Really great staff available via SMS throughout the stay!
Wonderful home, great for 10 people to all get real and comfortable beds. Well located just minutes from town and the beach. Floor boards are a little creaky and can be heard downstairs as people walk around upstairs, but not a deal breaker. Sarah and the Nestled Pines team were available via SMS throughout our stay and had contacted us several days beforehand to make sure we were good to go. Would definitely rent from them at other properties in the future!

Big house, good for entertaining and a large family
My brother and I rented this house for our two families because we were in Tahoe celebrating my parents 50th Anniversary. The house was big, plenty of room. Nice kitchen with updated appliances. The couches in the upstairs main living room need to be replaced. Hot tub needs some maintenance (some of the Jets worked but not everything). All in all the house was a good placed to stay, comfortable, and suitable for big families.

The property was even better than the pictures! It was spacious, clean, and cozy!
I organized a surprise birthday weekend for my boyfriend and all of his friends. The management group Invited Home was very helpful throughout the stay. They even decorated for my boyfriends birthday and left a bottle of wine to celebrate with. The house was very spacious and the games including the pool table were awesome. The hot tub was a nice touch however one side of the tubs jets did not work and a few knobs were missing (that did not effect our fun however!). The only thing I wish the house would have had are extra blankets. The evenings in the main living room were a little chilly and it would have been nice to snuggle with a blanket. Thanks for a great time!

Nice home but disappointing
The bathroom floors, carpets & counters were not clean.... Although the neighborhood was nice & home. There were very few plates, glasses, pots & utensils. Also as we used the Propane BBQ- we smelled a leak & thankfully my husband shut off the valve!
The hot tub was nice however the cover was bent, heavy & difficult to lift off.
I feel with all these ‘unfortunate things’ & the High price of the property we definitely would not score it more than a 2 1/2 stars. As a reference, we live in the Reno, Sparks area & have stayed in various rentals near the lake this was a disappointment.... I would not recommend this property 😞

Hi Anna,
We are so sorry for a less than 5 star experience. We have taken your feedback seriously and have made upgrades right after your departure. The hot tub cover was replaced and the kitchen has been restocked with new supplies & reorganized. Additionally, new bath mats have been added to the bathrooms and the patio chairs have been changed. Again, we are very sorry for the headaches caused and hope you will give us another chance. Thank you!
Hot House in the Summer.. Noise restrictions too much for vacation!!!
Great location. The noise travels even when you're hanging inside and there is apparently a fine for noise anytime not just after 10pm of $1,000. Got a text to be quiet from management when we were inside playing foosball. Seems a little excessive when you are inside but have to have the windows open for the heat that they would send you a noise text. And we literally weren't that loud or stayed up past 9pm because we were tired. Also/ there is no central air conditioning which may not be a problem in the fall or winter, but in the summer when it's HOT we were literally sleeping with fans blowing directly on us. Also, we couldn't keep the windows open all night for a breeze because of the fires and the smoke/air quality level. Asked for updates on this before we arrived and was told they would not call us we needed to call them which we did. Again, for the summer months, probably won't stay here again although it was a very nice house with lots to do and good location.

Hi Tonya,
Thank you for your feedback about your stay. Like most homes in the Tahoe area, this home does not have AC and therefore, it is not advertised on the listing.
The city of South Lake Tahoe has very strict regulations on vacation homes and noise is a big one. They fine both the guest and host if any complaint is made from nearby neighbors so we sent out a text just to make sure that noise level and curfew was abided.
Thank you!

Overall we were very pleased with the location and would strongly consider returning.
We stay for a week and loved the view of the patio. The living room has a good, working gas chimney that kept the living room warm. The main television offers DirecTV, Netflix, among other alternatives that helped make our nights delightful. The sofa is spacious but not very comfortable as it is made of leather and not fabric. Also, the seats separate over time, causing people to dip between sectionals and losing the things in their pockets. Unfortunately it is not as comfortable as the photo seems and the recliner is not fully functional, though like I said it is in fact spacious and can seat many people at once.
The dining table is also spacious and good for family style dinners, but the plastic cover on top of it is overused, bent and wobbly. You can't really place your drinks on sections of the table because of the lop-sided, weathered plastic cover. At one point or another every person in our party spilled a glass or two because of that cover. It should be replaced asap or removed entirely.
The kitchen is spacious with a good amount of pots and pans. It would have been nice to have enough dishwasher detergent to clean the pots, pans, silverware, etc. Also a few kitchen towels.
The master bedroom is large and comfortable as well as all the other 3 rooms. We have no complaints on the rooms as they were all very nice, warm, well lit, and comfortable. The first night it snowed a lot and someone came to clean the driveway the next day in the morning, which was a great relief.
Overall we were very pleased with the location and would strongly consider returning in the event we visited Lake Tahoe again.

The home was clean cozy close to everything. Absolutely would like to come and stay again.
We loved our stay here. The beds were so comfortable. Living room was cozy and inviting. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I have been renting in Lake Tahoe every winter for the past 20 yrs. We definitely want to come back to this Home again.
Notes for new guests:
-If you want extra blankets to cuddle in on the couch bring your own, there was only one extra throw blanket on the couch, not that you will need extra blankets the beds have cozy comforters and the house stays super warm thanks to the gas fireplace and excellent working heater.
-There was more than enough hot water every morning for our group of 10
-check the hot tub when you get there to make sure it gets hot, we found out too late at 7pm at night on our last night there that it only got luke warm, and we didn’t want to bother with calling the management company to come and fix.
-also the downstairs gas fireplace didn’t turn on, but again the last thing I wanted to do was bother with getting the management company out there to turn it on. But I am POSTIVE they would have came out. And fixed anything that was wrong.
-bring your own spices and other condiments. They don’t have very many, I left Some garlic salt but they didn’t even have pepper.
-bring extra kitchen towels if your group is going to be cooking a lot, they only provided two and definitely bring paper towels and napkins. Also bring cups they did not have alot of glassware.
-more than enough plates, forks, spoons, knives for cutting
- more than enough dish detergent for dishwasher
- they also have detergent for washer
-cooking ware is EXCELLENT, not like some rentals where the pans and pots are all beat up.
-very very Clean
-close to EVERYTHING but secluded enough to Enjoy a wonderful view of trees and snow from the porch, Safeway is 3 miles away, Emerald Bay is 8 Miles, Heavenly about 10 Minutes.
-beds are super comfortable even the bunk beds. Master bedroom is huge and roomy.
-pool table and foosball table are in super good condition
-large kitchen table with seating for 8 and extra side table to sit 4 more, we all got to sit and enjoy our meals together and play games

Thank you for your review! We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed our home and it sounds like you had an incredible stay. We would love to have you back!
This is a huge home with lots of light, very elegant, open, and upscale. A little chilly vs. cozy.
However, a generally hostile environment. Everything we asked for from the management company they immediately said no to, no interest in truly hosting us or making us feel at home. Couches were covered with those weird pads that movers use for protecting furniture, like, "Don't actually use these couches. They're for show."
They gave us 4 rolls of toilet paper for 6 people for 4 days, and when we asked for more, they gave us 4 more rolls with a terse little note saying that based on the number of people we *said* we were bringing (implication: we were lying) this is all we should need. So we had to buy our own, plus paper towels etc.
Both ice and filtering on fridge needed maintenance, showing red lights. Hostile signs all over the property threatening us with fines if we were loud, or in the hot tub late, or this or that.
Accordingly though, neighborhood was dead silent throughout our stay. For a couple or individual this would be nice. But this is a very big house, so people who rent it are likely to want to be social or bring a big group. I was constantly shushing our teens even indoors, out of fear of being fined.
Small thing that added up: loud landline in the house rang often and scared the crap out of us each time.
On the plus side, huge fun beautiful meadow nearby for playing in the snow.
Note that you'll want to bring chains. These are side roads and snow did not get cleared, nor salted so driving on them in their icy state was scary. (Snow was unexpected and we left our chains at home.)
10 or so minute drive to lots of amenities. Beautiful house, neighborhood, and street. Just stressful and frosty, pun intended.
My family and I enjoyed this house so much! It’s beautiful inside and so large and has so many great things in it. Mattresses weren’t too comfortable but other then that it’s a wonderful place to stay. We will be staying there again.

Nice House, Strict rules.
Not necessarily the property Management's fault here, but there were lots of warnings of fines for everything. Do the trash wrong, fine. Talk a little too loud after 10pm, fine. Use the hot tub after 10pm, fine. Park too many cars, fine. Luckily, we managed to avoid any fines, but I must say it doesn't exactly make for the most comfortable or relaxing stay. There were a few things that added to the anxiety that were directly related to the management though. The check in and out process is extremely rigid. My friends had to wait outside for 10 minutes because the keypad on the door is designed to update at the EXACT time of check-in. The cleaners were gone, the house was empty and ready, but still we had to wait for the robot door to let us in. We even called the management company and they basically told us too bad, you'll just have to wait. Actually, most of the conversations with the management company were pretty robotic and impersonal. (Lots of scripted responses.) On top of that the roof had a 10" thick sheet of ice ready to crash down onto the hot tub at any moment, and the deck/grill was completely unusable as the snow had never been cleared. (Mind you it hadn't snowed in Tahoe for almost a month when we went. Even their glass patio table had about 2' of ice on it.)
Anyway, nice house, but issues with the management of the property. Oh, and bring your own hot tub towels/robes. The house only provides bath towels.
While we enjoyed the house, we had a few issues. First, the garage is very small and shallow. We arrived with two vehicles (a truck and a large SUV), but both vehicles could not fit in the two car garage. Due to the length of the vehicles, it was extremely challenging to park a single vehicle in the garage - no way we were getting two vehicles in the garage. Second, the dryer did not work the entire time we were there. We called the rental company who sent someone out, but parts had to be ordered. On a positive note, the rental company offered to come by and dry our wet ski clothes, but they couldn't return them before we needed to leave for skiing the next morning so we passed on the generous offer. Third, the hot tub was set to 85 degrees, which was not ideal. We turned up the temperature, but we were unable to use the hot tub after our first day of skiing. Last, some of the rails on the pool table are broken - the balls would not bounce off the rails.
we love every bit of time in this vacation because of the great property, only missed the shampoo and soap in bathrooms.

Thank you for reviewing your stay at our Nestled Pines Retreat, Hitesh! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the property and vacation overall. While the home is stocked with a started set of consumables, we recommend guests bring or purchase additional hygiene products as needed. We hope to host you again in the future!
Property was very functional, clean, well kept. Culinary supplies more than adequate for meal prep and serving. Thanks for having the coffee there as we didn’t get to store before arriving so was great to have that wonderful cup of joe on the deck first morning. Neighborhood is quiet and serene. Thanks.

dirty, green water in hottub, kitchen items sparse and aging
This property has potential...but it was dirty when we arrived, the water in the hot tub was green, the kitchen utensils are sparse and old.....the handle of a fry pan fell off, the tongs were broken, only 2 dish towels in the entire kitchen, no pot holders, and many other things that did not work well. In addition, the towel situation was ridiculous......one small towel set on each bed..
This house was the perfect fit for our family. It was very clean and well cared for. Plenty of room in dining and kitchen area for cooking and sharing meals as a family. Lots of seating in the family room for everyone to be comfortable. The location of this home was conventient to was close to most activities.
We did have a problem with the smoke alarm system but was able to get help from the Grand Welcome staff and they sent someone out to fix and also did a few other small repairs while there.
One complaint we had was the kitchen lacked hot pads, dish towels, and cleaning supplies and could not find broom for cleaning off the patio which was a mess because of pine pollen.
We would highly recommend this property!!
The property is very very well maintained and clean and
It's even better than the pictures.
The place is spacious and packed with everything you need to have a great time.
We really enjoyed it!
Great property - nicer than the pics online. Location was great, house is nicely set up for family time, barbecuing, enjoying dinner outside. The family had a great time.
There were a few things, hot tub had sand in it, there was some dirty dishes and a damaged pool stick that unfortunately hurt someone. But other than that it was a great location plenty of room for the family and very welcoming atmosphere.
I already told management but the place was a mess with grease on the kitchen walls/ceiling, BBQ caught fire (not clean) screens broken, plumbing in shower not working, trash receptacle a mess, jacuzzi uncomfortable. Manager wanted me to clean the BBQ. Complained about not having enough staff while fully charging me full rate. I did ask for credit but they only gave me a small amount back for the discomfort of not knowing if this place was Covid clean!

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your feedback. We enjoyed hosting you during these trying times. For future guest knowledge: all reported maintenance such as the screens, trash and plumbing were fixed by our maintenance team within 24 hours of their arrival. We encourage all guests to report any issues so that we are allowed a chance to fix them so thank you for doing so. This home is cleaned per the CDC recommended guidelines which unfortunately does not include walls but the area has since been thoroughly cleaned. The BBQ has since been deep cleaned and the grizzle underneath the grates no longer creates high flames. A credit has been issued for the issues and each item has been taken care of. Thank you again for booking and you are welcome back anytime!
