Lighting in the living room was poor ( one lamp). We had one roll of toilet paper on arrival.

The HVAC isn't adjustable, and the presets made it impossible to sleep the whole time we were there. We were told to leave the doors open at night and put a fan in the space to bring in outside air. Seriously? This is unsafe and 3rd world country. After multiple attempts to allow us to control the Temperature he finally changed it but it was no help. I had to sleep on the couch with a knife available to assure our safety. No one sleeps with no security when in an unfamiliar place. He could set parameters on his HVAC system while allowing his guests to choose their settings. this would save him money and allow him to rent it more often. He had the system heater set at 78 degrees when it was 83 degrees and 65 at night. No one should have to sleep in a sauna. After he reset the system to ECO Mode and the temps dropped to the 30's it was to hot. I cannot use VRBO if this is what they allow to represent them. We have other options and as often as we used VRBO this one was pathetic. The outside was old and run down and some of the inside was as well. To make things worse the hot water didn't work consistently, I was able to take a Hot Shower once in 7 days and the wife NEVER did. She was so pissed that we left a day early went to the Hilton and finally got comfortable, some sleep and a hot shower.I could NEVER recommend this place until he realizes he is renting to people we should decide their own fate, within reason. his control issues will cost him more than he can imagine.
