This beautiful cabin could not be more inviting, interesting, peaceful and restful! It is obvious how much love and care has gone into its creation, and we are truly grateful for having spent the night there. It had everything we needed, and sitting on the porch, admiring the view and petting Miso, the cat, was very enjoyable. We appreciated the board games, cozy blankets, cool hats (picture op!), beautiful scenery, and the relaxing hot tub. We wished we could stay a second night. Gary is a communicative host, but gave us our privacy. We were here for a peaceful girls’ night, but I believe we will both return with our husbands. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us, Gary!
It is a nice quiet little get away. The hot tub was great! Cute little cabin and Miso was a very friendly cat who joined us at the hot tub!! Gary is great to work with!
Host was very welcoming and quick to stop out when the pipes froze in the shower!! Cabin was so cozy and we loved using the hottub, and our little friend Miso who hung out with us most of the weekend. Loved how rustic and unique the entire cabin was, and learning about the history of when and how it was built. perfect place to go for a little getaway but still be close to town. definitely will recommended and come out again!!
Wonderful cabin with lots of historical information and lore. Every corner of the cabin feels cozy and nostalgic. Bunk beds were perfect for two friends. Hosts are responsive and helpful. The best part? A fat tabby cat named Miso who will greet you and follow you into your cabin. He kept us company near the fire and made the whole experience so lovely and warm. Great cabin, we enjoyed the hot tub. Not a whole lot to do in the town, but we had a nice time in the space. Highly recommend.
Absolutely delightful! We sadly didn't have a lot of time to spend here, though all 3 of us where talking about how we wish we did! And next time we come to the area we are definitely booking here again! The cabin is very clean and perfectly rustic. Driving down the farm roads, with all open fields is a drastic comparison to the woodsy comfort this property gives you. Miso, the cat, guards the land and will let you love on him as long at you want.(he'd make this review 10 stars, if I had the option). I had the privilege to spend some late night porch time with him and he delivered fresh "biscuits".The hot tub was extremely nice; already heated, clean, and private. We felt comfortable taking a late dip after our long day.Our host was a dream and went above and beyond to accommodate us. I am beyond glad that we booked here rather than in Sandusky, and if you have the option, you should too!

Don and Susan, thank you for visiting Dancing Fox and also for your kind words about your stay during your birthday celebration getaway. Safety should always be a priority as well as a lodging facility being maintained and I'm happy you found ours to be just that. Susan, since Don was able to introduce you to his old stomping ground Camp Perry, I hear you also got to experience your first Mayflies...lol. Always an adventure wherever you go and something to share with others. It was great meeting you both and please come back again and see me. All The Best Always! Janell

Hi Brittany and Michael! Thank you so much for staying with us at Dancing Fox. I'm so happy you enjoyed our reclaimed cabin during your getaway not to mention having a great time at Cedar Point as well. Always know you are welcome to come back any time. All the best to you both.
I stayed here with my teenage kids when we were in Ohio for Cedar Point. The cabin is very cute and secluded but I was not expecting to have a house that close to the cabin. The hot tub is right next to someone’s house (not next to the cabin) which was actually very awkward and uncomfortable for us but I do appreciate the access to the hot tub. There’s a cat that wander the property and although that wasn’t expected either it wasn’t too much of an issue because they all loved pettting the cat however, I was NOT prepared for the cabin to have such an unpleasant smell. It smelled like animal urine or something EXTREMELY strong and very unpleasant. We had to go to the store to buy room spray and candles just to be able to stand being inside the cabin. All four of us in our group have developed congestion and headaches since being at the cabin. That obviously made the visit a little less enjoyable. I think the cabin would be just perfect with a good DEEP cleaning. The fire pit is cute and I love that they supplied the wood and fire starter essentials. I also appreciate the coffee pods and the ice they made for us. Overall, we did get a good value for what we paid but again, just wish it was cleaner.

Loved the personal touches and attention to detail. A beautifully unique place to stay.
My son and I stayed at Dancing Fox due to its proximity to White Star Quarry as we were both doing SCUBA certification classes. The hosts were incredibly gracious and friendly, and the cabin had everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay here again!

Hi Sara and Family!
Thank you for your review and also for staying at Dancing Fox cabin. We learn things every day from our guests and when you were making your reservations, I didn't realize White Star Quarry had Scuba lessons. How wonderful that you and your son were able to come and achieve your diving goals so you can travel the world with your hubby and all dive together. We are delighted you loved the cabin with it's cozy nature and also used the hot tub to warm up in after a long day of diving in cold water. Please know you are welcome back any time. Have a great time with your family diving adventures, stay safe and take care of yourselves.
All The Best! Janell and Paul

My wife and I had a very enjoyable and peaceful stay at the cabin. It was also nice to be in close proximity to Lake Erie and the islands. I hope we we have an opportunity to come back again sometime soon.

I don’t usually write reviews but this cabin is so amazing that I felt compelled. Gary was so kind when we checked in and out and thought of all the little touches to make our anniversary trip wonderful- from balloons to cinnamon rolls to a well-stocked kitchen. Definitely a great place for couples to stay!
