What a treat to stay in a 300 year old home in the midst of Northampton while visit a kid in college in the Pioneer Valley. This property is perfectly situated within walking distance of the entire downtown and Smith College.
This historical house is very clean, very comfortable and quiet. Ideal for a family of 4 with a dog or a family with older children. Has a pleasant little backyard. The location is right in the center of Northampton MA. Very convenient and walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants. Ideal if you're visiting your child in college. Highly recommended!

A wonderful stay in a charming home in Northampton! Every modern convenience, impeccable cleanliness, with the warmth and comfort of a historic home - we could not have found a more restful play to stay to visit the five colleges. We will absolutely will return!
Our almost 4 month stay in such a cool historic house was pretty special. Not our typical vacation rental, but we're glad we chose to stay there. The house was very comfortable and we had what we needed. It's not fancy, but it has that homey, warm and cozy feel. Had we only been there for a short visit, we wouldn't have missed the creature comforts of a dishwasher, garbage disposal and washer dryer, but we made due. The location was perfect for walking out the front door and two minutes down the street to the many restaurants and the great nightlife Northampton offers during the summer. The trail for walking, running and biking was practically right outside the door. Sitting on the patio in the garden area behind the house in the mornings and evenings was relaxing. I enjoyed the sight and scent of all the beautiful flowers and the sound of singing birds with my morning coffee. The host was very attentive and helpful with anything we needed. Be sure to check out the red binder in the living area to see more about the history of the house. Also, there is a museum close by that has a lot of interesting information. I think the history was my favorite part.
Centrally located, historical and beautifully renovated. A little flavor of 1700s Northampton but with modern plumbing :). A block from historic downtown.
Host Kait is superb, welcoming, friendly and helpful (left the lights on for me when she knew I might be late arriving on the train) -- a real pleasure to know as a host. Amenities are great, too, in the nicely refurbished 300 year old property!

The house was very well put together, very clean, very agréable to live in, and so pretty. I highly recommend it. And Kait was so helpful when needed!
We really enjoyed the house, yard, and especially the closeness to union station. Our niece was married there and walking back and forth was great. Only recommendations would be to add a microwave and curtains in the bedrooms. That early morning sun was sure a “wake up” call. Enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for hosting us, Kait! Kait was so communicative and was so flexible with me checking in a a little bit early. My dog and I stayed here for 3 nights and the space was exactly what we needed. So close to Downtown North Hampton - walkable to all the coffee shop and places to eat. Place was clean and had everything we need. I give this a 4.5/5 stars - so very close to 5/5. The only reason is because there is no driveway spot so it could be a little hard unloading during busy times - I had no issues finding off free street parking on one of the small streets around the block. Lastly, if you do have a small dog, be careful about the backyard space. The gaps underneath the fence is quite large and smaller dogs can easily slip through. Overall, it was a great space. We would definitely stay here again!
