***NOTE: Families only. No large parties. We must be extremely careful about the possibility of noisy groups given past experiences with guests.*** Enjoy a private mini resort just 70 minutes from NYC. The place itself is probably all you want. There is a beautifully enclosed swimming pool and tennis court (with pickle ball or basketball optional depending on how you use it). You are perched right on the NY/NJ border just a few feet from the appalachian trail. Explore adorable historic Port Jervis, High Point, or the acres of land surrounding you. Have a glass of wine on the wrap around porch while watching for local wildlife (deer, turkeys, birds). The house is large with 6 full bedrooms, a chef's kitchen, a pool table, central air conditioning, etc. We are a small family that is looking to rent to another for an extended stay in the late spring/summer. Month long renters of small families are ideal.

We held an executive business retreat at the property. It was everything we hoped for and more! The big open great room was perfect for our daily gatherings, the dining room accommodated us all, the outside patio was perfect for happy hour and bbq, and the pool table made for fun evenings. Such a beautiful space for swimming, running, walking, with lots of little nooks all over the property for quiet private conversation. We didn't want to leave!

The house is huge and pretty.
We were looking for a vacation house just for the weekend and we invited friends to come along. It's a sudden weekend plan and we found this Port Jervis house described as mini resort. The house is so big that we fit four families. It's clean and well maintained. The host is very friendly and accommodating. We felt like it's our home away from home. We definitely would like to come back in the summer to experience its amenities, pool, tennis and basketball court, mini golf etc. 👍👍👍

Country charm with all the bells and whistles
Big wide open space inside and out with lush immaculate gardens and well maintained grounds. The pool area is second to none with beautiful waterfalls, outside bar and TV area, outside wood fired cooking area near the pool - honestly we barley left the pool area! Tons of space for any sized party as we had 10 full grown men and we could have had another 10 easily. Inside the house it is rustic charm meets everything you could ever need from fully stocked industrial kitchen to pool table and games rooms to large family room with everything you need. We went shopping and came with all our supplies and never left, we didn't want or need to go anywhere.
Really was an amazing trip and we built a lasting memory that will never be forgotten. The host Jackie was easy to book and pay with, easy communication and easy check in and out procedures. Highly recommend this to people for family getaways, larger groups, work trips with friends and just a great place to chill and relax.

About the host
Your host
I'm an Astronomer working at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. I've listed this home for my father (who owns it) and I'm serving at the property owner. This is our childhood family home (with lots of upgrades) and we'd really love to share it with others since everyone in my family is full grown and can't take advantage of the home every weekend.
Why they chose this property
This is a very very peaceful area. The entire road used to be the "Clark farm" but 100 years ago it was broken into lots and sold into large pieces of property. We love the quiet and serenity of the space.
What makes this property unique
This is an amazing summer getaway for people who like to be outdoors enjoying nature. Whether it's the pool, the tennis court or the huge lawn to run and play games on, there is something for all the outdoor lovers.
