The Hideaway-in-the-Heart-of-San Diego was exactly what I/we had hoped for during our visit to see Family in the North Park area. The property was immaculate, well lighted, safe and centrally located. Karina provided us with excellent directions and Instructions to assist us with reaching and accessing the property.Next visit to San Diego - we will definitely reach out to Karina!Thank you, Karina, very much.
This was a great place to stay for our anniversary and family getaway! The property was affordable, clean, private, and central to a lot of places that we visited (the zoo, the children’s museum, LOTS of restaurants!). With the host’s directions too, it was easy to locate the parking space. The host was also very communicative; we only had one very slight snag with the parking situation (someone had accidentally parked in our designated spot), but within 10 minutes of reaching out, the issue was resolved and never happened again during our 4-day stay! My husband and I had also forgotten to bring our pack and play and we asked the host the day before our trip if they had one available. They thankfully did and had it ready when we got there. This place is very accommodating and I highly recommend booking this place! Thank you for a great time! :)
Overall this was a pleasant experience that met our needs on this trip. It's not particularly close to any of the stuff we wanted to do as a family, but we were driving, so that's fine. It's located in a very mellow working class neighborhood, and feels very quiet and secure in the house. If you're looking for a place to stay in San Diego and have transportation, this place is great. The kitchen could use a few more accoutrements, but we were able to make breakfast every day for our family of three, and with some improvisation, even had another family of three join us for breakfast tortas one day. (Note: the coffee machine is a K-cup machine, so only one cup at a time- plan accordingly!)It's a new listing, though, so I'm sure that stuff will accumulate. The hosts were very accomodating and easy to get in touch with. On-site washing machine and dryer were a blessing. We found it to be a great base camp to plan for adventures and a restful place to sleep. Simple, sweet, cute, and bright.
