A great beach getaway!

My family and I had a great time staying at this home. The location is amazing! It’s just a quick walk to Scarborough beach. The house is very comfortable and we felt instantly relaxed. Plenty of space for a family of 4. Some negatives though would be the master bathroom upstairs. It was pretty small and the ceiling was also low. Another issue was the cleanliness in the kitchen. The toaster and stove had food debris. The floor had crumbs. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay!

Great Vacation Rental

We couldn't have asked for a better house for the week this past fourth of July! This 5 bedroom charmer surpassed our expectations. There were 5 couples and each one was very pleased with their rooms. Having comfortable, queen and king beds to sleep in when you're on vacation makes a world of difference, as opposed to having a twin bed, as several of the other rentals offer. The 2 second floor king bedrooms proved very family friendly, with plenty of room for cribs and noise from downstairs was a non-issue. The kitchen was very well supplied with cookware, plates, utensils, tupperware, really anything you need for cooking. The back yard and patio got lots of use, great for games and for the kids to run around. It was an easy walk to the beach as well. All around it was a great stay. We look forward to coming back again next year!

This property is as advertised. Five bedrooms with big beds made it easy to host multiple couples and friends, allowing each their own space. Nearby beach with closer lot was awesome!! Carl is an attentive host.

Home Sweet Home

Our first family vacation was a success! The property is gorgeous with a great fenced in back yard perfect for the toddler and tween, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the house had everything you need and the beach and park are a short walk away. From the minute we got there it felt like home. Made plenty of memories with cooking out on the grill outside, playing games on a rainy night and having everything we needed to make great family meals. We thought it would be stressful with a tween, a toddler and a baby but this house was PERFECT! Absolutely can not wait to stay again :D

Well kept and appointed home with more than enough room for 6 adults and two little ones. Outdoor shower is exceptionally roomy and in good condition, as is the huge fenced in yard. Other pluses include a large outdoor clothes rack and all kinds of beach gear in a shed that still has room to store whatever you brought along. Carl Marchand is a delight to work with also!

Great house, beautiful beach!

The house is laid out very well for big groups. The bedrooms are all very big, spread out and the beds are super comfortable. We had 4 babies there at one point and we had no problems fitting the pack and plays in the bedrooms with still ample space to walk around. Kitchen was well appointed, had everything you need. House was clean overall except the baseboards could use a good wipe, especially in the bathrooms. A/Cs in every room worked great and kept the whole house nice and cool without issue. The fenced in backyard provided privacy for us and safety for the kids. We were able to just let them run around while we grilled. The grill could be bigger, but having 2 picnic tables was great for our large group. Another great feature was the large driveway and ample parking space. We were able to fit 5-6 cars no problem. There is a shed with lots of beach equipment and games which was a nice touch. The beach is not close enough to walk if you have more than just a beach towel to carry, BUT the parking spots are a 30 second drive away in a private lot across the street from beach. Very very convenient!!! Scarborough beach is beautiful, clean and great for kids. Sand is very soft and the beach is wide so they can just run. Our week was amazing and we loved this property!! Next time we vacation in RI, we will definitely be staying here again!! It seems like they have thought of everything to make this truly a great rental property. The property manager was very helpful and responsive. Thank you for everything Carl!!

A great time in Narragansett

The house was exactly as presented and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect setup. Carl and Ben were awesome and very responsive to our needs. They made our vacation a great time and I would rent from them again in a heartbeat! Thank you for making our vacation exactly what we hoped for!

This property is awesome! It was big enough to fit my large family and it has everything you need. The beach is just 1/2 mile from the house and if you don't want to walk they provide parking passes steps from the beach. The fenced in yard was perfect for the little ones. Best Beach House we have stayed at in Narragansett

I have vacationed in Narragansett for 10 years now and for the last 2 years I have stayed at this house. The house is beautiful inside and out. The setup inside the house works great for our family. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs and 2 upstairs. There is Air Conditioning throughout the house. The owner has everything you need to make you stay as easy as possible. They also added a Keriug Coffee this year which was nice. The house has a large fenced in back yard which is great for us because we have small children. The best part is the owner has a lot very close to the beach where you can park your cars for free and walk across the street to the beach. It's very nice because the town beach charges $20 a day to park there. The owner is very friendly and easy to deal with. We will be staying again next year!!

Fantastic Rental!

We had an amazing vacation this year! Not only is the property itself well laid out and clean but the owners Carl and Betsy could not be nicer people! We have been to Narragansett many times and rented several different houses but we have found our home away from home! With the added convenience of parking by the beach our trecks to the beach were a breeze! Especially because we have small children. The yard was large enough for the kids to run and play and having the property fenced in made it safe as well. We can't wait for next year!!

Enjoyable Family Friendly Home

We'll start off by commenting how easy and pleasant it was to deal the owners of this property. Requests for information were answered quickly in a friendly manner. The home itself is exactly as advertised. The rooms were nice. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. There were 13 of us the first few days and we were never crowded. The Grandchildren aged 2-7 enjoyed the spacious back yard. There was wiffle ball and some football being played and even the adults took a few swings. The fenced back yard kept them contained and the parents and grandparents worry free. The beach is as close and a pretty as they say. The parking space provided made accessing it very easy. Carrying the required toys and chairs for the kids can get crazy and that parking space was wonderful. If you are considering staying here you will not be disappointed.

Great House Great Location

This was our 4th year at this terrific property. The house is spacious and the back yard is an extra added treat. Great for Wiffle ball and frisbee games. Add in gas grill and picnic tables and your outdoors is a bonus. We were 10 people and never felt crowded and the beds are most comfortable. Kitchen has basic utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. All appliance are in good working order. If anything needs attention the landlord is Johnny on the spot and whatever the issue it is remedied immediately. Landlord is also a great concierge and has great recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. The house is only 1/2 mile from the most beautiful and clean beach in all of Rhode Island and access is extremely easy. If you are lucky enough to get booked into 5 Charlie you will not regret it. Great House!

This house was perfect for 2 families!! We all had ample space to move around and plenty of bedrooms for everyone. The house was very clean and we loved the decor. The fenced in backyard was the best. Very private. We had many corn hole tournaments out there. The kids loved the outdoor shower. The driveway accommodates 5 cars side by side, which was nice because we had many visitors. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone planning to visit Narragansett. We are already thinking about booking again next year. Owner, Carl, was great to work with and very responsive to all my questions. It was a perfect vacation. Thank you again Carl!

Great vacation home for all!

This home was perfect. Spacious, clean, decorated nicely and exactly as described in the pictures. The backyard was beautiful and fenced in for privacy. And, I must say, the beds were super comfy!!! Great location, fun for the whole family

Perfect place for the whole family. A short 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach. If you didn't want to walk, the owners provided a lot to park within 1 block of the beach. Back at the house, the fully fenced in backyard was great to let the kids run around, play a little wiffle ball and other yard games. The community also has a common playground around the corner. The owners were very accommodating and provided anything needed, including making sure there was a spare propane tank on the premises for the grill. The house also had a variety of board games to keep everyone entertained during the one rainy day we had. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our vacation.

Great location, beautiful house and yard!

We rented this house with another family and we were all incredibly pleased with the house, the yard and the location. It was very clean and decorated in a very attractive beach house style. I personally like it better in person than in the photos. I have seen a number of houses in the area and this is definitely one of the more nicely decorated. There was plenty of space for both families and the kids really enjoyed the fenced in back yard. We did have a problem with the a/c in one of the bedrooms but the owner was very responsive and worked toward resolving it immediately. They were a pleasure to deal with - from booking through departure. The best review I can give from our entire group is that the last night we were there having dinner we all agreed - we will be returning again to this wonderful beach house! :-)

Great place for a family vacation!

We had a wonderful two week vacation at this home. The house was spacious, clean and exactly as described in the pictures and description. The owners were very kind, welcoming, and diligent with all of our questions and needs. The parking spot near the beach is an awesome perk! It was so helpful when it came time to lugging beach gear to and from the beach. We had adults and kids ranging from 2-60 years of age ... It was a perfect house for all!!

A wonderful family vacation!

We were so comfortable in this house. Clean, well maintained, near the beach and many places of interest for all ages. Outdoor shower is great! We enjoyed the ferry to Block Island, various zoos, farms, Watch Hill, Mystic and close to a farm for beautiful corn, tomatoes, etc. Loved our dinner at Spain Restaurant and ice cream at Aunt Carries. Our group was six adults and one three year old and we were all happy!

Excellent Location, Best Home in the Neighborhood

I would like to thank Suzanne for providing us such a wonderful home in a great location for our family vacation this past July (2012). The house was very clean, well taken care of, and was furnished with everything you would have in your home (if not more). The house had plenty of space for 8 adults, 3 children who were there full-time and some additional overnight guest part-time to stay comfortably. The yard is very large and fenced in so the kids had plenty of room to run around and play safely. The beach is walking distance, we had young kids so we did drive them down with our beach gear and everyone chipped in for a parking pass (we used my dad to get the senior rate). Location is also close to shopping and attractions (go to Crazy Burger!!), we had a wedding in Newport which took about 40 min to get to with traffic. Lastly we took walks around the neighborhood at night and checked out the other rentals to compare and everyone agreed we this was the best house in the neighborhood. Thanks again Suzanne, it can be very unsettling renting a home in RI when you live in CA, but you were excellent to work with and we hope we are able to come back in the near future!!

Very accurate description

We came with three families and our kids. We had one of the best vacations we have ever had. Plenty of room in the house, big back yard! with grill and nice deck. The house is a very easy five minute walk to the beach. Very very nice neighborhood. Three months prior to booking we scoured the area looking for the perfect house and I have to say we found it. The price was right and it had everything we could have wanted for a perfect vacation. All of our kids are 13-20 and they had friends stop by and never once did we feel crowded in. I promise you won't go wrong selecting this house.
