The apartment is in a great location, was comfortable, and check in was very easy. The King size bed was really comfortable and the Queen was great for our kids. An excellent space for a family. Our only important note that isn’t in the listing is that there are no utensils, plates, or real cups in the unit. There’s only one very small sink in the bathroom so the kitchen really isn’t a functioning kitchen. It was fine with us but should be noted in the description.
Location was great. Know that this is really a one bedroom apartment but the living room had been turned into a bedroom. It works out ok for us because it was only me and my girls but if it was 2 couples could be akward you have to go through the second bedroom to get to the bathroom. King bed in first room very comfortable the queen size is very UNCOMFORTABLE and is on wheels so moves everyone you roll over. Location was GREAT!! Loved the old charm of the place and it was pretty quiet at night so that’s a great plus.

Great location!! The bathroom was very tiny the king bed was comfortable and the queen bed was very uncomfortable. Loved the Jane Doe bar next door.
Great location. Comfortable environment. Fitness center was an added bonus but needed a cleaning. Could use one more hand towel at the apartment and communication from host could have been more timely. I would stay there again. Jane Doe restaurant/bar next door had a great happy hour and fun vibe.

Pros: location was great. Next to Bryant Park, so very close to a subway station. Price per night was excellent.
Neutral: building itself was somewhat old. The elevator was one of the smallest I've seen before. If you're going up with luggage, it will barely fit 2 people and 2 suitcases. Rooms felt smaller in person than in the photos but that's fine.
Con: there's no front desk to speak of. You have to communicate with the host thru private messages only. Turn around time for a response is variable.
The worst was the bathroom drain was lowkey clogged and didn't drain properly. A guy taking a 5 min shower, expect the water to rise up past your ankles by the end.
Couldn’t ask for a better location!! Super cool historic building and great apartment. Very comfortable beds and comfy space. Nice common area/library in the lobby. Great bar and restaurant attached to lobby as well. Would stay again for sure!
The apartment was small, but was as advertised and worked for my family of 4. It's a good location for your first time in NYC and is close to transportation.

No hot water! Reported it to the host and no response even though there was 24/7 maintenance Had to find another hotel and move. Extremely disappointed
Everything was wonderful. Great apartment, spacious rooms, perfect location, very clean, and owner communicated well. If I ever come back to New York, Id want to stay here again. Highly recommend.
Great location, clean apartment. Concerns noted in June reviews have been fixed by host. There is a great coffee shop nearby so we did not mind not having a coffee maker.

More host interaction would have been helpful. I had to teach out to him to get info on how to enter the apartment. Needed more bath towels. We were 5 but only 4 towels were provided with 1 handtowel and zero wash cloths. I was told that there was a coffee maker but it was only a hot water pot. No coffee cups, no stirrers or spoons. The couch needs immediate replacement. It was very old and very uncomfortable to sit on.

Not enough towels, bedding, for our family. No reply from the host. The lights in the unit went off, we had to go find the building manager to get them back on. No reply from the host. No dishes or even coffee cups in the unit - having a kitchenette is great, but if there are no dishes, it's kinda useless. Besides that, the unit was cute and comfortable, and the host did communicate well before we get got there.
Great Location - secure historic building- the king bed in the living room is sooooo very comfortable— the futon / sofa bed is not comfortable—-& the kitchenette is very limited, no coffee pot & no utensils . The Shower has Great water pressure & good hot water. A bit of an issue with the bathroom sink - the faucet is broken & the sink does not drain well.

Unit is located in a good location, easy access to Time Square, Theater District and Bryant Park. This is really just 2 bedrooms connect with a single VERY small bathroom only accessible from the one bedroom. Pro: King Bed was comfortable. Decent value for what you get. Linens clean. Cons: Communication is not great from the host. We checked in and realized that although the listing pictured and listed AC units, no units where there. It took the host hours to respond. He finally did and install one of the 2 units. Said he would come back the next day to install the other, but never did. We made do. Other: The lighting is tough! All dim lit, yellow tone lights. They could really use more brighter lights. Trying to put make up on was difficult. I had to sit in the window to get enough light to see well. The window coverings are broken, cheap white mini blinds. They should really replace and add some kind of black out. The bathroom is tough. It's only accessible from the second bedroom. There is less than 2 feet from the shower to the wall and the sink is just enough to wash your hands. Like others stated, the tub backs immediately making it a yucky feeling to shower. And the toilet, made for a toddler. The unit just needs a refresh. Paint the closet doors so they match. Update the lighting and blinds. Deal with the clogging bath tub. Maybe add another mirror to the desk so that space can be used as a vanity especially if the bathroom is in use.
