Welcome to Kilbuck Creek
Nestled in 200 acres of woods and tucked away just south of Rockford Illinois, our facilities at Kilbuck Creek are the perfect destination to escape the hustle and bustle of your busy lives. Our beautiful log cabin home is the perfect place to reconnect with loved ones, and our ceremony site and reception hall make for an idyllic setting for Weddings!
Reset your mind and soul with a walk in our 5 miles of groomed trails, and after you have soaked up all the sounds of nature, come on in and soak in our large indoor spa. When your ready for some fun, splash into our indoor pool and have fun creating memories that will last a lifetime. Our pool and spa are open all rear round!
The Kilbuck Creek runs along side the property, so bring your fishing poles, kayaks, and floating tubes to enjoy the fun side of nature!

If your interested in renting a golf cart to tour the property and trails with, please message us and we can setup payment and contract separately!

Booking Details:
Fees are based on 20 guests, sleeps 40. $50 per guest per night for additional guests.

Kilbuck Creek is not just a business to us, and it’s not just a house, it’s a place where family and friends get to come together and spend quality time with each other in a world where time goes by far too fast. As the owner of this property, I have raised all 6 of my children here, and I've handpicked almost everything you see in the house. My kids grew up coming down the stairs on Christmas morning, or playing in the woods till the sun went down, and we have spent countless meals together in this kitchen. This home and property holds so many special memories and means so much to our family, and we love that we can now share this special place with other families so they can experience that joy as well.
Having said that, it is with the utmost sincerity that we ask you to treat our home with the respect it deserves. Please understand that this isn’t just a business to us, this is where my children have been raised and where we still come together to spend quality time with each other. Our cleaning staff is like family to us, and they put a lot of time and energy into getting the house ready for each group. Please help them out by picking up the house before checkout, it’s greatly appreciated!!

All groups must have an I.D. to present at check in, and we will be looking into each group that requests to book.

15 Year Family Reunion

Amazing to say the least! Our family has a yearly reunion going since 2009. This was by far the best cabin we have stayed at. Location, staff were amazing. Mona is the best! Hope to be back soon when a weekend opens up in 2025 or 2026.

This was my 3rd time using this property. I host a work conference for 18 women from 8 different states, the location is centrally located, it’s so clean and well maintained. Family Reunion

Outstanding host and beautiful property

Our group of 24 adults had a wonderful time here for a team retreat. There were staff at the office on the property most of the time and they politely helped us with anything that came up, no matter how unusual. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great Getaway

This was such a great property for our group of 4 families with kids. There was plenty to do and we all thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. There was a chemical imbalance with the spa but they quickly came and fixed it. Thank you for such a great property!

Family Reunion

Kilbuck Creek is amazing. The place is beautiful and the staff is driven by customer care. Our family reunion was everything we wanted it to be and we are already looking at dates for next year. We will be back. The comment I kept hearing from my family was "This place has everything we need." It's clean, has plenty of space, and has a special feeling about it. The whole experience went beyond our expectations and we now have memories for a lifetime.

Perfect place away from the City

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The place was excellent! We have 2 kids with us and they have stair gates which made us at ease seeing them running around freely. The place was big and place was quite and the pool and jacuzzi was at good size for all of us! Totally a good place if your are looking for a place to have fun and have a some peace away from the busy city with your friends and family!

Amazing property!

Our family loved our stay here! We had 6 families with kids ranging from baby-11. Everyone had so much fun and cannot wait to stay here again. The pool is awesome, and so safe as it's in an entirely separate building, but just a few steps away from the kitchen. The property is gorgeously landscaped and maintained. There was even a peacock and horses to check out! We can't wait to go back!

Perfect location for family reunion

This was the first time that our parents and 5 siblings (with their significant others and children) were able to gather since pre-COVID. The location and amenities were perfect from start to finish! Our entire group was impressed with the grounds, the indoor pool and all of the space available for our group. Our group is already discussing dates to book a summer gathering in 2023 to fully enjoy the outdoor space. We highly recommend this location for gatherings.

I can't say enough about this property. We had a family reunion and it was wonderful. The property had so much for the kids to do. We loved the pool and hot tub! The property was so well cared for and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The grounds are beautiful. The house had comfortable beds, a great kitchen to cook meals, and plenty of bathrooms for everyone. I would highly recommend Kilbuck Creek! My kids are already begging to go back next year!

Spring Break with family and friends

Wow, what an unbelievable property. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kilbuck Creek. The house is massive and incredibly clean! The pool and pool house was a huge hit with our entire group. The grounds are also beautiful. We went on a nature hike and had a great time playing outside as well. Communication with the host was top notch. I would recommend Kilbuck creek in a heartbeat. I already have had people ask if we can do it again next year. Thank you so much!

Nice weekend

We enjoyed Kilbuck Creek -- the pool and hot tub were great on a wintery weekend and there were many bedrooms with lots of beds. We didn't use the outdoor amenities much since it was cold and snowy, but the view was lovely. We liked the big dining room table and large buffet serving counter for meals. A couple of things to note: 1) the stairs are open between the steps so we were a little concerned about our 2 year old niece navigating them (but there are nice gates) and 2) there's only one small coffee pot but several carafes. The property was very clean, beds and linens were decent and plentiful, kitchen had plenty of dishes for a big group.

Covid Getaway

We were a group of adults and kids looking to getaway during COVID and this seemed to fit the bill. The property is spread across three floors with the pool in a separate building, but very close by. The pool and hot tub are the absolute reason to book this rental - our kids were in and out several times a day. I would suggest adding some lounge chairs in the pool area - there are only upright chairs, so was not able to lay down and read in that area at all. We did not want to leave due to COVID so we brought all our own food/supplies. There was plenty of refrigerator/freezer space which was a huge plus. It was also great to have a huge buffet for serving food and tables to seat everyone. There is very limited casual hangout space - just two couches on the first floor and two in the basement, so the group did have to split up when hanging out together. The beds and bedding are all very comfortable. Based on other accommodations we have rented at similar price points, I would not call this luxury, but it was certainly clean and comfortable. If you are planning to cook, be aware that the oven needs to be replaced (cooks very unevenly), you should bring your own knives (poor quality ones available), and may want to bring your own pots/pans as the ones available are very dated/scratched. They have an unbelievable amount of dishes/silverware for usage, but no wine/champagne glasses. They had one champagne flute, but that was it! We called the property manager about wine glasses, but ended up buying our own as we did not receive a response. Other items to bring include a grill lighter, wine opener, bottle opener, and plenty of ice. There is not an ice maker that works well at this rental. There are plenty of pool towels which was great. One thing that should be updated as well - the laundry is coin operated. Again, for this price point and for wanting to dry pool towels, that should be included. A significant issue that we had to warn the kids about - there are two significant gaps in the wood flooring that caused someone to injure their toe pretty badly. They need to be fixed to avoid injury for future guests. The master toilet also ran and leaked water during our visit. There is also only one TV in the house - wasn’t an issue for us. The kids absolutely loved the pool area, hiking outside (gorgeous creek and paths), and the playground. The adults would come back - but hope that the property makes some updates going forward.

Hi everyone!! I raised my beautiful children in this home, so needless to say we have so many memories here! It seems like these kids of mine decided to grow up on me overnight and now have their own homes and their own children. So I decided to downsize into a more functional home, but I wasn't quite ready to let go of this property that we all loved so much.
So that is how our home and property became Kilbuck Creek!
Our company is a family run business and we absolutely love hosting everyone's events! To see peoples face light up when they see our place puts a smile on my face and in my heart!

Kilbuck Creek is such a unique vacation rental and venue. Our spacious home hidden in the woods, is the perfect location to gather and really enjoy quality time with each other. The 3 level home gives you some space to stretch, but still feels warm and cozy.
The indoor pool and spa makes our home perfect for all season round fun!
The property has chipped trails to explore the woods, and the Kilbuck Creek runs right along the property (hence the name of the company).
