I liked the big house overall. The pool was cold, the weather was chilly, so the ocean was not swimmable without a wetsuit. The scenery was beautiful. The hot tub was nice. The gate guard was rude at check in, because I had my dog, and needed to fill out some paperwork.
Our family started a new a tradition of spending time once a year at Pajaro Dunes. House 33 was a great location and there were so many things to enjoy. Our four grandkids were able to walk to the beach and it seems like they can never get enough of the ocean. It's so beautiful. The house was very nice and very clean. We enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, the foosball and air hockey and the Jacuzzi. I could go on and on. Just a really great place and we had a really great time.
We all had a wonderful time. It was so nice to get up and the beach was right there. The house was supplied with towels and all the appliances you would need. The only thing we noticed was the dishwasher should probably be replaced and perhaps an actual Television in the Master room. We are looking to come back again next year. Highly recommend. The Host and Hostess were exceptional.

Refrigerator was broken when we arrived!
We called the office about the fridge, they said someone from maintenance would come, never saw him. Luckily there was a fridge 2 stories down from the kitchen! Pool isn’t heated and the hot tub was okay, but was full of sand. Otherwise it was a nice house and good location. All the houses at Pajaro Dunes are very weathered.
Nice house, Lovely View, A Large Variety of Problems
House location and state of bedrooms & bath are great. View was fantastic. A variety of problems kept us from enjoying all that we rented (pool needs thorough cleaning (chlorine powdered clumped, mysterious haze moves around pool, fishing lure in water), hot tub needs thorough cleaning (hair, scum, water clarity), refrigerator on level three stopped working twice meaning all foods had to be taken to level 1 refrigerator several times (three floors of stairs), refrigerator sprung a serious leak causing water to leak through level 3, 2, and 1, repair of refrigerator lasted an hour, many spots of mold and mildew in levels 1 & 2, water leaking through lighting level two. Bushes need to be cut back on level 1 so cart can be rolled into yard for unpacking. No propane tank for bbq. Had to go buy one. Housing association office not sure what to do. Property manager responded and sent people for quick fixes that didn't fix. Appreciated partial refund due to challenges.

Pros/cons
Pros:
- Lots of space! Kids love playing hide and seek.
- Very short walk to beach
- Great views from family room
- Endless supply of towels
- Every bathroom had soap and shampoo
- Hot tub was a big hit / pool was a plus some of us
- Lots of games and beach supplies
Cons:
- Lot of stairs with family room/kitchen on 3rd floor. Definitely was a lot for my 80 yr old parents, but good exercise.
- We chose the place because it had bathtubs for my kids, but no stoppers for the bathtubs.
- Sauna advertised but I couldn't get it to work. Not sure if I was doing something wrong but tried various ways to turn on but no luck.
- Pool was way too cold for my wife and daughter. I am used to cold plunges so it was okay for me but nothing longer than 10 minutes. Pool also decent amount of dirt, hair, bugs, etc. I didn't see a filter system but there was a lot of chlorine in it (strong smell and could see) so figure the chlorine killed all the germs.
- Kitchen: Had to turn on hot water from under sink, top oven didn't work (but it did have another oven), lacking in some regular kitchen supplies
I still gave 4 stars because my family had a great time with all the space, hot tub, closeness to the beach, games, and just handing out with grandparents for dinners and watching tv.
Enjoyed the house and location. Great view of water. Only suggestion is to replace the dishwasher soon. Still works, but the door is almost ready to fall off.
The weather was not our friend for our stay but still there were times when we could appreciate the beautiful views the house offers. The kitchen is well equipped and the great room is large but still cozy. The kids enjoyed the pool and the games downstairs. The bedrooms are large and the beds comfortable. Pajaro dunes offers a fantastic environment any time of year. Great walks on the beach! We enjoyed!

We booked this place last minute as our vacation had a change of plans -- we were lucky to find it! The beach access is fabulous and the views from the living room and balcony are hard to beat. The neighborhood and the house itself are a bit quirky, but we came for the beach, and it did not disappoint!
Really enjoyed our stay here. The rec area's are great. Short walk to the beach. The kid's loved the indoor pool. Plenty of towels provided. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time in this incredible home. The beach was gorgeous and very private. House is short walk to beach. Ideal!!
Just a few tips for future: no ice maker, spa didn’t work, very few staples, no foil, baggies, or saran wrap. I would have happily packed these items if I had known. Only found 1 bottle of shampoo.
No ice was disappointing and no ice cube trays to make your own. Fireplaces didn’t function.
Next time I rent I will ask more specific questions so I know what to pack and what features are unavailable.
We had a very nice weekend. House was well stocked with towels and bedding. Location was delightful and pool was awesome. The host were responsive to questions and very helpful. We will be back!
We had a lovely time and fun experience the kids will remember forever. House worked out well for my family with children ages 5-10. So close to the beach but the best feature was having our own pool in the house!!!
We booked this house with 10 friends for spring break. It was a really great house for the kids. The pool was fantastic and they were in it non stop. The pool water was a little green and had a pond smell but that didn’t stop them! The air hockey was also super fun. Super close walk to the gorgeous beach with lots of sand dollars! Few things we were wishing for: There were no wine glasses at all and not that many glasses. And there were not many towel hooks in the bathrooms and not enough by the pool. Overall, it was a great trip and we would definitely stay again!
The location was perfect and the neighborhood was beautiful with natural dunes surrounding the homes. We were a very short walk to the beach!! The house was large with plenty of comfortable bedrooms and nice bathrooms for everyone. The view from the top balcony was awesome. The kitchen and living space was also very nice and clean. We all had so much fun here. Great for families or 4 couples. Next time we visit I will definitely look at renting the house again.
This is a comfortable, spacious home located in an area of amazing natural beauty. Pajaro Dunes is a gated community right on the coastline, with gorgeous landscaping and access to a quiet beach area from the property. Many of the homes in the area have interesting architectural style. The indoor swimming pool is perfect for chilly coastal nights (and days!).
The kitchen was well-equipped, plenty of blankets and pillows, ample indoor and outdoor lounging space, various floaties and such for the pool. And an air hockey table!
To access the property, you park in one of two parking areas and then walk a short distance to the house on a wooden walkway. It's not far at all and carts are provided for moving luggage. Worth mentioning only for the benefit of elderly or disabled folks -- you can't park right at the house. All of the houses in this community are accessed this way.
We enjoyed our brief stay and would love to return in the future.

Needs a lot of basic work
Love the location/beach, the pool was really nice. It was a short walk to the beach and it wasn’t crowded at all, which is great for Social Distancing. The pool was wonderful to play in — but we didn’t realize that a heated pool was 85’ to them, when we figured out that we could ask for an increase in the temp to 92’, it was much much better!
The foos ball table and air hockey were also great fun. The beds were a bit soft but ok. And we loved the round table outside with the flame in the middle - it was great for making S’mores!
Not so good
— the cleaning staff (one woman) didn’t finish on time, which is ok but how was she supposed to do a thorough COVID-19 cleaning just by herself?? I didn’t see her drag out a bag of linen and things that the INTRO info said they did for Covid cleaning.
We were ready with our Lysol Wipes, so cleaned up right away.
— one of the twin beds had SAND in between the sheets!! Ewwww.
— a toilet seat lid was totally broken off but we just sat down carefully, not wanting a repairman to come in to fix it.
— toilet paper, soaps, towels etc. weren’t fully restocked so we had to get more from the office in day one!
— the dishwasher! It’s totally scaled and scummy looking throughout. We chose not to use it as who’d want to use dishes when it looks like a scum pit?!
— cooking ware and utensils and knives. The selection of pots and pans and knives was like deja vu from my college days! Knives weren’t sharp, barely cut anything and pots were a mashing of mismatched lids and also very scummy looking!
— kitchen is an “in progress” remodel with various tiles missing.
— NO coffee maker!
— pool, the design of the pool could be better. The bottom floor of the pool consists of little pebbles/not smooth. So the kids and adults were scratching even cutting their feet/toes on the rocks as they pushed off from the bottom. But they still played in the pool everyday.
— shower in the pool/game room was terrible. Backed up and turned into a flood after one shower!
Other than that, we totally enjoyed our first trip during Covid-19. It was great to get away safely. We were armed with Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer so we made due.
We would stay here again, but be better prepared with our own cookware and utensils and things.
We really enjoyed our stay at Pajaro Dunes. The house is ample and well located. The rental office staff was super friendly and helpful, letting us borrow a fire pit for a beach bonfire, and allowing us to check out a bit late.
Our trip to Pajaro Dunes was a family reunion - everyone loved it! The swimming pool kept the grandkids entertained between trips to the beach and we older folks loved walking on the beach. We’ll be back!
