This place is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully updated, peaceful, and secluded. If you’re looking for a place to truly get away, relax, and enjoy some quiet time, this is a perfect choice. We loved being able to sit back and watch the boats and people traveling along the river. The host was fantastic! Communicative, responsive, supportive, and on top of everything.The only thing I would recommend is clarifying the bedroom information in the listing. It is a 3-bedroom home, but the description sometimes refers to 4 bedrooms when it means 4 beds, with two beds in one room. The photos also made it appear there was an additional bedroom because the same bed was shown with different bedding. This was a little confusing, so I would simply suggest making the listing and photos clearer. The roll-out bed provided by the host worked perfectly for our needs.Also, know that this property is genuinely secluded. Supermarkets, stores, and other necessities are about 15–20 minutes away. The drive is beautiful, but the roads are extremely dark at night, so drive carefully and watch for deer and wildlife. There’s no convenient corner store or Wawa nearby, so plan your shopping accordingly.That seclusion is also what makes this place so special. I would definitely stay here again if I’m back in the Philadelphia area and looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway!

We stayed at Casita Azul over Thanksgiving. It is a wonderful little house. The location is wonderful. Close to the city but quiet. The river was so peaceful. The house has the best appointed kitchen of any I have rented in the past. Many little thoughtful things left for us. Things like usb outlets for charging in the bedroom,soaps in the bathrooms and kitchen, a sponge by the kitchen sink. Those little extras mean a lot.We had an awesome time and would highly recommend Casita Azul.

Hidden Gem

This is one of the coziest and nicest homes I’ve ever rented. The location on the schuylkill river is amazing! We saw people crewing and boating all weekend. The yard is big and well appointed with chairs and a fire pit and covered porch. The kitchen was great too and perfect for our needs. The whole house was fantastic. I can’t recommend it enough!

Really great place to stay for calm vibe while visiting family and site seeing in Philly. Tucked away in very nice section of the inner burbs right along the river. Very nice place to have morning coffee, fish, use the provided kayaks, do a bonfire and smores with kids. We had a good amount of rain during stay and the covered deck in back made that very pleasant as well. Would stay again if available.

This is a lovely little house on the river - it's well-furnished, very private, and spotlessly clean, and we really appreciated the securely fenced yard in which we could throw the ball for our doggo. Access was easy, and communication was excellent (thank you, Nica!). The nearby train tracks may not be for everyone, but we would definitely book a future stay!
