Welcome to Happy Valley Retreat, hosted by Blue Maple!



A secluded, newly-renovated cabin nestled in the mountains, with everything you need for your getaway.



The highlights:

- Relax in the outdoor hot tub!

- Grill on the deck & hang out on the screened-in porch

- Cozy up inside by wood-burning stove

- Stream movies or take video calls on fast WiFi (50+ Mbps!)

- Drive less than 5 mins to both the local brewery & winery

- Drive 10 mins to Berkeley Springs for amazing restaurants & shopping



The Space:

Our light-filled cabin is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families or small groups of friends.



The cabin includes:

- Two large bedrooms (king and queen beds)

- A huge wrap-around deck with a propane grill

- Outdoor hot tub perfect for relaxing

- Open concept living room with wood-burning stove (although we have central AC and heat, so no need to worry about the stove if you don’t want to!)

- Fast, reliable WiFi that's good enough to stream movies and hold video calls

- Fully-stocked kitchen with granite counter, dishwasher, stove/oven, and microwave



We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).



Please note: Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!



Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close to everything we are -- particularly the Great Cacapon River and Berkeley Springs. The Great Cacapon is fantastic for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing throughout the year. And the town of Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US; the shopping, spa, and restaurant scene does not disappoint! The local brewery (Berkeley Springs Brewing Company) and winery (Cold Run Valley Winery) are also right next door; we especially love the BBQ and beer at the brewery!

A nice, cozy cabin for a getaway

The cabin offered the perfect long weekend getaway. The hottub was fantastic, and the wood-burning stove was perfect for cold evenings. Definitely will stay here again.

Just what we needed!

We had such a lovely time staying here with our family! Pictures do not do this cabin justice. It is so cozy and clean, and the property is beautiful- we loved listening to birds and having coffee on the screened-in porch. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Great Stay outside Berkeley Springs

We had a great stay for one night breaking up a road trip. The cabin is not far from town and was nice and private and very clean upon entry. The hot tub cover holder was broken, but other than that everything was just as advertised and we loved enjoying the go tub under a nice starry nice. Would definitely stay again..

My wife and I enjoyed Cacapon State Park, golf, hiking, and breakfast at Charlotte’sand restaurant at lodge. Great meal at Angus and Ale in Berkeley Springs. This was our second trip to Tony’s cabin. It is very nice, clean and hot tub is wonderful.

Wonderful get-away

This was the perfect place to relax and decompress. We practically lived on the porch and watched birds and the trees. Exactly the right distance from town and groceries - not too far, but far enough to feel wonderfully remote. Tony was a great host - responded to our questions immediately and helpfully. A Nice Getaway

Everything was as described. Check in and out were easy, hosts were highly communicative. The cabin was a little dusty and could use a deep clean as there were a few dead bugs and hairs around the bathroom, but ultimately nothing to complain about. I booked this for a spontaneous weekend get away for 4 adults and was very happy with the decision.

Honeymoon

For our honeymoon we wanted a private cabin with a hot tub and we got what we wanted. The cabin was clean, well equipped, quiet and all that we needed. We were able to enjoy visiting Berkley Springs, Harpers Ferry, the brewery, and just relax. Highly recommend if you want peace and quiet and privacy. Would definitely return!

Secluded with a lot of trees around the house. Screened porch, outside areas, living areas, and kitchen are very nice, ENtire house and areas were clean. Tony was always very quick to respond to text inquiries. Excellent WIFI, online house manual with videos on how to use the hot tub was helpful.Near Berkley Springs. The master bedroom is large, updated and clean. The second bedroom is small and a little dated.

Quiet and restful

Tony and his team have created a lovely, little place here! It was perfect for the two of us and our dogs for 3 nights. Might have felt cramped to have another adult with us. Perfect quiet getaway

This property was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The house itself was very clean and well kept, the hot tub was perfect, and the area is quiet and absolutely beautiful! It feels secluded, but it's not far at all from a grocery store and several neat restaurants. Tony is easy to communicate with, and the house had tons of personal touches that we really appreciated. We also brought our 2 pups, and I think they enjoyed their getaway too - the neighborhood is great for walks!

Get away in the mountaiins

My husband and I wanted to have a few days to ourselves. We love the area of Berkley Springs, so this was perfect for us. Relaxing in the hot tub, quiet neighborhood, walking the town and hiking in Cacapon State Park fit our agenda perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and comfy beds. Communication was excellent, especially when the power went out! It was only for a few hours, that is when we walked the town. Pet friendly was icing on the cake. Thank you for a wonderful get away

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Happy Valley Retreat in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
