About this property

+ The Cabin + @ Camp Potomac Peak

Camp Potomac Peak was recently (Nov 2024) voted the best place to stay in the Eastern Panhandle by WV Living Magazine. The cabin provides everything you need for a weekend in the beautiful mountains of WV. Luxury mountain accommodations with an unmatched attention to detail.

The space
An open floor plan houses the kitchen, dining area, and living room. An electric mid century modern fireplace creates a cozy night inside, while a Solo Stove fire pit (stocked with fire starters and dry firewood) creates a memorable night outside.

We provide everything you need, including all linens, bath towels/hand towels/washcloths, extra hot tub towels, paper towels, tp, basic spices/sugar/olive oil, fully stocked kitchen, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hand soap, dish soap/detergent, laundry detergent, etc (we will email a full list upon booking).

With one bedroom (queen), and one full bathroom, we also provide a queen air mattress with extra linens and pillows, if needed.

Upon arrival, you'll find a bag of fresh coffee beans and a s'mores kit waiting for you! A quick walk up the driveway, and you'll be able to take in some incredible views in our outdoor Lounge area, which is shared with all guests staying on the property. You'll also find our newest amenity--the Trading Post--where you can pick up some CPP gear, drinks/snacks, or some items you might have forgotten to pack! There is also a mini library of books and records, and a postcard mailing station. This space is open for all guests staying on the property, 24/7. Once booked, we'll email you our custom Field Guide, highlighting all of our favorite recommendations for what to do, see, eat, and explore in the area.

Camp Potomac Peak is located on a ridge of Cacapon Mountain and has stellar views over the Potomac River into Maryland and Pennsylvania. Situated on 8 acres, the property offers plenty of room for stretching your legs and walking around the grounds.

The cabin is dog friendly- we allow one, well behaved dog per stay. We provide dog bowls, sheet, towel, and poop bags. A $75 pet fee covers additional cleaning, as well as a donation to our local Humane Society.

The property has reliable, fast wifi, smart TVs (we provide Amazon Prime and Netflix to make it easy for you!), and good cell phone coverage.
Guest access
Please note, the Cabin shares a driveway with our other rentals—the Lodge, and the Cedar. Because we have multiple units within close proximity to each other on the property, we ask that guests respect quiet hours after 10pm. Some of the grounds, and the large lounge area (with the killer view!) located at the top of the driveway, are shared, common spaces with other guests.
Other things to note
We are meticulous about cleaning, and can ensure that the place will be spotless. The towels and sheets aren’t the only things fresh—as we wash all throw blankets and duvet covers before every guest.

We also live just five minutes away from Camp Potomac Peak, so if anything comes up where you might need assistance with something, we are almost always the ones you will interface with. Jeff is incredibly handy and can fix/solve most anything (but don't tell him I admitted that). We are both personally involved in ALL of the day-to-day operations at CPP, and we are available 24/7 (we provide our personal cell phone #'s upon arrival). We have an absolutely AWESOME team member, Mandi, who does most all of our cleaning and detailing to make your stay perfect. You may see one of us on the property during your stay servicing another unit- please don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable!

We totally understand that things come up and plans may need to change. We allow one reservation change outside of the cancellation window. Requests for changes inside of the cancellation window will result in related penalties per our cancellation policy. Just as we handle cancellations within the window, should the cabin rebook for the original nights of your scheduled stay, a full refund of the rebooked nights will be issued.
