Peaceful 3 Story Log Cabin Chalet w/Hot Tub

This is a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath,
3 story log cabin chalet. Located in a quiet culdesac bordering the Chugach Forest. Close to fishing, hiking, biking, cross country and downhill skiing. Located one mile from the day lodge and base of the mountain. Enjoy amazing restaurants, cafés, galleries and Girdwood Brewing Company.
Our chalet has every thing you need. The down stairs is the TV room with two spacious sofa sleepers, laundry room, second bathroom and work space. The second floor is the main entrance with a full kitchen, living room, main bathroom and beautiful sunroom that can be utilized in the summer. The third floor has two bedrooms, one over looking the back yard and the second bedroom overlooks the front yard and has a private balcony. Enjoy during the winter or the summer months. Time on the mountain is enjoyed year-round. Winter skiing is everywhere. Come play on amazing Nordic ski trails or breathtaking mountain slopes.
To avoid any surprises, please be aware of your surroundings outside. You may see wild animals. We have security cameras on the exterior of the chalet.

Cozy, comfy cabin with easy access to Alyeska

The cabin was great. Kitchen well supplied, beds super comfortable, excellent booklet of instructions and area recommendations. Great place to relax, unwind and enjoy all that Girdwood has to offer. Quick drive to the ski slopes & Alyeska Resort. Also easy to walk into town along paved trail if you want to get some exercise or enjoy the outdoors.

Relaxing chalet in a great location.

Very charismatic property in a great Girdwood location. Owner communication and check-in was simple. Property was well appointed with everything we needed, and very close to all the activities we set out to do.

Charming cabin in Girdwood

We loved our stay at the cabin. It was peaceful and very comfortable, with everything we needed and in a great location. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and being able to take a hike right from the cabin.

Perfect place to explore the area

Very Convenient location.

I stayed here with 4 of my friends on a skiing trip. It's very close to the resort and a cozy cabin. The host was very friendly and responsive.

Perfect ski cabin

We felt very comfortable in this cabin for our stay. The layout was great, the rooms very comfortable, and all the needed amenities were provided. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and night while it was snowing. Thank you for helping to make this an amazing get away for the week.

Amazing Home

We stayed in 5 different homes during our trip to Alaska and this one was our favorite. Very clean with plenty of room for everyone. Secluded enough for privacy but only a couple of minutes from town. Wish we would've stayed longer.

Love, Love, Loved this cabin!

We stayed with our two teenage daughters. The cabin was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. I was super impressed with how well stocked it was and loaded with extras to make it comfortable and cozy. Our daughters really enjoyed the basement room. We would LOVE to stay here again if we are ever make it back to Alaska. It was perfect!

Great cabin in Girdwood

I loved this little yet big cabin. The use of space, decor and overall feeling of this property was impressive! My favorite part was the sun room! The owner(s) paid so much attention to detail from the decor, little extras (like throw blankets in the sun room) and lighting throughout the cabin.

OT2 Holiday Party

The cabin was perfect! We loved the holiday decorations and the outdoor lighting. The cabin was clean, cozy, and organized. My classmates and I made dinner, exchanged gifts, and finished off the night in the hottub. Would love to rent this place in the future!

Cute and Quiet

Nice little place on the edge of Girdwood. Close enough to walk if we wanted. Space was nice, basement tv room was great for our teenagers to stay up all night while we slept peacefully with a floor between us.

Long Ski Weekend Getaway

The Sunshine Chalet was perfect for our small family and friends. We live in small Alaska communities two hours' distance from each other. What a treat to meet in Girdwood and have the perfect cabin to gather, make meals, and catch up on life...when not out on the slopes! The Sunshine Chalet had everything we needed or wanted! Watch out; we will be back!

Winter Wonderland

Debbi our host was the best! My husband and son made it down on a Saturday morning and had a wonderful stay! Originally we were supposed to go down Friday including myself but my mom had surgery and I ended up staying in town and Debbi was so understanding even reimbursed part of our stay. Fantastic stay!

The Chalet looks like it might be small but it’s so roomy inside! We stayed as a family of 6 with plenty of room to spread out. Our youngest often get relegated to the least desirable sleeping locations when traveling, but were pleasantly surprised with the lower level. They had a spacious area complete with comfy beds, their own TV, and bathroom! The upper level beds were comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms were stocked and had everything we needed. Laundry was appreciated and the hot tub was a fun bonus. Really cant say enough about our stay… including good communication, hosts graciously allowing us to unexpectedly extend our stay a day, and everything else we needed. Would recommend to anyone, especially a family of 6!
