The North Becket Village historic district has 47 buildings, 35 of which contributed to its architectural and historic legacy. This home pre dates all of them. This home originates in the early national period of New England history - from the original settlement in 1765 - 1804, 38 years before the arrival of a railroad. The Federalist construction reflects this history and the present owners have lovingly restored many of the home's details. Walking the nature path on the property, one can see the landscape as it was before a shift in population in 1842 changed Industry, commerce, social, educational and religious activity clustered in the village. Today, you can experience farm to table dining at the Neon Newt. Experience local music, lasting connections, forged friendships across the street at the Route 8 Pub. Winter sports, including cross country ski trails at Canterbury Farm.
