About this property
BEST LOCATION; SKI RUN CORNER on GROUND FLOOR; G.S. BLDG 3; ski in/out
Location! Location! Location!
This 2bdr 2ba ski condo is on the ski run corner and the 1st floor so it is in the absolute best spot for ski (or ride) in and out to the giant steps ski lodge (and access to chairs 2 and 3).
You can watch the riders in the tubing park through the corner windows in the warmth of the cozy living room. Enclosed parking is directly below the unit. There is a shared jacuzzi hot tub and sauna at the club house between buildings 1 and 2 that also has a game room.
There is covered parking in the enclosed garage that is under the condo (note: 80" max vehicle height), and limited outdoor parking at the end of the building
Tubing area and snow play area is just outside the door, with lighted night skiing on chair 3 and in the tubing park on weekend and holiday nights.
This corner unit has additional balcony and window space compared to all interior units. Unit is fully equipped for cooking and has cable tv in both bedrooms, as well as in the living room.
The ski resort's Giant Steps day lodge now features live music on many Friday and Saturday nights and you can easily walk there.
This unit is very comfortable and convenient for families. It may not be as fancy as some units, but it is clean and cozy. Living room also has a blue tooth sound system that is connected to the tv for improved sound. The couch has dual recliners, there is a Lazy Boy rocker/recliner, and an over sized love seat.
Please, no smoking or pets in the unit.
NOTE: This condo DOES NOT have reliable internet access. There is wifi available in the clubhouse between buildings 1 and 2. There is a T-Mobile cellular hotspot but it has a 50 GB data limit each month.
But if you need dedicated wifi internet access in the condo, this is not the unit that you should rent.
However, there is reliable cell phone service from the major providers if you have your own hotspot service on your cell phone.
There is a DVD player with some DVD titles, and the TV is capable of streaming content if you bring a hotspot to connect to it. There is no loner any cable tv service at any of the Giant Steps units.
There are also some (analog) games and puzzles, and more coat hooks than you have likely ever seen in one place:)
Book the best location on the actual mountain that most skiers/boarders prefer to use.
Note: Giant Steps properties are NOT wheelchair accessible and/or ADA compliant due to the nature of our parking garage and are privately owned residential condo dwellings
Reserve early for best selection of dates.

About the host
Hosted by R. Bruce Pocock

We have skied and boarded all over the western U.S., Canada, and a bit in Europe. Since we live in Needles, Ca., there are not many ski areas as close as Brianhead that get reasonable amounts of natural snow. We have owned this unit since it was built in 1984. We love it here!
Why they chose this property
We selected in building #3 while it was being built. We liked the extra windows on the corner units, and wanted a condo on the ground floor, closest to the ski run so that it would be easy to dash in for a hot drink, to get lunch or a snack (or some other type of fortification), and be right back out on to the slopes. The thin air (highest base elevation of any ski area in the country @ over 9,000') makes every flight of stairs a major ordeal, especially now that we are a little older:)
What makes this property unique
Covered underground parking makes it easier to bring your stuff in and out of your car. A dumbwaiter carries it up and down for you without being out in the snow. The ski run corner makes it easy to get on and off the slopes.
