE DOWNTOWN CHETEK Only minutes walking from downtown Chetek, you’re never far from fun local attractions. Treat yourself to delicious baked goods at the local bakery, indulge in ice cream, or explore the charming antique and boutique shops. With a variety of bars and restaurants, you’ll have plenty to explore right at your doorstep. There are several waterside restaurants to explore by boat or car as well as numerous local eateries, many with music or live bands. Nola was a wonderful host. The cottage is smaller than I expected but comfortable and cozy, nicely decorated and has very comfortable beds. It was also conveniently located for walks to downtown for shopping and to partake in some award-winning ice cream. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great little cabin!!

If you’re looking for a very nice quiet cabin this is the place. Had everything we needed, owners were very accommodating. Was able to dock our boat and was close to the cabin. Loved it!!

Cute little cottage on owners property. Had a wonderful stay, had everything we needed. Nola and Cal were wonderful. Cute little garden and flower beds were adorable. Nice seating outside. We had the best time.

Very cute little cottage located right on the hosts property. Set in right with other homes around it but a very quiet neighborhood. Had everything we needed. Hist were very friendly and very prompt if we needed anything. Beautiful yard with beautiful flowers. We were able to use their dock for fishing and relaxing which we walked through their yard to get to the dock. Location was great for hiking a few miles away. Overall nice place to stay.

Great week of remote work and family visits

The property was just as listed. Nola and Cal were excellent hosts and even brought me flashlights and dessert when the power went out!!! Chetek is a wonderful community with plenty of great restaurants and friendly people. I look forward to my next visit and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a cabin that is rustic and in a great location.

Cozy Cottage

When we arrived, we happened to be welcomed by Nola. She gave us helpful information about the property & let us go on our way. We were delighted by cottage's charm & instantly felt like we were *on vacation*! Our girls said it looked to be a cottage straight out of a story book! The outdoor space offered blooming flowers, beautiful garden beds and very welcoming outdoor space to relax.The bedrooms were very clean and suitable for a family of 4. The master bed was like sleeping on a firm cloud loved it! The bathroom is tiny but.... again, even that seemed to add a little something special to memories that were made. Location couldn't have been better, right on the water & 2 minutes walk from town. We would love to rent again. Thank you.

We are Wisconsin natives (and Packer fans) and love living in Chetek for half the year and Fort Myers the winter months! My husband, Cal and I enjoy hanging out with our kids, friends and grandchildren whether we are boating, golfing, or being physically active. My special love is growing and tending to my flower and veggie garden. If you come in the right season, you may even end up with some of my veggies! Both Cal and I love meeting and helping people enjoy our quaint, sweet setting. We are so excited to welcome you all as special quests of ours!

Why they chose this property

We are lucky enough to have an 1/2 acre lot nestled in a dead end street on beautiful Lake Chetek. In fact, the street actually ends at our house. On the acreage, Summar Paradise Cottage sits about 100’ from the main house, offering plenty of privacy and space with outdoor chairs, a patio table and a fire pit and grill. There are only a few houses in this neighborhood and everyone is friendly but quiet. You won’t hear any loud parties in this area! There are no other rentals in the neighborhood.

Our downtown is vibrant and has many places to explore! Just 5 minutes away via walking, you’ll run into a unique grocery store, where it sells everything from fishing lures to wine. You’ll find the history center, antique, clothing shops and handmade art as you explore the area. A new bakery just opened and quickly established itself as a favorite to have with your Caribou coffee. There are several yummy ice cream places and candy galore! Like wine? Stop in the new wine bar, complete with its own charcuterie menu. Restaurants and fun bars are also included in this quaint, cute downtown. There are a myriad of events going on in downtown Chetek. You will love it here- a place where you’ll feel comfortable and safe anytime of the day or night!

What makes this property unique

Summer Paradise Cottage sits in a pristine and beautiful setting. If you like a comfortable, relaxed stay near the waterfront, this cottage is for you. It has just enough vintage to make you feel like you stepped back in time, but still has everything you a would expect in a modern place. This is the only cottage we rent and will treat you as a treasured guest for your stay. If you enjoy fishing, there are several “hot spots” on Lake Chetek or the other 5 lakes. Just walk a minute away, and you’re off to enjoy the day on your boat. Perfect for families, you will have no worries about traffic or safety in the neighborhood. The yard is large and there is plenty of room for play. Out of town is an old-fashioned pioneer village within just a few miles away. The beach is just a few minutes away by car. If you’re a biker or runner, there are plenty of low-traffic streets overlooking a lake to enjoy. Girl’s trip? Shopping is just a few blocks away or if you want more, there’s always Rice Lake which is only 25 minute drive. And, of course, you can visit Leinenkugels! A brewery with tours as well as fun stuff to buy and beer to drink! Family friendly, everyone has to experience it at least once! There are also several fun eateries in and close to Chetek. Guys and gals alike will appreciate being so close to several golf courses in the area. Summer Paradise Cottage is situated in the perfect spot- far enough from people when you want peace and quiet and yet close to the action if that suits you!
