The host was super warm and welcoming and went out of the way to make the house feel Christmas-y for the kids. The house itself was great for two families (plus grandparents)--well laid out with enough space for all, well appointed and very cozy.

My family had a wonderful stay at The Lodge at Bear Rock. The property itself is just gorgeous. The bedrooms were comfortable and offered a place for everyone to have privacy. The open family area and kitchen space were warm and inviting. We enjoyed meals cooked in the well-appointed kitchen. Caitlynn was very helpful and accommodating whenever I reached out with any questions. Overall, it was just such a lovely home to enjoy and I wish we could have stayed longer.
This mountain house was absolutely perfect for our girls’ weekend! It’s tucked down a long private drive with the most amazing views — pictures don’t even do it justice. The house was super clean when we arrived and looked exactly like the photos. The layout was great for a group — each set of rooms upstairs is conjoined and has its own bathroom, so everyone had their own space. The king suite on the main floor had a bathroom right outside, and the basement had plenty of room too with another full bath. It worked out perfectly for our group of girls! The kitchen and main living room were beautiful and cozy — we loved hanging out there. The house came with nice towels, cosmetic cloths, and toiletries, which was such a nice touch.Pam was so sweet and helpful, answering all our questions right up until check-in.Overall, it was the perfect spot for our girls weekend getaway. The views, the space, the setup — everything was amazing. We were blown away by how beautiful it was and can’t wait to come back!

Reviewer Comments:
This is a great house, but the bedroom set up is a little odd. The master bedroom and the adjoining small bedroom are counted as 2 separate rooms, but they really aren’t. You have to keep that in mind when counting bedrooms. The view is exceptional, and there is quite a variety of seating. It is however, in the middle of nowhere, and there is no lighting or signage to help you find the house. The roads are very narrow and twisty. If you have to drive at night, make sure you have a designated driver! The driveway is in terrible shape, but I understand it is soon to be repaired.
