We spent a week at this home with family. The home had enough space for gathering and the dock was an added bonus and allowed us to have some relaxing time on the water.
The house was perfect for what we were looking for. Great location, zero steps into the house, and just a few steps to the dock. I LOVED the chairs on the screened in porch....so comfy that I could have cared less about getting out on the water. It was a great place to watch the sun rise and set. Thank you!
House matched the description well. Enjoyed the house, the dock and the screened in porch. Marina was a bit closer than i pictured. Well supplied and washer/dryer was very nice to have. If looking for suggestions would add a small fridge upstairs in the hallway so all bedrooms could access it.
When I think of lake houses that perfectly match the atmosphere of Lake of the Ozarks, this home is ideal. #1: amazing main channel view. #2. spacious bedrooms and ample main living/kitchen space. The screened deck is also great so you can enjoy the outdoors without the bugs. Only a few steps down to the dock. Good parking. Great location both by water and car. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with friends for the Shootout weekend.
I loved this property! We requested early checkin and they did everything to get us in earlier. The private dock is great for hanging out by the water. The beds were clean and there were enough towels, plates, cups, etc for all of us. There was a weird wet dog smell when we first got into the property so that’s why I’m rating it lower for cleanliness. The porch is amazing for being outside without bugs. It would be nice to have the trash closer as the hill up to the main one is quite steep. Overall great property close to downtown and comfortable for a large group.
Nicely appointed rental with a very step driveway. There were some exterior lights that were not working on the back of the property. It had snowed and the front walkway wasn’t shoveled making for a very slippery trip to the front door. We shoveled it using the dust pan and broom, I suggest making a snow shovel available on the front walkway during the winter months. We would have appreciated a mirror in the guest room, the bathroom is shared between two rooms, it would be nice to have been able to finish getting ready in the guest room. We noticed the guest rooms were wired for cable but no televisions were provided in the rooms. Otherwise we enjoyed our weekend.
We had a wonderful time at this property. It started with excellent customer service from the property manager, Patrick Porter. He promptly answered all the questions I had on multiple properties that Your Lake Vacation manages.
We settled on the Runabout Drive home. The path to the dock was easy with few steps. The dock had a good ladder that made getting in and out of the water a breeze. The no wake cove was perfect for spending our days swimming and kayaking. We loved the convenient top floor access to unload our belongings. Kitchen had plenty of counter space and was well stocked with dishes/pans. Refrigerator provided filtered water and had an ice maker. With our group consisting of 3 adults and 4 teenage siblings, the only downside was only having 3 bedrooms. There was extra sleeping available in the living room by use of the futon and a blow up bed though.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay!
Having stayed in in VRBO rentals where the descriptions take liberties with reality, I can honestly say that the Runabout Drive property lived up to everything. On top of that, the management team was phenomenal both before and during our stay.
Perfectly sized for a family and located just far enough off the main channel that swimming and fishing off the dock was enjoyable, Runabout Drive didn’t have all of the action of a Margaritaville or one of the other resort properties, but it did have a great breakfast spot right across the cove (Miller’s Landing) and great fishing both off the dock and at the point into the main channel.
It’s hard to find anything of which to be critical… the driveway and parking area is a little tight, but reasonably easy to navigate if you take it slow; otherwise it’s just a few minutes’ drive to both Osage Beach and Camdenton. The skylights in the bedrooms do not have any shades, so the early morning sun could be bothersome to those wanting to waste time sleeping their vacation away. Lugging trash 200’ up the hill to the dumpster was inconvenient, but a couple of pre-teen kids makes that no problem, right? (As you can see, I’m clearly grasping at straws to point out any possible downsides here.)
This will be our first choice for all future rentals at LOTO.
Very nice property, the weather was hot and humid, so we appreciated how well the HVAC kept us cool. Nicely appointed features, and Internet was 100% fast! Nice screened-in porch just made for morning coffee and evening conversation to end each day. Check-in was simple and we always felt we had support if needed by the property manager. Would stay here again in the future!
We had a great time. The property was very well maintained and the screened porch the center of attention. Nice cove on the lake, just a really nice place all the way around.
This was our second time staying here. We love the property. Our only complaint was that the neighbor to the west would turn his speakers on his deck up very loud (could be heard even in the house) in the evenings for about 1-11/2 hours while he sat on his dock. I can't imagine why he would not just take a small blue tooth speaker with him rather than rely on his deck speakers. His music selection was OK, just too loud and inconsiderate. If not for this, I would give it a 5 star rating.
Stayed for 4 nights. House was perfect for us. Really enjoyed the time spent on the dock and the screened porch. Would definitely recommend this property and would stay again.
Our family enjoyed our 5 days at this nice home. Very clean, plenty of towels and items in the kitchen to cook anything you would like.
My wife and I loved the screened in porch to relax on.
The dock provided the perfect space to get some sun and the kid enjoyed the water.
The only negative, and we knew this when booking, is on the weekend due to the cove being so close too and open to the main channel it gets quiet rough on the water and dock.
We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice home while enjoying the lake.
