I had a wonderful birthday get away at this beautiful cabin! The hot tub was so nice! There is all the amenities. Very comfortable and easy to get to town. Very peaceful there.
Had an amazing stay at this cabin! It was clean, comfortable, and stocked with so many essentials that made the trip easy and stress-free. The location was perfect, just a short walk to a community market and close to everything we needed. The host was very quick to respond and super helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay again!
This cabin is so cute and cozy, and we had a great weekend there! The private hot tub was preheated for our arrival, there were holiday decorations everywhere, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Each floor has its own thermostat, and the heat was immediately responsive. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes, salt and pepper, foil, ziploc bags, and assorted shelf-stable food items. If you're sleeping in the downstairs bedroom, I recommend bringing earplugs, as the heater makes some loud metal clanking noises right before it starts up. We ended up turning the heater off and putting on some layers to get some sleep, which worked well because the bed was extra warm and snuggly.I wish there had been a coffee table that we could've put our board games on instead of the floor, but I knew there wasn't one when I booked so that's on me.The only reason for the missing star is that most of the dishes and utensils in the cabinet were dirty. We had to wash dried food, sauce, grease, or juice off of almost everything we wanted to use. Besides that, though, we had a wonderful time staying here.
Steven was accommodating to let us in early for check in. He was responsive to a few things that didn’t work as well. It was a clean house, the house is big and was nicely furnished. It does have a lot of stairs. We enjoyed the Traeger bbq after we googled how to use it. The hot tub was nice, I like that we could sit in it and stargaze and the yard was great for us and the dog. We opened windows and could hear a pair of great horned owls hooting in the neighborhood in the early hoursWe had a great time. A few small issues:The upstairs bedroom got hot and the a/c didn’t cool it down much, not sure why as I set it to a low temp. The towels were old and stained and didn’t smell fresh but it is a cleaning service’s towels. The fire pit did not work. Upstairs bathroom needs a bathmat as the floor is freezing cold.
Hey, I’m Steven. I’m originally from the Seattle area and now live in Huntington Beach with my two daughters—they’re the best part of my world. When we head up to the cabin, it’s all about the outdoors: snowboarding in the winter, hiking the trails, and getting out on the water when the weather’s right. I’m also a big baseball guy and always enjoy catching a game. This cabin’s been a great spot for making memories, and I hope it’s the same for you.
Why they chose this property
What I enjoy most about the neighborhood is the balance it offers. It’s peaceful and tucked away, with that true cabin-in-the-woods feel, but still just a short drive to town, the lake, and both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. You get the quiet and privacy to unwind, without giving up easy access to everything Big Bear has to offer.
What makes this property unique
What makes our cabin unique is the layout and how it’s designed for both privacy and gathering. The tri-level setup gives everyone their own space, with the entire lower level dedicated to the master bedroom for a quiet retreat.
Out back, there’s a large deck that’s perfect for relaxing with family and friends, plus a Traeger grill for easy BBQ nights. It’s a great mix of comfort, space, and that true cabin feel.
