We had a really nice stay at the Atlantic Dream. The house is in an amazing location and was well equipped for our large group. Check in and out were very smooth, and communications from the property manager, Salie, were swift and helpful.
Easy self check in when we arrived after receiving clear instructions from John. The house was beautiful, spacious and clean! The only disappointing thing was we weren’t allowed to use the washing machine. We had chosen the house as it stated it had this facility but upon arrival the information booklet stated we could not. Everything else was great.

Hi Cheryl
I am sorry for the conflicting information. Despite what the booklet said, you were more than welcome to use the washing machine. A simple message to me ( or our house keeper ) would have sorted this out. I will have the offending passage deleted from the info booklet immediately. Thanks for coming to stay. Regards John
wonderful home in Scarborough, a fantastic laid back community. Relaxing home

- Keine Waschmaschine vorhanden trotz Beschreibung!

Dear Thomas I am so sorry you felt the house deserved only a 3 star review. With regards to the house being spartan, we would rather describe the house as being beach comfortable, a place you don't mind bringing sea sand into! With that in mind we covered all the floors in timber laminate flooring with rugs last year. In addition we refurbished the swimming pool (it might have been temporarily dirty as a a result of the winds we experienced before your arrival. It was cleaned on Monday morning), installed a brand new kitchen, repainted the entire house and recovered all the soft furnishings during 2018. With regard to the kitchen equipment we supply everything you could require of a stay. If you were short of anything, all you had to do was ask....In my correspondence with you, I explained that Cape Town was recovering from a water crisis and we are forced to make water savings. With this in mind we do not, at present, supply a washing machine. We also explained to your group that there is a laundry facility who wash, fold and iron clothes just down the road from the villa. When water restrictions are relaxed in Cape Town once again, we will reinstall the washing machine for use. The pool billiards are a set that I bought in December 2018. The only ball that is smaller then the others is the white ball which it is supposed to be. In short and contrary to your view, we invest significant capital and effort into making guest stays a wonderful beach holiday experience and great value for money.
Regards

My family loved it 👌🏾 . Really impressed with the appearance of the property, clean and welcoming.
We had a great family vacation in this house . The pictures don’t do it any justice. My kids are still talking about it days later . The house is located in the secluded part of Cape Town ...minutes away from th beach , close to restaurants. If you looking for a home away from the CBD but has everything your family needs this is definitely it. The pool was clean and definitely a bonus . The Game room perfect for all of us .
The owner , John was very easy to communicate with , responds right away .
Housekeeper Salie was very pleasant patient. He waited to meet us on our first day while we were running late and explained everything we needed to know about our stay .Great experience 👌🏾
I will definitely recommend this property for that large group or family members .

I am married to Annike and have 2 grown daughters at University. We have always loved Scarborough and now own several properties in the area, two of which, Atlantic Dream and Gone to the Beach, we rent out as holiday accommodation .
Why they chose this property
I always wanted a beachfront property in Scarborough and when this one came onto the market we had to buy it. Even then it was perfect for a self catering rental. Quiet, big enough for a couple of families, child and pet friendly and right across from the beach.
