The house was very clean when we arrived. The location was great, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Dealing with the property management was extremely easy and they responded very quickly.

Pros: This house had a great number of beds and full bathrooms for the size. Appliances worked well. The roof deck was nice—though it’s worth noting that it’s not connected to the house. The couch was very comfortable and the TV worked well. The surrounding neighborhood was lovely, neighbors were friendly, and it was an easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. We appreciated that beach tags and beach chairs were made available with the rental.Cons: While the outdoor shower was shown prominently in the pictures and the listing, it was overgrown with weeds when we arrived and not usable. When we contacted the host about these issues, he said the outdoor shower was not an amenity for use by renters (despite being prominently shown in the VRBO photos and the host house app instructions). Then he changed course and said he would send a landscaper to clear the outdoor shower, but he never did.But the worst issue was that the carpets in the bedrooms were filthy. It seemed like they had not been shampooed in many years. A prior renter had created a huge mess in the primary bedroom and and the carpets were not properly cleaned afterward. We did not feel comfortable walking around barefoot in the house.
