This condo is a direct gulf front (the only thing between you and the gulf is sand) sun suite offering a panoramic view of the Gulf of Mexico. A sun suite is one large room divided into living and sleeping areas,combined with a full kitchen and separate bath. It is ideal for a couple or a small family and will comfortably sleep 2-4 people. The Gulf Shores Plantation is the most pristine vacation destinations on the Emerald beach. The low density condominium offers maximum privacy with a multitude of amenities. You can avail yourself of the six outdoor pools, jacuzzi, saunas, exercise room, a putting green, lighted tennis courts, basketball courts,horseshoe pits, charcoal grills among other amenities. Just ok

The pictures are deceiving, this is one large space with a bed in a nook area and a couch and very small chair. The bunks is a nook between the kitchen and the the living/sleeping space. The kitchen is open the to the whole space the bathroom is in the kitchen and the sink is outside the kitchen. The deck is tiny ok for one maybe two people to sit in the high chairs provided.. the room is on the beach with a nice view but the walk is so very long to get the the elevator to take you down to the pool and beach access. The room it self need a good up date. Furniture very old only one tv and it’s very small maybe a 24 or 26 inch. The dinning table is too large for the space. The owner was very helpful and nice the facilities and amenities, pools, lobby , was very nice worth the price. Over all we had a good time and the price was right.

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION

From the moment we booked, the owner was welcoming. The condo comes with everything that you need to cook or you can eat at the restaurant located directly below the condo. The view is amazing! Some things are a little outdated but you cannot beat it for the location and price. We will definitely be back!

Room cod have been cleaner, shower curtain rod would not stay in place fell several times. Overall great room and view for the price would book again.

Perfect Little Place

This was our second time staying here! We love it! It's perfect for our young family of four. If you have older kids might be a little small if yall need privacy as everything (except the toilet and the shower) is one big room. But the property is nice definitely more family oriented area. Host is always quick to get our check-in materials to us. If you love being on the beach and just enjoying a family getaway then this is a perfect little place to stay!

Just Right

We enjoyed our stay!!! The condo is on the third floor with a great view of the ocean. The balcony is small which was perfect for my husband and I to sit and relax after a long day out with our children. I read some of the other reviews before booking and was nervous about some of the things mentioned, but we didn’t have one problem with anything our whole stay. We have two young sons and a two month old little girl so we spent most of our time at the indoor pool because of the high temperatures. We look forward to staying here again next year.

Just what we needed

Everything was amazing! The only issue that we ran into was I was responsible for buying/ bringing any rolls of toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags after the one that was already there at check in. We Also received one bath towel per family member ( family of 4) for our stay of 5 nights. I had to pay to wash them if I wanted them clean ones in the washers and dryers.

Perfect Couple Getaway

We had a fantastic stay! Mac quickly answered questions before the trip and emailed all needed documents well in advance. This made check-in a breeze. The condo was just as described and shown in the pictures. We had great food and drinks at Sassy Bass Island Grill, located just a few floors below the condo. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Beach and pool access was easy, and the condo balcony's ocean view was perfect!

Beautiful views

The location of this condo is awesome. It was nice and quiet. The views from the windows were amazing. The unit was clean and had most things we needed. The mattress on the bed is hard to the point it interfered with our sleep. Also I would recommend adding additional light sources as the two provided lamps provided minimal light at night. Overall though our stay was wonderful.

Perfect place for a getaway

So I rent condos often and vary my selection based on the purpose of my visit. I saw the conflicting reviews and had a little hesitation. I was pleased with the rental. The rental is exactly as described. It’s beachfront and small. It’s not for a large family but it’s great for people that want a clean functional place to stay while they enjoy the beach. That simple! If you want marble floors or high end appliances then not for you. It is priced right, it is clean and Mac was super easy to work with. I would rent this again. Also, great water pressure in the shower…. Not always easy to find!

Great Beach Stay

This property is steps from the Gulf with beautiful Gulf views. The condo is set up well to maximize space. The property that the condo is in is beautiful. The interior of the condo itself could use a deep clean, some general maintenance, and updated appliances. If you're planning on cooking your meals here, make sure you put stuff on the top shelf in the oven and turn it halfway, or you'll end up with burned bottoms. Nothing terrible, but if you're picky or expect perfection, this isnt your condo. This condo is off the beaten path. It is about 20 minutes outside of Gulf Shores. It worked well for our family. It is just 5 minutes from the ferry to Dauphin Island and the fort if you are looking for some educational activities. We had an amazing family getaway on Gulf Shores and we were happy to find this condo to stay in. We would definitely stay again.

Kiva Dunes experience.

Our experience was not very pleasant. The refrigerator was old and smelled bad on the inside. The bedding was not changed before our arrival. The sitting chair was dusty. The TV was very small and the remote was almost unusable - some numbers not even usable and only about 5 stations could be received. The tub had a buildup of someone's hair and the floor was not cleaned very well. I will not be going back.

Condo concerns

The property was listed as a 1 bedroom. There is no bedroom, it is a studio. The property is in poor condition. There was mold on the vent, the sheets were dirty, the box spring was broken, the refrigerator has rust all over it and the lamp is held together with tape. I have pictures of all of this. The owner did offer to refund us they money we had to spend on new bedding, but did not offer any kind of refund on our stay. Very disappointed in the property.
