Relax and Renew on your private deck overlooking the Chesapeake Bay

Do you really want to get away from everything? This tiny community on the bay is like stepping back in time. Enjoy a slow paced day with a gorgeous view of the Chesapeake Bay. Start your morning with a cup of coffee or tea on your deck over looking the bay, you might see the crabbers in their boats or an Eagle flying overhead or watching you from a tree. It is not easy to walk away from the serenity of the deck, perhaps you might glance at one of the books you brought from the house or practice Yoga or meditate on the stillness .Maybe after breakfast you might want to take a walk on the beach or the horseshoe ( a road nearby that has private homes and farmland . You can always take the kayaks out or take a raft to the beach. You might be the only person on the beach that day or in the water.
If it is your first day you might need to go to the store for fresh foods . You won't need any staples they are already in the refrigerator and cupboards.Spices, flour, sugar, coffee, tea , mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, creamer, relish and eggs for you first breakfast are on hand. You won't need to bring sheets , towels or beach towels. There is a washer and dryer in the garage in case you need to wash any clothes. You will find a refrigerator in the garage to keep your beverages cold. There is also a private commode in the garage . Great outside
private shower , inside bath has a whirlpool tub. In the evening their are 2 TV's on Cable with 100's of channels. Great restaurants in various towns not to far away. Cape Charles is worth the trip, very quaint town on the water. You will find menus from various places plus Ocean City, Chincoteague and Virginia Beach not to far away for a day trip. You can always go to Onnancock and take the boat to Tangier Island for the day and really step back in time (original English Settlement). There are golf courses and fishing trips nearby as well.
If you like to cook inside or out you will find everything you need, even cookbooks .
Throw a few things in a suitcase, you won't need much at my little paradise on the bay and yes we have WI FI and a land line!!

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Guests take trash to the site up the road on the way into town. Wash all dishes.

No smoking in house, hose sand off rafts and things taken to beach and put them away. Rinse feet off before using outside shower.
Please be aware of weather, any high winds take furniture off deck and put along side of house. Any trash take to the trash removal site.

Had a great stay. Donna was very kind, helpful and easy to communicate with. The house and garage had everything you could need to enjoy the local area. Bikes, kayaks, fishing poles, crab traps etc.. washer and dryer on site, 2 refrigerators, a grill and a kitchen. Couldn’t Ask for anything more!

2nd time we have stayed here. We love the house and area. This is the place to relax, disconnect from the internet and refuel the soul. For us we are big fishermen and being able to wake up grab a cup of coffee, walk out back with your rod and start fishing on the deck over looking the Chesapeake is awsome. We will definitely be back. Donna is a gracious host and just a text or call away if you need something.

Excellent place to stay right on the Chesapeake Bay.

Excellent place to stay. Porch and deck provide great view of the Chesapeake Bay. There are plenty of amenities so there is no need to bring dishes, pots, pans, towels etc. There is even a washer and dryer. Lots of water toys in the garage including fishing rods, kayaks, floats etc. Hosts were excellent, we saw them when we arrived they showed us around. Donna is always available by text or phone.

Perfect waterfront cottage

This is a charming, nautical-themed cottage. It was clean and indeed stocked as described (even more stocked than described!)! Donna was fantastic, very nice and always responded quickly to any questions (all of which were before our arrival.). The deck furniture was comfortable and we enjoyed hours lounging on both decks! What a gorgeous ocean view!

First Donna(property manager) is so kind & polite person. She was greeting us when we arrived at this beautiful house. She showed to us around the house and explained. It was plenty of space for 2 adult & 2 kids. It has a beautiful ocean front view deck and private sandy beach.

We had a wonderful time at this property. It is a very quiet little town which we loved! Donna was the best host and was there on arrival to go over everything with us. She already had some food and drinks there for our first night/morning. She had all the extras and much more. We went out and explored the Eastern Shore daily. Many beautiful places to see. We didn’t want to come home and definitely would love to return someday! No complaints!

Wonderful Relaxing Waterfront Property!

We had such a wonderful and relaxing week here! We loved the private waterfront deck - from our morning coffee to evening sunsets (which were stunning!) we spent most of our time there. The cottage was inviting and clean with nice beach decor and a very well-equipped kitchen and the cottage had just about anything you could need. Donna was a very responsive and accommodating host who met us and showed us around. She’s great! The only negatives we would have - and this is only because we are a couple in our late 60s - is that we found the deep tub in the bathroom very difficult to use and the only shower is the outdoor shower. It’s ok but it would be nice to have a regular indoor shower. We were a little disappointed that the community beach is really small and the tides make it disappear quickly. We preferred going to the beach in Cape Charles. But the quiet location of this property, the host, and the waterfront deck more than make up for anything! We loved it and hope to go back again!

Gem at Chesapeake Bay

What a beautiful cottage/home located off the beaten path on the Eastern Shore. From arrival being greeted as if we were friends of the family, Donna and her son met us in person, showed us around (very helpful) and gave us helpful hints about the area. Great human connection! Well appointed kitchen, comfortable surroundings the BEST outdoor shower I am missing every day! We had a magical time, made friends with nieghbors and enjoyed breathtaking sunsets and daily swims. Highly recommend although not too loudly, the charm of the area is that not many people know about it. Thanks again Donna! We'll be back.

Fantastic beach getaway

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely beach house. There was easy access to swimming in the bay and lots of beach toys to enjoy. We were also able to fish from the dock. Close to a lovely local winery, beach hiking at Savage Neck state park and Kiptopeke as well as a Virginia Beach day trip about 90 minutes away. My family had a lovely sat and Donna is very welcoming g a a great communicator.

Beautiful Location

Convenient and quiet location. Beautiful sunsets and lighting storms on the bay. We enjoyed swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Took day trips to Cape Charles and went on there free public beach. We also went to Chincoteague on a boat ride on Daisy Cruises and saw dolphins and wild horses. Overall a relaxing vacation.

Cute little place on the water. Amazing sunset views. Central to everything on the Eastern Shore. We would highly recommend staying here. When the owner discovered our flight was pushed out and we would be arriving after 7pm. She had a fabulous chicken dinner with sides and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Adorable Beach Front Cottage

I loved the beachy atmosphere with lots of separate spaces for tv watching, games, reading, etc. My favorite place was the back deck, dock, private beach when the tide was out and the outdoor shower. Wifi worked great!! The owner left me with food for the first day and breakfast the next day which was wonderful, adding a personal touch you don't often get. Oh and did I mention the water toys, beach chairs and all sorts of things for kids big & small

Silver Beach Paradise

This was the perfect place for us to stay and enjoy the 4th of July at Silver Beach! Donna met us to check in and had so many thoughtful and helpful extras for us- food, drinks, toys for the kids, etc. She really went above and beyond to help make us feel right at home! The deck right on the water is heavenly and the perfect place to enjoy your cup of coffee or cocktail. The cottage had everything we needed for a delightful stay. We enjoyed it so much that we already booked our return for next year!

My husband and I bought this beach house several years ago when our children were young. We all loved it instantly. We are not far from Ocean City but they had so much to do here they really did not care if we went to the boardwalk but my husband did take them at least once a year, I usually did not go, the view here is what I always enjoyed and the ever changing bay, one day it can be like a lake and the next waves like the ocean.

Why they chose this property

We chose this one for the view, once you are here you are always looking out at the water, the sunsets are unforgettable. The first time my youngest son saw the sunset(he was 4) he came running to tell us the sun fell into the bay. So many memories, we use to water ski a lot , lots of parties with friends in this area, cookouts, crabbing with pots in garage. You can buy all kinds of fresh seafood in this area and produce.

What makes this property unique

The view is what everyone just loves, so quiet and peaceful. Walk the beaches- might not see anyone. Even if there is rain you can sit in front sitting room and look at the water. We can see storms at a distance and on the other side, they get more rain than we do.
