Everything is just as described and more. Great host. Came when the lake was dry, but then come rain and it filled up right as we were about to leave. But overall we have a great and comfortable stay.

This is a great place to go if you want to be in the SoCal mountains, and you don't want to be 'in the city'....it's not far from Arrowhead. It's quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. Lots of privacy in the way the house is laid out.

Beautiful home with all the comforts to make it cozy. The large kitchen and dining table made it easy to enjoy home cooked meals for everyone after a day of skiing. House easily accommodated ten of us for sleeping. It is a little bit outside big bear, so plan your time accordingly to get where you need to be. Host was responsive when we had questions.

We gave it a 10 out of 10 and great location. We’ve stayed at several incredible properties from Arrowhead to Big Bear and this one just topped them all. Located right on Arrowbear Lake you couldn’t ask for a better view. Huge upstairs living space is perfect for family gathering. Large kitchen equipped with everything needed for all meals. Downstairs media room is like a whole other rental in itself. Set up with large TV, 3 stand up video games for kids, and much more. Jeff was very responsive with any questions we had throughout the trip. We would definitely return and highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to the area.

Nice home but cleanliness was lacking

Nice home but was not the right time of year to visit. The house was warm and the seasonal private lake was empty. There were ants all over the counters that wouldnt go away i even had ants crawling on my arm when i was cooking so i didnt feel comfortable cooking in there anymore ,we had to eat out. The pantry, refrigerator and floor were dirty. There was cob webs in the home and patio, when we went to get a game from the bookshelf it was covered with cob webs and dust. Patio was also dirty and the Adirondack chairs had sticky liquid on the arms. It just was not as clean as it should have been. It was disappointing.

I am not sure if you stayed at this same property. In the years that I have owned the property I have never seen a single ant or other, probably because we regularly take preventative steps like spraying and traps. Yes, the lake is fed by rain and snow runoff, this area is at over 6000ft elevation and subject to seasonal weather more than most but each season has it's own beauty and you just happened to visit in mid July during a drought period. The house is professionally cleaned and inspected, once again I am not sure what you are referring to as far as a dusty shelving.

The property was wonderful! We enjoyed Arrow bear lake nightly, even taking out the kayaks provided. We cooked nightly in the well equipped kitchen, eating together at the big dining room table overlooking the lake. We had a great visit and would definitely recommend this place :)
