This property was fantastic for our large family. It was very clean and the hosts were kind enough to provide little extras like soap, shampoo, kitchen sponges/dishwashing soap. It was great to not have to bring those things along. Some of the features listed were not working (jacuzzi tub) so it would have been nice to know that in advance. It is a three level house and the very top level got very warm. The AC didn’t work great up there but owners provided fans which made it bearable. The location was amazing and right across the road from a beautiful beach. It isn’t ideal for swimming but a lovely spot to sit and watch the sunsets.There were virtually no bugs outside which was AMAZING for the time of year we visited. Overall, a fantastic property and I would stay again.

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic stay at Shale Beach House during the holiday ski trip with friends and family. The chalet was much bigger than expected—spacious, well-equipped, and felt more like a real home than a cottage. Its location, just a five-minute drive to Blue Mountain Village, made it perfect for skiing and exploring. The hosts were accommodating, and the beautiful surroundings made it a true winter retreat. We loved unwinding in the hot tub after a day on the slopes, and the trail right behind the house was a great bonus. The creek running beside the house added to the peaceful winter atmosphere, making our stay even more special. With Georgian Bay just across the street, the views were stunning—I can’t wait to return in the summer for a different experience! Highly recommend the Shale Beach House and would definitely stay again!
