My two brothers and I rented this gorgeous cabin for my brother's 35th birthday. This cabin is perfectly located about 100 yards down the road from one of the Alyeska Mountain Resort parking areas at the Sitzmark Bar & Grill. What more could you ask for? We will likely be back next season.
We had a wonderful stay with family. The home was clean, beds were comfortable and we had plenty of fresh towels. Thank you so so much. Communication with the property manager was always great and timely. The only issue we had was what to do with our trash at the end of our stay which we took home to put into our own trash can. I would highly recommend staying here. .
What a great place and location! This home lies in proximity to everything were wanted to see and do.
We would not hesitate to stay here again! we've stayed in Girdwood before and this is the best we've had.
This was the perfect place for our family to come together to celebrate Thanksgiving. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. It was fully equipped with all kinds of kitchen gadgets so we could cook the perfect meal. The cabin was cozy with the snow falling outside as we gathered around the wood stove heater to relax and enjoy. Definitely would recommend for anyone wanting a nice, relaxing, cozy, getaway.
We stayed here 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The place had everything we needed in abundance and lacked nothing. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was supplied with everything we needed.
We are really glad we stayed here!
We had a great time at this VRBO. It was within walking distance of the activities we planned, the brewery, coffee, and dinner options.
The house was very comfortable for our group.
Location was excellent, very well-appointed, love all the wood. Owners were easy to work with and communication was clear and easy. Would definitely stay there again.
We loved the place, and Cindy was a great communicator throughout! The cabin was well supplied with everything we needed, was impeccably clean, was so cozy and nice, and was one of our favorite places we’ve stayed! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay, and if we are back in Alaska we definitely will stay again. A++
This cabin was the perfect home base for our family of 5 to explore the area. We were able to do a dog sled tour, 3 very different and wonderful hikes (Mt Alyeska, Winner creek trail, and Virgin Creek Falls), saw a moose, explored the Conservation Center and rode the train to a glacier float- all within minutes of the cabin!! The cabin had everything we needed and more!
We loved staying at the cabin. The cabin was so cozy and had everything we needed. It was quiet and close to everything we wanted to do. We rode the ski tram, the Alaska Railway, panned for gold and went hiking. It was a beautiful spot and location.
Clean, well-equipped cozy cabin with lovely porch flowers. Very responsive host communication. Enjoyed the Girdwood Forest Festival. Very walkable community and coffee shops close by. Nice location for exploring surrounding attractions. Would love to visit again!

This cabin is owned by life long Alaskans. Doug grew up in Seward, and Cindy in Anchorage. We love living in Alaska and would be happy to assist you with ideas of places to visit, go fishing and hiking during the summer.
Why they chose this property
As avid downhill and cross country skiers, we were fortunate to be able to use this wonderful cabin during the winters for many years as it belonged to family friends. We were overjoyed when they offered us the opportunity to buy it from them. It is the perfect spot to ski down for a quick lunch, break or dinner if you are night skiing. It is safe and quiet and a great place for kids.
We spent our summer totally remodeling almost every aspect of the cabin; upgrading plumbing, electrical, appliances, and decks. It was a true family effort and our 17 year old daughter worked right along with us and was a blessing as well as a huge help!!
What makes this property unique
This location and scenery are truly spectacular. It is on a quiet dead end street. There is no need to drive anywhere. It is walking distance to nearby restaurants, bars, and stores. Nearby trails offer great hiking and biking and the shuttle is nearby.
