The host's were great. We met them at the property and again in town. Very friendly and courteous. We enjoyed being right next to the river, especially when opening the door to the river view first thing in the morning!
Charming cabin thoughtfully put together, full of character. We had a busy stay in and out but our time there was quiet and peaceful, just what we hoped for. Covered deck with fireplace added lovely ambience and kitchenette with outdoor grill was perfect for making meals. Very clean and comfy.
Everything was perfect! Was very relaxing, we go to see 2 eagles up close! The just was great she even gave us a gift for our anniversary. We would love to make this a yearly thing and come back during the summer also to enjoy the water
This place was the best! Very quaint and cozy. Quiet atmosphere and very relaxing. Location was perfect for what we wanted and needed. Hoping to go back and experience in summer.
We loved our stay at this rustic cabin right on the river. The setting was peaceful and beautiful, and the thoughtful touches made it feel extra special—things like the cozy fuzzy robes and the surprisingly well-equipped tiny kitchen added so much comfort. Communication was prompt and friendly throughout, which made everything easy.Although we didn’t end up using the warming hut/yurt bar hangout, it looked like an amazing spot to gather, especially for multiple families or groups traveling together. Overall, a wonderful stay—would happily come back!
We had a very relaxing stay. Everything was so quaint with loads of character. Very quiet, enjoyed a coffee with a fire each morning. We’d love to come back.
Staying here was like staying with a good friend who has anticipated your every need! From the amenities like the ice maker, white noise machine, and fluffy robes to the personal touches in every inch of the space, this is one of my favorite stays we have booked! The view was amazing and so incredibly peaceful. The only, and I mean only, thing we saw that was less than perfect is this property is pet friendly so there is the spare dog hair here and there from previous guests. I would 100% recommend this stay and hope to make it back some day!
What a wonderful place to stay! The view is amazing and the cabin just as nice as the pictures indicate! We are already looking forward to coming back! Tammy / Indiana
We just love this little place. Not the first time staying and won’t be the last. We enjoyed the local attractions and scenery. The host is the best! Can’t wait to visit again! And the book that was left was absolutely amazing “Flash”
The property was gorgeous and offered very nice privacy and amazing views of the river and mountains! Cabin was so nice and warm even when snowing outside and was the perfect place to stay over Christmas! All of the little touches really show how much hosts care about your experience there. Thank you so much for having us!
My husband and I stayed 3 nights here with our dog. We had been to the area before and wanted to explore it further. The bunkhouse was a perfect base for kayaking, fishing and hiking. We loved the privacy and all the many extra little touches. They have truly thought of everything. Thanks for a great stay!
Nice stay with everything you would possibly need.
We stayed in the cabin 3 nights. Was a good location and the cabin provided all one needs and more. They have gone out of their way to make it a good spot. Every little detail thought of and provided. So much stuff in the cabin without feeling cluttered. While we went for hikes we could have easily filled our time without leaving the property.
We had everything we needed for cooking meals and relaxing together at this comfy tiny house on the river. My husband “worked from home” for two days and really got work done! The sauna was perfect and the whole property vibes very calm and space is well cared for and intentional.
Every last detail was considered and provided for charm and comfort. Thanks for the obvious care and kindness at every turn. We had such a lovely stay that we were sad to be leaving so soon! We will definitely be back!
Tish’s is about details and they are EVERYWHERE! My wife and I giggled at all the signs, the random knickknacks and absolutely random design touches. Loved all of it. Will definitely stay here again.
It was soo quiet and so beautiful!!! Cabin was totally furnished with everything you could ask for and much more. Tish and Brian are super friendly and helpful. We felt we were in paradise!

I am surprised at your review. Our chats never let on about you being uncomfortable. You were so enthusiastic about the whole place, and disappointed you couldn't book it next year. Because it is already booked. In my review of you as a guest, I overlooked mentioning some of the issues, we dealt with, after your departure and it would be incorrect to speak to it now. Sorry you were uncomfortable. 4 stars, is very surprising after all the good you spoke with us about. Hmm, interesting.
We love everything about this beautiful cabin. It was our 2nd time back and we look forward to going back. It’s cozy, perfect getaway from the city. Every detail inside and out the cabin was well thought out! It kept us warm while it was freezing outside...and provided us with everything we needed to cook and have delish meals, especially on the grill! Definitely going back!

About the host

I am a world traveler that settled here in Troy Montana. I went to high school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in NE, Africa. I spent most of my career in the corporate world. I purchased this property in 2000 after some family deaths. I left corporate and decided to purchase this wonderful property. Now I develop this beautiful river property for others to enjoy. As I have just moved back last year. I live in a church that was going to be destroyed. I purchased it and moved it to the property. It is work in progress. While the cabins have been completed and are perfect. It is time for some attention to my own place. I spent a year at sea with my family on a 41 ft sloop and loved it. But solid land feels pretty good too.
Why they chose this property
This property was brush and old car parts when I purchased it. I moved a 100 year old Church to the property and have since built two cabins and other out buildings, plus a Yurt! The property holds a lot of history. I have 75 to a 100 year old fruit trees and the river is framed by cedar trees of about the same age.
What makes this property unique
The three biggest attractions on this property is the "River" "Mountains" and the cabin its self.
