Nestled in a quiet residential area in Scarborough, this delightful cottage offers a peaceful retreat for 6 guests. With 2 queen beds and 2 twin air mattresses spread across 2 bedrooms and 2 living rooms, this charming property provides a superb stay for families or small groups.
The comfortable living space is equipped with heating and AC for year-round comfort. Guests can unwind in the cozy living room with electric fireplace, relax by the firepit in the spacious backyard, or enjoy extra space in the basement with games and toys.
Cook your own meals on a propane grill on the back deck, in the open and newly renovated kitchen, or order/ dine-in at local restaurants just minutes from the home.
Close to popular attractions and centrally located, our cottage is a short drive to popular Scarborough beaches, Old Orchard Beach, Palace Playland, Splashtown, Minigolf, Ice cream, Exceptional Seafood Restaurants like Ken's, and walking and hiking trails.
The home is also a short drive to the Maine Mall, Downtown Saco & Biddeford, University of New England (UNE) as well as Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) and University of Southern Maine (USM).
Close to I-95, 295, and Route 1. Portland is a train ride away in the summer months or easily accessible via a 15 minute car drive. Rideshares are readily available in the area and private transport for up to 6 people can be accommodated per request.

Full check-in details will be provided 24-hours before your requested check-in date. Please ask about early check-n or late check-out. We will accommodate this if we are able!
A/C units are available from July-October and are self controlled by guests. We ask for your respect regarding safety and electricity use, and turn off the units when you are out of the home for extended period, and before you check-out.
Heat is set to 65 degrees Fahrenheit October-April and to 62 degrees Fahrenheit May-September. Requests for a higher temperature setting are allowed for an additional nightly rate.
There is an electric fireplace in the living room that has heat/ light settings for your enjoyment. Please remember to turn this off when not in use or when away from the space. Do not leave it on overnight!
We want to be able to accommodate your pets, however we do ask that you respect our request to follow our rules around having them in the home. The details for this will be sent to you before check-in.
We have an open-fire pit for you to enjoy in the backyard. There are times in the summer when we will ask you not to use the fire pit based on rainfall/ droughts. Please be respectful of this request for the safety of the home and our neighbors. Out of control fires will be promptly stopped by the authorities.
Firewood MUST BE BOUGHT IN MAINE. Our state does not allow out-of-state firewood to be transported in form other states. This keeps invasive populations down and our state lush and beautiful for years to come. Please respect this request during your stay. We are happy to direct you to some local places to purchase firewood as well.
Trash comes once weekly on Monday morning. We will make sure it goes to the street and gets put back on the correct day, however please be aware that depending on your check-in there may be full cans. We ask for your patience and understanding around this circumstance.
Mosquitoes are very prevalent in our area during the summer months. They are particularly bad after rainfall and after dusk. Plan to bring bug spray or other bite prevention during your stay. We do get a professional yard spray once monthly to combat it some, and have tiki -torches available for your use.
Smoking inside the home or near the home is strictly forbidden. If you must smoke, do so away from the house and ensure the windows are closed. Please ensure any garbage related to smoking, or implements for smoking are completely removed and cleaned. Ensure residual smells are properly aired out and removed from the home. Any residual smell, garbage, or left behind implements are subject to our discretion and carry a $250 fine.
