If Airbnb had a 6 star option for those rare standout places, this would be one of them. This is the perfect place to base a visit to the Mt Rainier area. The house feels brand new, so clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The communication from the hosts was great, before and during the visit. If you are looking for an Airbnb and this house is available, book it!

One of the nicest Air Bnbs I have ever stayed in-it was so clean and new! The unit had everything we needed and more. Paulina was a great host who was very easy to communicate with. The location is also so close to Mt Rainier’s entrance which made it so easy for us. Highly recommend!
- Zach
Paulina is one of the best hosts I've had. Her accommodations to my requests for my special occasion, which made this stay an unforgettable experience. The property itself is a gem in the woods. It offers all the fantacies I had for a weekend retreat: comfy bed, hot tub, firepit, barbecue grill, huge kitchen, as well as many other less visible features that can make a huge difference in the actual experience. Every room and corner was clean and well maintained, which has given me the right vibe I paid for. Highly recommend and will come back!

Ashford is a rural mountain community, and the best way to explore is with your own vehicle. Public transportation is not available, and ride-share or taxi services are very limited.
From the cabin:
– Turn left on Kernahan Rd E to reach Hwy 706E. Right leads to the Mt. Rainier National Park entrance; left takes you toward Ashford and back to Elbe.
– Turn right on Kernahan Rd E to follow scenic Skate Creek Rd (closed in winter) for 23 miles to Packwood and Hwy 12.
★ Guest Guidelines – Making Your Stay Easy + Enjoyable ★
• Power Outages – Life in the mountains can come with the occasional outage. Flashlights are in every room. Heat, hot water, and cooking still work; hot tub, Wi-Fi, and wall heaters will pause until power returns.
• Pet Policy – While we love animals, Ridgeline Retreat is a pet-free home. ADA-trained service animals are welcome with prior notice and documentation.
• Smart TVs – Both Roku TVs are set to Guest Mode. Feel free to log in to your favorite apps — you’ll be automatically logged out at checkout.
• Septic Awareness – Please avoid stepping on the raised mound in the southeast corner of the yard. It’s part of our septic system and needs to stay healthy!
• Clean & Fresh – The cabin is professionally cleaned and sanitized before each stay. No smoking or pets are permitted inside the home.
• Firewood – You’re welcome to use any leftover firewood. Otherwise, local vendors have great bundles nearby. Please follow local burn ban guidance.
• Visitors – Only registered guests are permitted on the property. Infants count toward total occupancy.
• Hot Tub Safety – For your health, we recommend avoiding hot tub use if you are pregnant or have heart or circulatory concerns.
• Early/Late Check-In – We may be able to accommodate early check-in or late checkout with 24 hours’ notice ($50 each, if our schedule allows).
• Security Note – A single exterior camera monitors the driveway and front entry. There are no interior cameras.
