I can’t say enough good things about this home and these hosts. I have done vacation rentals for years and this was by far the best experience. It is very accommodating for a large family group with ages from infants to 70’s. Comfortable beds, sparkling bathrooms, and a kitchen I would bring home with me if I could!

A Family Favorite

From the moment we arrived at the cabin we knew it was going to be a memorable experience. Everyone fell in love with the place from the start. Plenty of space, well appointed. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pond, the deck, the porch, plenty of places to have fun or just relax and read a book. We really couldn’t have asked for a property that fit our needs better than this one. Looking forward to another visit.

Highly recommend staying at this property! Lovely Log cabin home with spacious indoor & outdoor seating areas, well equipped kitchen, beautiful property with plenty to do for all ages. My group of 15 family members ages 83 to 9 years old enjoyed 3 nights of creating new family memories together. The kids enjoyed kayaking & swimming in the pond while the adults relaxed in the hot tub. All enjoyed the ping pong, ski ball & the board games. This property is well manicured, cozy & provides well appointed Handicapped accommodations that are typically are a challenge to find for my loved one’s specific needs. Thank you host/Lisa for your quick, helpful response to an inquiry. Looking forward to planning another family stay at this property! 5 Star property with 5 star customer service

This home has everything you need. We stayed over the Christmas holiday and had everything to make our stay great. The house is comfortable and has many areas for guest to relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings. The kitchen is stock for preparing large family meals, and there is plenty of room for everyone to cozy around the center island. The lower level has a beautiful theater for everyone to watch a movie, plenty of things to do to entertain kids and the adult kids. We hope to return, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you, the host made sure we had what we needed during our stay. We hope to return.

Top Notch!

This property offers every aspect of itself to the guests' enjoyment. The owners' love is evident in the many details which are all clever, fun, comfortable, entertaining and of very high quality. We never left the grounds yet never ran out of things to do or new areas to relax in. Rick and Lisa's hospitality is unsurpassed in our experience with rental properties. It is beautifully maintained and was literally gleaming in cleanliness. You will not be disappointed in this gorgeous retreat!

Dream house

We stayed four nights when we went to our daughter’s wedding. We deeply enjoyed the house, the views and all the fun stuff around the house from the goodies , wonderful beds and things to do we loved the theater but what we loved the most was the outside lake, jacuzzi and outdoor seating. It was all wonderful my daughter and brides maids had a wonderful time as well. People from all ages will have a great time here. I will hardly recommend this place for family gatherings.

We have rented a lot of places for our large group of friends but I can say, without a doubt, that this was our favorite place by far. Can’t say enough about how pristinely clean, well stocked and fun Winding Wood cabin was. We’ve already rented it again for next year. From the large kitchen/dining room area, the coffee bar/room, the game room, the theater room and the bedrooms with extremely comfortable mattresses, you can’t go wrong staying here. There’s even a large hot tub that was used during the dead of winter. Had a couple of questions for the owners which were promptly addressed. You won’t be disappointed if you decide to stay here. We sure weren’t. Thanks Lisa and Rich for a wonderful stay!

Thank you so much for such a heartfelt review! 🥰 We're beyond thrilled the cabin has become your go-to spot for the group, and that the kitchen, coffee bar, game room, theater, and that hot tub all delivered even in the dead of winter! So glad any questions were handled quickly too. If you ever want to switch things up next time, the pond is a great spot for some quiet time as well 😊 Can't wait to host you all again next year!

Exceptional!

Our family of 4 and 3 dogs had a wonderful stay at the Winding Wood Cabin. It was spotless when we arrived and had all of the creature comforts of home. We fished and swam in the pond, played games and watched a movie in the home theater. We spent many hours just relaxing on the porches. The back porch overlooks the pond, and the front porch has a lovely courtyard, it was perfect! We also really appreciated the fenced in portion of the property for our dogs, gave us peace of mind that they would not wander off. Lisa has taken much care in providing a comfortable stay for everyone including our pets. There were blankets, bowls, treats and potty bags provided, it was fantastic. The house and property are gorgeous we could have stayed for the rest of the summer! Thank you for an amazing stay and cherished memories.

Fantastic Fall Getaway

I want to first begin this review by saying - what an amazing property! Myself, along with friends and family traveled from South Carolina to this area for my sister's wedding nearby. Lisa, the owner, was so incredibly helpful during the booking process, during our stay, and even upon departure. This home was so well equipped with everything you could possibly think of. Coffee, snacks, laundry pods, even extra bathroom items such as a new toothbrush - it is obvious they really went out of their way to think of anything and everything a guest may need. The man made pond was such a nice feature and my sister and I enjoyed paddle boating in the afternoon. This home was so perfect for our group that all traveled hundreds of miles and did not want to stay in a hotel. A few members of our crew have family close to this area and even discussed coming back again just so we could enjoy this cabin again. Thank you Lisa, we had a wonderful stay in your beautiful home!

Everything and more

We took our first whole family vacation this year at Winding Wood Cabin and man… there aren’t enough words to properly convey how incredible the experience was from start to finish. From booking questions, to check in, to an unfortunate lock out (oops, our fault) Lisa and the entire Gatherying team were wonderful beyond words. They had absolutely everything we ever could have needed. There truly was no need for us to leave the house if we didn’t choose to. They covered every base from varieties of coffee makers to extra chargers in the drawer to toxin free bug sprays and scent free laundry soap. I was so impressed by the time, energy and effort that they put into this vacation home. They crossed every t and dotted every i and we had the very best getaway at this property. The quiet, scenic surroundings incredible. The view from whichever porch you choose is picturesque. Everything about this house is perfect and we hope to be back again! Thank you for being amazing hosts!
