About this property

Fantastic Views, Maggie Valley, Sleeps 6, 3 Baths

Gracie's Mountain Cabin is a beautifully decorated two-story log sided cabin high in the Smoky Mountains. Located less than 2 miles from SoCo Rd. (hwy 19) in Maggie Valley. Surrounded by woods, this cabin offers plenty of serenity and privacy (though you may spy and elk or two wandering in the area!)

We highly recommend AWD or four wheel drive vehicles in the winter months, as weather in the mountains is unpredictable and the driveway is steep. There is no driveway cleaning service such as snow plowing/salting. The road leading to the driveway is approximately 1/4 mile of hard packed dirt/gravel. The driveway is paved, but because of the steep incline, not motorcycle friendly.

The main floor has a master suite, with a queen bed, television and a full bathroom with tub/shower combo. The third bedroom has a second queen bed,a flat screen TV and is next to the main hallway full bathroom with tub/shower combo. The second story is a sleeping loft which features a king bed with attached bathroom, including a walk-in shower.

Savor your morning coffee by simply relaxing in the sunshine on the sundeck or relax in rocking chairs on the covered wrap around porch and enjoy the view from the 3500 foot elevation. With higher elevation comes a cooler temperature, so open the windows and enjoy the sounds of the rushing creek below.

Gracie's Mountain Cabin has all the comforts of home- Wi-Fi, central heating & air, a beautiful gas fireplace with a stone surround and three HDTVs with satellite service. Open concept and plenty of sunlight. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the utensils and equipment needed to cook or grill outside for delicious meals. We supply all the towels and linens for your comfort.

Gracie's Mountain Cabin is a quick drive to all that Maggie Valley has to offer; great restaurants, shopping, several golf courses, skiing, snow tubing, museums, and festival grounds. You can visit the Maggie Valley to find a complete listing of upcoming festivals as you prepare for your visit.

You are only minutes away from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The Cherokee Indian reservation is just a short drive over the mountain, with Harrah's Casino. Unto these Hills, Santa Land, shopping, fishing, museums and more. A longer 45 minute drive can satisfy thrill seekers with white water rafting down the Natahala River or for a more relaxed outing, you can head into Asheville to enjoy The Grove Park Inn and The Biltmore Estate.

Whatever you plans are, Gracie's Mountain Cabin is the perfect spot to lay your head.

Smoky Mountains Experience in Maggie Valley
What an amazing view from the front porch! We stayed in this comfortable and cozy mountainside cabin for nine nights where we witnessed fall takeover the valley. On one of our days, we drove through the Great Smoky Mountains to take in the brilliant fall hues...our first Elk sighting came at the end of that drive, when we saw a small herd grazing near the Oconaluftee Visitor Center. On another day, we drove up to Mt. Mitchell to observe the spectacular views in all directions. We also rode the Great Smoky RR to the Nantahala Gorge on a warm, late October Sunday. There are several nice places in Maggie Valley to have breakfast, or to eat dinner. We already know that we would like to visit Maggie Valley and surroundings in another season. Gracie's Place is a 5+ cabin.

Most beautiful cabin! Secluded, wonderful mountain view.
Secluded, wonderful mountain view. not just to look at but we were up in the mountains. Our son walked up the mountain behind the cabin one morning and encountered a Bull Elk ,2 cows and 3 calves (Elk babies) . We heard them bugeling as we left Friday morning .I guess they were telling us "BY".This awesome home (cabin all wood) was absolutey amazing . All wood with beautiful "God made " designs. It was spotless ,a beautiful wrap around porch with rocking chairs, benches and deck, with table ,chairs, grill . A beautiful propane heater tower with crystals and rocks. LOL I dont want to say too much because we are renting this beautiful mountain home again next year. Not too far from Maggie Valley. Lord willing we will be back for sure Fall 2024.

Beautiful view!
This was a very nice property with an unmatched view. It is very cozy, and every bedroom has its own tv, which we appreciated. The road, which is very steep and gravel, meets the driveway at a difficult angle to maneuver. Unfortunately, when it rains, a part of the road closest to the driveway sort of washes out. The fire table on the porch was a nice touch, as was the bottle of wine left for us. Be prepared to tote your trash to a trash center some miles away when you leave. This was inconvenient, and we feel shouldn’t be expected of guests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but would recommend you take a truck as we did so your car doesn’t bottom out going from the gravel road to the driveway.

Great Cabin
Beautiful cabin. Great area, not far from everything. Very quiet and peaceful. The view from the deck was amazing. We fished the entire time and the location was perfect. The owners responded quickly with any question we had. The drive way can be a little tricky but not a real issue. Would definitely stay again.

About the host

My husband, Jim and I have been thinking of owning a home in the mountains for some time. In November 2016, we found our dream mountain home - Gracie's Mountain Cabin.
We have enjoyed the atmosphere of the inside of our home and the peaceful surroundings outside. It is a special time when we are seating on our porch, enjoying the mountain views, listening to the sounds of the birds, the stream below and the occasional elk.

Why they chose this property

The home is tastefully decorated and very well maintained. Everything that you need is at your disposable. The home has central air and a gas fireplace. Ceiling fans, flat screen televisions, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor gas grill and a washer/dryer are just a few of the nice touches that this home offers.

What makes this property unique

Beautiful mountain views and sounds of a stream below.
