This property is really more like a hostel than a personal home. The host was upfront about the walls not reaching to the ceiling, but there was even less separation than we expected. One of the "walls" is just a translucent sliding, plastic door. The property would be ok for a group that just needs a place to crash and doesn't care about privacy. The location is convenient to Gaslamp Quarter sights, but it is VERY noisy as a result. Impossible to sleep with the noise. Additionally, the TVs did not work and we spent 2 hours going back and forth with the host without ever reaching a resolution. They really should not list "TV" as an amenity if it isn't actually functioning. The decor is rustic chic, emphasis on the rustic. It is obvious that the host/owners have never actually stayed in the property. There is some basic functionality, like outlets, and outlet covers, towel racks, curtain rods that are absent. The AC was very much appreciated as it was very hot when we were there. The host was also very timely in their response though not actually very helpful in addressing needs.
