Overall it is a wonderful place with a Fantastic view. Falling asleep to the sounds of crashing waves does a tired body good.20 minutes to Mendocino, 30 minutes to Fort Bragg makes it an Ideal spot for sightseeing and enjoying the Splendor of the Mendocino Coast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There were a few cobwebs in the corners, the ocean facing doors do not work as pictured, and there are no ocean views from the hot tub as represented in the listing, but these are minor notes on an overall wonderful week. The location is excellent--quiet and set apart, but near enough to redwoods, towns, and wineries to venture out with ease. We spent hours watching the waves and the sky from the deck. Beautiful!

Quiet getaway

This was a perfect quiet getaway for a few days. A short drive to Mendocino and anything else along the coast. The house was quaint and perfect for a short stay.

Relaxing and recharging trip!

The property known as "Desire" has the perfect location for everything you'd like to do in the Mendocino area. It's very easy to find and has a view that is out-of-this-world! Desire is quiet and comfortable and perfect for two! Traveling in June, it was a little chilly to sit on the deck, but perfect for the hot tub. We had a great vacation! Thank you!

Nice place, great view as advertised. Gated community. Did not like the fact that the bathroom mirror is not over the sink. Going up and down the spiral staircase is not for older adults. And I hate the fact you have to go through VRBO to communicate with the owner. Painful.

Cozy cottage with eclectic decor, clean, well-stocked with everything you need. Very comfortable bed with lovely linens. Great kitchen to cook in, full-sized refrigerator. Views of the ocean couldn't be better! Loved our stay here.

Location was amazing! Even though it rained most of the time I was there it was such a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the rain. And when I could get out on the deck I did. The view was incredible and the place had everything I needed.

A beautiful getaway

This is exactly what you're looking for in a small getaway cabin. The whole space is warm and is engulfed by the ocean view. Everything is exactly as nice as it is shown and I will be returning likely this winter to fully embrace the cabin life

PERFECT GETAWAY

Mr husband and I stayed at Desire 5 nights for our 1st anniversary. The cabin was exactly as pictured and described. Host was very responsive and communicated every step of the way which was perfect for us as we have never used Vrbo before. My only concern was the unstable back deck, but i knew about it from previous reviews. We fell in love with the sounds of ocean, views and short drives to Mendocino & Fort Bragg!

Amazing Views of the Ocean

An amazing getaway nestled on a private road just south of Mendocino. Amazing views of the ocean through the glass windows on the wall. Cozy cabin experience with a large open space downstairs. Large kitchen counter space to hang out. Highly recommended! Vijna was very accommodating and communicative, thank you!

We love our little getaway!

This is our second time staying at Desire and we just love it. Some things were different this time around. It smelled very musky and closed up and we were greeted with LOTS of spider webs to the face going up the stairs and getting in the shower. We opened up the house and cleaned up the webs and we were just fine. We love waking up to hearing and seeing the ocean. We took a walk in the neighborhood this year and LOVED the scenery, the wildlife and we made a little fox friend. It’s a short drive to so many fun day activities. We did the Pygmy Forest hike, spent the day in Fort Bragg, went into Mendocino and did the tour of Point Cabrillo lighthouse. We love our home away from home!

The Ocean

Location was great. No neighbors quite street. A awesome view of the ocean. House needs a little TLC. The back doors wouldn’t lock. You could see the wood rot outside. We wished there was a TV downstairs. We got good at using the stairs. The shower is very hard to get out of. My husband was unable to take a shower. Step up to high. A heater in the bathroom would be nice floor was cold. Kitchen was good and a nice laundry room. The hot tub was really nice I had a bad fall in the house it made my muscle and bruises feel good. The champagne was a very nice gift. We would go back again we would be more prepared, a stool for the shower.
