About this property
Amazing lakefront cabin with private beach, boat slip, kayaks, and pedal boat.
Imagine escaping to a magical cabin on a quiet lake...you wake up to light mist rising off the lake in the morning while you are lying in bed...the fall trees greet you with their beautiful color as some ducks float gracefully by. Come relax and have a cozy fire by the lake at night. Star gaze in a great dark sky area. Enjoy the crisp fall air as you hike the nature trails that encompass one entire end of the lake, and see the abundant wildlife in the area.
This recently renovated 1940's fishing cabin with original hardwood floors and walls is an amazing place to come and relax! Perfect for a great couples get-away, quiet work space, or a small family's most memorable vacation.
You will have 1 queen size bed in this 1 bedroom cabin.
The main living area contains a full size sofa bed, large comfy chair and foot stools and a dining table and 4 chairs.
Kick back and put your feet up in comfort in the A/C or if it's a cozy fire you would like, the indoor gas fireplace will make your day!
Kitchen space includes refridgerator/freezer, microwave, large air fryer/oven (big enough to cook a large chicken), 2 burner cook top, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, blender and tea pot.
Included are all the dishes, pots and pans, silverware and utensils, plates and cups (and the wine glasses!) to make your stay enjoyable. Also included are paper plates and solo cups if you don't want to be bothered with doing dishes.
If you would like to grill, there is a gas grill provided, along with grill tools and aluminum foil.
No need to worry about bringing your bathroom supplies as we provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap for you.
All of your towels (including beach towels), blankets, linens, comforters, and pillows are ready for your use.
Also included are 4 campfire roasting sticks and firestarters for you to use at either of the 2 firepits. Firewood is provided with rental, and is located near both firepits for your convienence!
Paddle the kayaks, cruise the lake with the pedal boat included in rental April thru September, or enjoy the wildlife as you hike the nature preserve trails around the lake. Many sizes and styles of lifejackets are provided for the boats.
Bring binoculars as there are a resident pair of eagles that nest on the North side of the lake and can be seen diving for fish during the day.
You may want to bring your fishing pole as you can fish from the dock or shore, or jump in the pedal boat or kayak and fish from there! Lake contains many fish species including bass, pike, walleye, crappie, catfish, and blue gills. Several bait stores are in the area.
There are many outdoor seating areas, including 2 dining areas, and several outdoor games for you to use.
For indoor times, there are books, puzzles, games, and cards, or enjoy all your streaming apps on the Roku TV with wifi.
Enjoy the convenience of contactless check in and check out! Also, please note, that there is a stair free entrance to this rental!
Fall is absolutely amazing here and Winter doesn't stop us either at the Hi-Ho! We provide snow removal, salt and a shovel at the door if needed, and the road to the cabin is maintained by county snow plows. Nothing says cozy like sitting by a fireplace with snow coming down all around you!
The Hi-Ho cabin is located 20 minutes from Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt Pleasant, Michigan.
*1 & 1/2 hours from Grand Rapids
*2 & 1/2 hours from Detroit
Our quiet country area has many family style restaurants, antique and resale shops, a great local grocery store, and a local apple orchard with an amazing free petting zoo, ice cream shop, donuts, fresh produce, pumpkin picking, and hay rides. We love it there!
There are lots of places to hike, cross country ski, disc and regular golf nearby, and the lake itself has hiking trails on a nature preserve.
Mt. Pleasant is only 20 minutes away for any retail shopping you require or if you are looking for any type of restaurant or something to do.

About the host
Hosted by Kim Hasper

My family has owned property on this lake since before I was born. I love being able to share this amazing place with others, as it is one of a kind.
I enjoy repurposing things...making something new out of something old.

Why they chose this property
Living at this lake is amazing! You never run out of things to do or see! And I have the best neighbors ever...people I have known my entire life.
The small towns around here are so fun to explore! The little shops are filled with treaures!

What makes this property unique
Lakefront...what else needs to be said? It's gorgeous here!
This lake has a distinct benefit. One entire end of the lake is in a nature preserve and can never be developed. It contains great hiking trails, benches, info about native plants, and a narrative about the rich history of the area located at the trail entrance.
