Our cute and cozy ski condo is located at a perfect spot on the base of Mt. Alyeska. This condo package includes everything needed to cook full meals, rest weary bodies, and to clean up from a long day of playing outside!
The condo is an open studio, with all the modern amenities one can ask for. Recently upgraded 2 Gig high speed internet with WiFi 6 compatibility, which substantially improves the quality of internet and helping those working remotely. The proximity at the base of Mt. Alyeska places you in an ideal location for all mountain side activities. Roughly a 1 minute walk to chair 3! Also, the glacier valley transit system can take you anywhere in girdwood, the depot is 30 seconds outside the building. Last but most important, from this condos location, you will be within a 10 minute walk to the Girdwood Brewery!
The condo itself comes with everything needed to cook meals. Fresh linens will be provided and also cable television and high speed internet. There is a communal sauna in the complex which all guests can use (be aware that although the sauna is functional, recent upgrades to the building have left some final touches unfinished.)
Guest will be given instructions via email, voice, or text on how to gain access to main building.
Girdwood is a great ski town and the vibe is very laid back. The neighborhood is very safe as crimes are typically very rare...this doesn't mean don't lock your doors though. My favorite place to visit on a nice summer sunny day is the patio of Jack Sprat, which happens to be about 20 seconds away from the condo! Beware of bears, moose, and other critters along the hiking paths as nature is unpredictable.
The base of chair 3 is about a one minute walk from the condo, even faster than that on a bike.
The Glacier Valley Transit System will provide you to anywhere in girdwood. Conveniently there is a pick up/drop off spot located about 30 seconds from the condo. More information is available by going to the glacier valley transit website.
There are bike rentals available at Powder Hound ski shop, which is about a 1 minute walk away from the unit. There are bike trails throughout Girdwood and it is a great way get out and about.
A parking pass will be provided and will need to be displayed in the vehicle when parked on the premises. Towing is now strictly enforced on the premisses so it is imperative that a parking pass is placed in the vehicle during the duration of your stay. If the parking pass is not displayed and your vehicle is towed, you are responsible for all fees associated with retrieving your automobile.
Also, upon check out leave the parking pass in the condo. If the parking pass is not left at the condo, a service fee will be taken out of the deposit for replacement.
There is a gas fireplace in the condo and is available for guests to use.
Due to municipal code, there is no smoking within the condo association or the unit. Smoking outside of the condo 25 ft away from any entrance or on the deck is allowed.
Two large dumpsters north of the condo about 50 yards away. These dumpsters are shared between both condo associations. You can see the dumpsters from the deck of the condo unit. Be sure to place any garbage in the dumpsters and not outside on the deck or left inside the common hallways.
There are onsite coin operated washer and dryers available for guests.
Dogs are not allowed.
Please note there may be some noise coming from the upstairs tenants. This is due to the unit and building being built in the late 1970's when sound/noise prevention construction did not exist. The noise is most prevalent on the weekends during ski season and throughout the summer.
If you wish to smoke please use the balcony as we do not want people smoking inside the condo. No pets. No parties. Please respect our condo. Read the binder as soon as you check in to the unit for additional information.
