The Iris in Midtown was an overall great place to stay for our large family who was in town for a college graduation. The furniture, appliances, and decor were very nicely done, giving a fun vibe! It is located in a nice neighborhood and was very convenient to restaurants, downtown, and the convention center. Check in/check out instructions were well communicated by our host, and everything we needed was available along with some nice extras. I would highly recommend the Iris and will seek it out again when visiting Memphis!

Perfect location for my family and I. The home was in pristine condition, very clean rooms and bathrooms. The home was very cute and cozy, perfect size for my family of seven. Mitchel was an excellent host and responded to all my questions in a timely manner. My family and I will not hesitate to book here again while visiting Memphis.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was spacious for our little group on the inside and outside. The decor is top tier, loved the themed rooms and uniqueness of the place. The porch swing was peaceful, and the neighbors are so friendly ! This property is honestly the best I've rented in Memphis to date. Oh and shout out to our host Mitchel for being SO kind and answering our questions almost immediately! We'll be back for sure !

Great Location & Atmosphere

My group contained 8. The house had more than enough room to accommodate us. It was very clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. The location was very close to downtown memphis. Ubers were under 10. Lots to do around. Host was responsive and nice. Will stay here again!

My family and I stayed at the Iris while we were moving into our new home nearby. I arrived first and was impressed by what I saw. My family jokes that I’m not always great at picking the best places to stay on our vacations. However, this time, when they arrived, everyone smiled, and one of my children even asked if we could just buy this house. Beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and my wife loved the main bathroom. The kitchen was lovely and had every convenience we could imagine needing. After working to unpack boxes and things like that at our new home we were able to walk back for a lovely evening, relaxing, and watching some TV. We highly recommend staying at The Iris. I’m not sure we will ever need a VRBO just a block and a half from our home again, but we can certainly recommend it to others and reserve for family overflow when visiting.

Check-in was a breeze, the bed was comfortable, there were many different sitting areas, and the place was spacious for our group of three. We also really liked the location, which was close to grocery stores and restaurants, and the host was was responsive. He was kind enough to allow a late check out, and the check-out instructions were reasonable. There were only two drawbacks—there were very dirty eating utencils in the drawer (literally you could see big chunks of dried food on it), and when we tried to wash it, the black paint wiped off onto the dish towel. When we let the host know, he apologized and said he didn't blame us for it. There was no offer to have replacement or disposable utencils sent, nor to refund the cost to buy our own (which we did). In addition, there is a lot of messaging pressuring visitors to give a five-star rating, (including an odd rating scale magnet on the fridge, which seemed very off). My entire group found this very off putting. I think it's important that those who are looking to book a place have a clear sense of expectations and these efforts discourage that from happening. Aside from those two things, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to stay here.
